| That's a quite nice first episode, though what's up with barebone characterization? I hope the next episode will fix that. And I want to clear things up, this anime was not fully done with 3D CGI. Only the Aragamis & the huge building were CGI. The characters were not CGI. Was it really that hard to notice? In fact, I really liked the really unique art style. It's different, in a good way. From a distance, yeah because they also have that overlaying texture, but when they were up close and near a character it looked a little odd, to me at least |

| Art style takes getting used to but I'm starting to like it. i recognized some of the scenes they took from the game, I don't think Aragami breaking in the wall ever happened though. Also I can't wait to see more of the Aragami, so far it's just been Ogretails, Kongous and Zygotes. |

| Already missing Over the Cloud so damn hard. But I guess they gotta sell a new song... As much as I hated on Renka since day one, he grew on me. I like that he has his head on his shoulder, for the most part. Just glad he isn't the overused whiny guy/taciturn trope. |

| Rated this first ep 3/5, but my thoughts on it may change when I've watched 2 and 3. It's hard to rate a series based on only the first episode alone. My first thought was that it really reminded me of Attack on Titan, but that's okay though, the setting and "world" was different enough for me. I really liked the character designs. You could see it was made by ufotable, but it was also a little different, which is good :) Their artstyle on UBW and KnK is AMAZING, but it's good with a little variation. However, I had a problem with the some of the monster designs. CGI or not, I felt they "crashed" with the rest of/overall artstyle. It took me a little out of it. Still, I'm looking foreward to the next episode :) |

| Hmmmm. Not bad. The anime could go either way from here, but it looks promising enough. GE's story wasn't groundbreaking anyway, so me expectations for this department is fairly low. I REALLY dig the art style and the level of detail is just unbelievable. Much better than the game TBH. The animation looks like a standard action anime, and that's alright, but kinda worrying when shows are usually to be at their best in the pilot episode. The OP is meh, but the music is good. 3/5 for the episode. Looking forward for the next one. And lol at people who say that Chaos Dragon is better than this. |

| Well that was worth the wait! Astounding visuals, Ufotable you have done it again. It's alternative, just like i ordered it. Decent episode, and a bit of action.. This ought to become a interesting season. |

| Was kinda disappointed about the artwork but I got used to it after a few minutes of watching. Artwork aside, the show looks promising. And I think we all agree that Amamiya's boobs were the main focus of this episode xD |
| Art style surprised me to be honest. I didn't have any idea at all since I didn't really check any PV or something. Was quite expecting something like Prologue's animation... It's pretty "meh" at first, but you get used to it in after a while anyway. I don't mind the Aragami CGs, either. I've not seen the manga, so idk if the character design for the MC is the same, but I'm liking it nonetheless. soma is like zapp trapped in another anime eyy Plot's pacing at the first half was pretty "meh" for me as well, but I just literally have a love-hate, but more on love and not really hate and LBR IM BIASED HERE, kind of relationship so far on this. There were changes, although I don't really mind them plus it seems like it would build for a good pace later on? But idk, really, what am I saying. But holy shit I was so surprised when it was Kota who appeared first, and appeared a LOT. bb needed more screen timeu in GEB. HOLY SHIT MY BABY LOOKS SO CUTE AUGHHHHHHHHHHNGHHHNGH The OP song didn't make me feel as "giddy", like, I wished there were more beats to match the epic things happening but wow look at the amount of spoilers in that OP, but I liked the music that started when MC went all "I became a God Eater to defeat the Aragami!!!" | so this is the series UFO used the spiral paradox director for...... pretty average intruduction ep. i like the art style though. the aesthetics are pretty nice. can't really say much about the anime now since it hasnt really even started yet. though looking at this subforum it would appear that the cups of Yuetsu may be filled once again. so is the animation similar to how the game is? as in the way UFO animated this is suppose to resemble the game in some way? |

| I never would have guessed that the first episode would be so enjoyable to watch. I've played just a bit of the first game, so I kinda knew what to expect. I think the art was nice though and the music too. I'm hyped! EDIT: also have to mention about the plot: YEAH, it sounds pretty similar to recent shounen series, but this was a game already AGES ago. (okay 5 years ago seemed like a long time ago) |

| I love everyone freaking out over the visuals. Like holy crap, a show DARED TO DO SOMETHING A LITTLE DIFFERENT! IT'S THE END OF THE WORLD. No wonder the anime industry is suffering. They made the visuals like that so it would look like a VIDEO GAME. You know, cause the show is based off one?! Man you people really make me just feel bad for the anime industry. ANYWAY, moving on from that little rant. I love the visuals. IT really does look like an anime based video game. And if RWBY, and Sidonia are any indication of how awesome CG shows are, we have some amazing fight scenes to look forward too. Also, this was one of the most impressive first episodes ive seen in a while. |

| Shingeky no Kyojin + Owari no Seraph + World Trigger = God Eater. Also... Generic MC. I liked the art style (ITS NOT ALL CG), and the ost... but the story is not that impressive, at least in this 1st episode. But Ill give a try. |

| I dont know what to say about the art. Its different. Thats always nice imo since the actual standard isnt totally my thing. I hope I will get used to it and start to like it soon, like with sidonia. The story seems interesting, but I already hope this gets more then 13 episodes. I always feel its a waste. New characters that are maybe interesting and are introduced after the first half never get the time they deserve ._. PS: I thaught the monsters are called god eaters. Well, that was confusing XD |

| Hmmm the action was good. The animation was pretty good, too. The backgrounds were great. The character designs will take me a while to get used to, but still nice. The amount of cgi is a bit... It's still nice tho. Well, I don't really have any complaints here. It was decent. |

| The artstyle will take a lot of getting used to, but I think it's pretty good. The shading looks off, sure, but there is still a lot of detail in the backgrounds, and the fight scenes are definitely better than average. It looks wonky at times, but at least ufotable tried something a little different. Soundtrack is pretty cool so far though. Story and characters are pretty lacking though. Once again we get the whole random ass monsters threaten humanity speal. Not everything has to be original, but even if you like this sort of premise, the whole episode felt really disjointed and the pacing felt off. The MC is yet another "I want to kill all the threats to humanity that killed an important friend/family member" kinda guy. Game adaptations are never going to be perfect as you are basically removing a key part when adapting it (that is the immersion aspect). Overall average episode. I'll watch for the cool fight scenes, but even in this season there are anime that have better looking anime that are much easier on the eyes. |
