| I always like the episodes where Hasegawa is featured. His reflections about life makes me think about my own life. I love the ending. Like Hasegawa, the alien was only just misunderstood. The next episode seems very funny. Shinsengumi characters are the funniest. lol |

| I dunno. The last episode, which was undoubtedly stupider than this one, actually had me laughing a lot harder. The jokes were either extremely predictable (hmm, he's giving an emotional speech, how much you want to bet the punchline is that they all ignore him?) or else just random for the sake of being random (Kagura's cassette tape). I still enjoyed the episode, but I'm starting to wonder the show's going to get funny enough to deserve its high rating. Someone told me it takes about 25 episodes, so I'll keep holding out... |

Gin without his shirt on <3 The giant rock fish monster just wanted to play, how sweet! and the greedy beach dude decided to make money off it! rude. The bit in the car was funny, and then they scared the poor guy and he crashed it and they just walked off, they should have just rode the train for free lol. |

| Eh. First flat out smile when Hasegawa falls down and burns himself on the manhole cover. Still not a laugh, but it's making some progress. Funniest episode of the show so far. Again, not saying anything. At least it means the show is improving. It actually has some jokes now and not just SHINPACHI SCREAMING or some cheap reference (Hey, isn’t the fact that One Piece exists funny?) or some cheap fourth wall break or some joke about ass hair. |

| Alright, there are definitely other episodes that I enjoyed more than this one, but I still really enjoyed this episode Kind coincidental that I watched an episode that takes place in summer, while it's not too far away from summer in real life haha; anyways, I honestly found the part where Shinpachi's sister straight up kicking Gintoki, Shinpachi, and Hasegawa into the car and then just get into the car casually to be really funny I also thought that the part where Gintoki was swimming away from the fish alien as fast as he could to be really funny as well, and when he was pulling on Shinpachi's goggles as well I definitely had some really good laughs in this episode, and I'm definitely excited to see what's next! |

| It seems that despite noticing all the many funny moments of this episode, nobody wrote about the introduction. 20 years ago an italian comedy band called Gem Boy recorded two songs spoofing popular anime mostly from the 70s and 80s, and also their tropes by extension. One quote complains about the characters never changing their clothes. Well... It took some time, but teacher Gintoki answered the question. |
