LITERALLY A FUCKING AVENGERS MOVIE HAHAHAHAAHAHAA CRINGE OVER THE TOP imagine rooting for cringevengers with their thick plot armor and idealism with the whole saving the world BS, HAAHAHA Watchanime324 said: ""Someone has to be the one to stain their hands with blood" firstly there is the structure and setting of the episode. after 84 had them talk in a forest (symbolic of the children of the forest theme that speaks of the cycle of hatred), they are now made to follow through on their decision at a port - the edge of the sea (ie ‘freedom’) cue the flying boat, the idea of flight linked to the wings of freedom the scouts use - representative of the hopes of humanity & the desire for a better future. it’s important to note the yeagerists are willing to destroy this due to their fear of it being used against them. however the wings of freedom hold both white and black feathers (‘good’ & ‘evil’) which ties to the main idea in this episode - questioning the morality of the alliance. in a story so deeply focused on showing both sides of a conflict we see the alliance face their ‘weak’ selves this is made clear through the use of daz, someone scared of fighting at trost - so wrapped up in fear that the lives of others no longer mattered to him. he’s a microcosm of the yeagerists, a group so scared that their value for life has been restricted only to themselves however daz (and sam) were friends, they were comrades. daz is jean without marco’s influence, connie if he had fed falco to his mother, he is the representation of understandable human selfishness. killing daz is killing themselves - the blood stain for the ‘greater good’ it ofc references bert’s speech when he refused to hand over eren, saying that despite his emotional turmoil he would do it regardless. it was to ‘save the world’ after all. this is what aot does, it presents a cliche grand dream and picks it apart from every angle. there is no conflict in which 1 side is totally in the right, there is no perfect ideal or perfect human and aot shows that. they are fighting to save people but in order to do so they must kill people who are, in their own ways, just fighting to survive in a cruel world. on the surface it aligns with utilitarianism, but it’s more emotional than that. magath states it well in his apology that condemns his own ego: ‘eren wants to eradicate everything, and that’s unforgivable.’ no matter how cruel aots world is, ignorance will not be the answer what eren is doing is the mirror opposite of karl fritz (king of the walls). karl removed the memory of his own people and wanted them to live in ignorance until they were sacrificed, eren wants to remove all human memory by wiping it out beyond the walls. what does that solve? the lack of memories didn’t stop conflict within the walls, or discrimination or classism, it merely engaged it. this is, as yelena puts it, because violence simply cannot be removed from humanity. kiyomi and floch agree - the rumbling is merely making the world a smaller place floch’s concept is also eerily familiar to the one beaten into the warriors through propaganda & brainwashing.the idea that those on the ‘other side’ are simply deserve to die. it’s self imposed ignorance in order to remain ‘justified’ - exactly what magath moves away from. aot doesn’t tell you which side to choose, it merely portrays two extremes with all their negative aspects. it seems to imply neither are ‘correct’ and a less radical method is the only true solution that would align with the buddha’s rejection of extreme viewpoints. however all of the alliance have seen both sides (as hange says in 84), they do not have the comfort of convenient ignorance that leads to either extreme. knowledge is a double edged sword, ie the biblical apple, as it forces them to make a CHOICE. levi outlines what a choice is. it’s not about right/wrong it’s about choosing what aligns best with your conscience. no one knows what the future holds but it’s the choice now which will make you the most comfortable when the consequences of those choices are fully understood. the warriors make the choice to fight even though their homes may well already be trampled, and the scouts fight because they just cannot live in a society built on the corpses of millions of innocents - even if that literally kills the ones they call friends. they stained their hands but instead of escaping into a role like reiner/bert did, all of them are accepting it as their own choice and their own responsibility. they become the ‘traitor’ and they have to live that - heard in connies scream of anguish there are also a few nice details that add to the realism and grayness of the alliance. firstly they don’t just save the azumabitos because they’re innocents, annie was opposed to this, they end up doing it because the azumabitos have functional value for their goal. not just this but mikasa wants to save them cus of the tie to her heritage (itself further commentary on the importance of culture), and connie uses that excuse because he doesn’t want to kill those he knows. nobody is wholly selfless or perfect but that’s what makes us human. the alliance are imperfect, but it’s in this imperfection that they embody the message of attack on titan. a group brought together by shared guilt, still trapped in the forest & uncertain about the future BUT a group honestly trying to do better. that may be all we can ask for Source---https://twitter.com/cactuzzshash/status/1503170934164930562 Another good thread "So long as we avert our eyes from our own foolish acts, this hell will never end." https://twitter.com/zer0Takes/status/1503147888125304834 enjoy your 139.5 ahhaahhaahahahaa

With all this madness and everyone being forced to make awful hard choices like killing friends, Eren's choice to end it all with the power he had seems to make a little more sense. If this world is so cruel, and you had the power to end it all, would you do it, no matter how many lives it cost?

rest in peace brave soldiers of Paradis. It's funny how hange says that genocide is wrong but she orders the killing of all jegerists and we can clearly see how annie and reiner kill unarmed soldiers, also connie killed an unarmed man. It doesn't matter anyway, Eren gave the world the rumbling they all wanted and they will suffer divine punishment

My view on this ep: https://www.instagram.com/p/CbcqYZHhnXv/?utm_medium=copy_link Review: Attack on Titan ep 85🍿 Maybe within the cinematic universes, I, as an audience, am used to violence. Or maybe my mindset is closer to Levi, who understands that you cannot escape from killing human ‘enemies’ if you have to achieve certain goal. I’ve always considered Jean, Connie and so on overly saint-like.🙈 Their lives were already being threatened, but they were still hesitated to harm others. However, this scene in Ep.85 made me realised how they actually feels.💔 The one who got hurt was Armin, who is a Colossal Titan shifter. The bullet wound actually gave him the key to shift to a titan. He is the most dangerous person in the scene.😖 (I guess Daz and Samuel knew that Armin can heal his wounds that’s why they chose to hurt him instead of Connie, they just wanted to scare them and hope that they can join them.) Unlike a lot of previous fights where the opponents were hurting everyone ‘recklessly’, Daz and Samuel was not a huge threat. But Connie had already made up his mind and killed their training mates.😢 If Daz and Samuel was more dangerous with a worse attitude, I would have appreciated that Connie had finally recognised the truth to survive in such times, just like how Levi appreciated Armin saving Jean in S3. Yet, in this scene, I couldn’t feel the threat.😔 I finally learnt how disastrous does it feels when you have to kill human, no to mention your once training mates. The author had ably used the power difference between ‘Armin & Connie’ and ‘Daz & Samuel’ and their past relationships to guide the audience through their struggles and pains❤️🩹, bringing audience that are used to ‘killing’ back to their ‘humanity’, which hurts the audience’s feelings and makes this scene unforgettable. I had been thinking of this scene over the week as it really hit me. That’s why I wrote this log to express my feelings after watching this episode💭 I am so curious about what would happen next as I have not read the manga yet 🤧

Daz, was shown as a very scared person, but when it came to protect the Trost district, while he was scared as hell, he fought because he had a sister and a family to protect. He then joins the yeagerists, because he things that that way he can protect his family. He was able to survive the terror of the titans only to be killed by some trash, who wants to protect people who want eldians dead. A fucking murderer A cold blooded murderer would not bat an eye when he kills. He wouldn't feel a single ounce of remorse in his body and wouldn't hesitate. Connie is not that. Is he a murderer still? Yes. I mean he probably killed a few more people in Liberio as well. What you fail to see is that Connie doesn't have a choice here. It's either these guys or Armin. When he shot Daz and Samuel, Connie was freaking hysterical, crying, and screaming of pain. What could he have done there? Watched Armin get shot in the head and then the airship, their only remaining hope, get blown up? The whole point here isn't that Connie or anyone else are murderers, the point is that everyone gets their hands stained in war. Even if your intentions are good, even if what you're trying to achieve is morally "right" or acceptable, to achieve it, you're going to have to do wrong things. Bottom line, war is never the answer. Violence only creates more violence. ^ Very well put. It was not easy for Connor to make this decision. I felt everybody's pain in this :( |

There are a lot of annoying scenes and dialogues in this season. Happy to finally see Magath bow down in front of the others (tho I doubt he still realises that he's suffered absolutely nothing compared to practically anyone inside the walls and then he will start talking about his fckin ancestors). And then there's Annie. This is honestly stupid. She has actually been with everyone inside the walls for a significant period of time and knows everything about them. Yet her behaviour and dialogues are like this. This is impractical and that's why stupid. I don't really nitpick in shows but AoT is a different case. I would have liked it if Annie's character was written better. Reiner and Jean are certainly the best characters right now. The second half of the episode was absolutely amazing.

I was wondering why Hange and Magath were so surprised when looking over the sea. If it's true that the titan already set foot an Marley, this is a big problem without much time left to stop Eren. Like in the last episode we got again a very intense dialogue. Honestly what did Annie expect from Jean, Connie, Armin and Mikasa? Mindlessly killing all the comrades they know for years now? It's such a tough situation for them. They need the flying boat, but at what cost? Magath again lost his cool. This time towards Yelena. You could see how he immediately stopped when he saw Gabi watching from above. I couldn't believe his words after, towards Reiner, Annie, Pieck, Mikasa, Armin, Jean and Connie. It seems he finally understands that nobody of them has anything to do with what happened in the past and also why this senseless bloodshed over all this time is just nonsense. Of course Floch had to murder some of the engineers otherwise he wouldn't be Floch. Wasn't a bad plan when Armin told him Reiner and Pieck are on their way towards Eren, even if it unfortunately ended up in a slaughter. I was looking forward to see Annie transform. It's quite some time since we saw that. Both her and Reiner looked dope in titan form. Poor Connie. The worst possible case occurred. But in such a short moment, what other choice did he have? There's no time, otherwise they won't reach Eren and the world will be doomed + if he didn't shoot, Armin most likely is dead. Still super sad to see. Seems like Mikasa and Floch will have a little duel next episode.

Episode 10 Review: mostly filler/boring as they talk and decide whether to kill the people who want to support and make the bad guys pay instead of teaming up with them to kill their island's saviour (EREN) ... the yeagerists. One great scene of Reiner realizing that what eren is doing is morally wrong and no sane and righteous person would do hence also realsing what eren meant when he said “I am the same as you , REINER” back in marley’s declaration of war time, though which I wish Annie realized too… (cuz she is god forbid annoying!) armin, connie having hard time to kill their comrades just because they are yeagerists who are against killing eren was nice but I really don’t understand how they plan to keep paradis safe without doing it the eren way , as eren said , unless everyone is done with paradis will always have a threat. Armin with holes and smokes was great visuals

Ah Magath, after being so rock-headed, he finally bowed his head down because its the only way to turned the mission into a success. But oh well that's turned out bad pretty fast. But what can they do, its already written that the scenario need to be like that, killing each other again. Rip Daz and Sam, even if you both almost unrecognizable for me at first, until Connie and Armin won't stop shouting your bonds in the past, i remembered again. Though, wtf Armin using Connie instead of shedding his own hand with blood. Very well, Armin, keep it awesome xd. And Levi too, silence is gold, yea...

Ahh the dilemma of fighting against your former comrades in arms, your brothers in arms, the closer you are to them the harder it is to part ways with them, especially when you have to personally bloody your ahdns and kill them yourself. Such is the sacrifice and torture they must go through to attain what they desire. Floch is far too sharp to ever be fooled completely, even then he reacts so quickly that you can't virtually do a sneak attack on him.

Poor Levi just sitting can't do anything Fabienne said: Aren't they all traitors now? Yeagerist just do crap again because of a flying boat. The sooner this story ends it will be best for everyone. You're right, it feels like they're just dragging it. There's another season coming next year. Wonder what's there left to milk. Just 10 chapters and lots of fillers!

Just 10 chapters and lots of fillers! First 5 chapters are good content(134,131,133,132,134 being the best chapter of AOT while 131 being the best interpretation of AOT's greatness) Last next 2 are a mess, good ideas but terrible execution(136,137) Second last is good and memorable (ch 138) Last chapter is a joke and can't be taken seriously (139) |

it's a very tenuous alliance they have, but i like seeing the implicit understanding they all have of each other armin is still such an idealist, it's nice to see he still has that innocence and hope but i wonder if we will ever see him snap and just let loose because that would be exciting i love seeing ODM scenes in mappa episodes, i miss how dynamic and exciting they were and they just feel so natural for the show annie and reiner's transformations!! so good!! so satisfying!! and seeing annie back in action was a throwback - and levi watching on as she uses the same moves on the jaegerists as she did on his squad i love how it isn't shying away from the psychological toll all this war is taking on them and it keeps reminding me how young they all are yet how much responsibility is on them all - connie's screaming at the end was kind of shattering poor guy

Connie, you fool! Why is everyone Helping Marley? Are you kidding me?? Armin, think!!!! All the bloodshed will end if Eren wins! It's a shame and frankly disgusting to see Armin, Connie, Mikasa, and Jean turn against their friends, family, and comrades. I'm sure Jean is only doing it because Mikasa is, and Mikasa because she's heartbroken.

Even though there are a few more eps, the show will end, but I'm already starting to miss AOT. If Erwin were still alive, I think the dialogue between him and Magath would be extremely interesting. Actually Eren's purpose is still very mysterious, I mean, did he really have this intention from the moment he kissed Historia's hand, or was it all just Ymir's plan? Where's Eren? I want to see Eren and Zeke. Start. Unexpectedly, the day Magath and Hanji work together. We can think of Floch as the bad and ugly version of Erwin. Seeing everyone together like that makes the heart of a fan like me so warm. I'm not sure if Levi will forgive Annie? wtf Hanji, What? I think Pieck's plume of smoke is very suspicious. Floch will find out. Please deal with Floch. I don't think there's any point in leaving Levi there. He should rest somewhere safe. I'm Annie's fanboy here. Annie! Annie! Annie! Actually Jean and Connie should stay and protect Levi, I'm afraid they'll be in danger Annie is still Annie. Everyone is arguing and having different opinions, but in my opinion we only need to deal with one person: Floch. What? What did Reiner discover in Eren's intentions? Wow take it easy! Magath is so savage A round of applause for Magath. I don't think he changed so soon. A gentle bow makes more sense when it comes from Marley's "president". Wow Floch is a sick lunatic. Another Armin's genius plan. At least this saved Mrs. Kiyomi Wow it's been thounsand years since we see Daz. Welcome! Something really weird happened lol look at how Samuel and Daz talk. Yep. They used to be friends, so Daz would definitely understand Armin, Connie's personality. Too bad Daz is on Floch's side. Please someone kill that bastard Floch, he's the cause of it all. Damn! Lady Kiyomi is so cool. But how did Mikasa get there in time? Give Kiyomi a gun, she's an ace here. No, Armin, no! Please don't shoot Connie! Who's shooting Floch? I thought Reiner lost his armor. Annie-Reiner team up. No, Daz! Connie, please explain to Samuel. So sad. RIP Daz, Samuel. Historia won't be happy. She saved Daz once in a snowstorm.

Jaegerist immediately are dumb, they prefer to send 200 rockets into the middle of nowhere instead destroy the ship. I really dont like how the anime making people idiot. Jaegerist in previous season was one of best organization, now they suck as much as possible. The wortst characters of series like Levi, Mikasa, Armin, Connie, Hanji are now more powerful, why? because why not
