| His stand is still hot off the presses, and already Koichi is an A+ wing man, that little guy impresses me more and more! (Where the hell were YOU Okuyasu?! Your stand power would have been REALLY helpful in this situation...) This episode wasn't the most exciting so far, but I still really enjoyed it, especially the unconventional ending and the cash register sound effect that accompanies Tamami wherever he goes. Although, I was going to call the entire episode a failure if SURFACE wasn't screamed as loudly as possible at leased once, since he screams it all the time in JoJo all star battle. |

| Good episode. Hazamada's Stand "Surface" seems like an annoying stand to go up against. Josuke having to fight a copy of himself. The mysterious girl has got her eye on Koichi & Josuke. Lol even the copy has got all the girls excited. Poor Tamami got beaten up. Really like Josuke & Koichi working together. They make a good team. Lucky save for Josuke thanks to those biker guys. Red Hot Chilli Pepper appearing at the end. Yukako Yamagishi next week. |

| Mathematically, of course a 4.5 chapters is still easily possible [since they've already adapted 4.5 chapters for the sixth episode and 5 chapters for this very episode we're discussing about]. But the 2nd half of the story is full of big story arcs, and DP probably won't finish one of these mini-arcs midway through an episode, that leaves really hard choice for parts like Highway Star and Sheer Heart Attack. For now, I'll just keep my faith on DP and hope for a well paced adaption. |

| I love how they added Koichi's Stand to the opening theme. They've been pretty clever about how they didn't have that before, as to not give away the plot. |

| God, i love Hazamada. He's a huge fucking asshole who puts the blame of his unpopularity on everyone else and their "shitty personalities", while doing nothing to better himself. He's also a huge anime elitist, and he makes his friend cut out his own eye over a disagreement over which show is best anime or which idol is best waifu. And i love him so much for it. I just wish he'd pop up more often. Oh well, at least he has a cute dance in the OP. Next week: One of the first yandere characters to ever exist! |

| A tension filled episode this week; contrary to some here, I didn't mind this arc in the manga. The interactions between Koichi and Josuke were great. They make such a great team. The transitions are pretty fun to watch and the general direction is, as always, top notch Glad to see Yukako next week, I always liked her character. |

| I liked the little fillers they added. The art was very good as well. That was enjoyable, I never cared much for this particular mini-arc. Hazamada should've been taller though. |

Mathematically and in terms of pacing it's fine for the moment, although I will point out that DiU averages 6.2 (6.18) chapters per story arc. Where the issue arises is like TahZin said; the latter half of the story has a couple of large story arcs where trying to sandwich in the mini-arc's is going to be difficult. This has me concerned if the anime is only going to be 39 episodes that they're going to try and compress the content of those arcs and consequentially ruin their thematic tone. At the end of the day I want to trust DP since they're done great with everything else, but it's enough to make me wary of what's to come. |

Since Surface is a stand bound to a physical object, the damage does not get translated to the user. The user just doesn't have any use for his stand anymore unless he binds to another object (not canon, but it's implied). |

| I like Koiichi. In most of other shounen manga/animes he would be main character (I always had impression that he is similar to Tsuna from Reborn, or protag of Boku no Hero Academia), but here is deuteragonist. And I think that type is better in this role (but maybe it;'s just Koiichi is this trope done right). |

| I found this episode fun. True, there's not as much action, but Hazamada's stand just doesn't seem fit for that kind of encounters, and their tactics almost worked, if it were not for the biker that stopped Hazamada just in time. But the fun is in those parts where he fails and is defeated. Especially when he's gonna get it in the end. |

He's just as annoying as the last guy too :v In the original manga, most of these characters were portrayed as of normal height when they first appeared, and then shrinked due to art shift later on when they got beaten and became more friendly. Even Okuyasu looked really menacing at first and then was redrawn into a more friendly character. Unlike what they did in SC with Iggy, including the art evolution into the anime, they decided to skip it altogether here in DIA and presented the characters with their final look right from the get go. |

About Empress, the fact that is bound to joseph's skin doesn't mean anything. Maybe normal people see nothing special about his skin. |
