| Well, the art reminds me a lot of Nichijou... I hope the show itself is much better. Cool, upbeat OP song. Dat jiji had some nice libido. Daikichi is cool. It left a very good impression on me after this episode. Did leave a smile on my face after watching it? Check. That's how I tell if a SoL anime is good.Looking forward to the rest. Whoa, ED song is good too. One of the rare combos. |
| I actually watched this episode like two years ago (end of 2012) and it got an instant 5/5. I put the show on hold because I wanted to save it for later. I rewatched this ep with my mom and the episode is still an instant 5/5. Man, so good. |
| What the hell is wrong with Japanese families....... Your Brother Father Grandpa Uncle Ect Has died and apparently he has a child around the age of 70 something ....everyone is morning there loss and everyone doesn't give his child the time a day and for what..............because it brings shame on the family because he had a child at his age..........come on To make matters worse no one wants to bring her home and thinks of putting her in a faculty place............ This little girl who just lost her father isn't wanted by any of the family just because it brings shame...............I'm glad I live in the west. But daichi being the hero takes her in.........all of the family are arse heads except him |

| Amazing first episode; Everyone being awkward over the fact the little girl is the little sister of Daikichi's mom, or Rin being Daikichi's aunt etc ^^ Love how Rin was trying to put out the flame And it was cute seeing Rin sleeping on Dai's hand, him unable to move himself. Overall very refreshing anime, and very light hearted. |

| Seems like a refreshing anime. Love anime that focus on family bonds so I'll surely like this. Hopefully things won't seem awkward since I know about *Major Spoilers* If I had to say one negative thing about this episode it be Minagatachi said: that Reina-kid is the personification of everything I hate about children. |

| I loved the first episode. Such a beautiful story. I wanna kill all those family members, for suggesting a facility for her. Seriously there's no limit for rudeness.... I love Daikichi. He was so cool when he asked Rin to move in with him. I just died..... <3 It was very sad and beautiful how they showed the funeral also from a child's point of view. |

| Daikichi looks like a guy who doesn't care but in reality, he cared the most. He has the biggest heart of them all. I don't blame any of them, especially in Asian families, it's difficult to take someone under your wing especially if they're still a kid. School isn't cheap, which is why a lot of people in East Asian countries only have one or two kids. |

| It's been a while since I last seen an anime with this kind of art style. I like the earthly and warm colors that should help bring the Slice-of-Life out of this show. I hope the show delivers since I really liked episode 1. |

| As a big fan of Ghibli's Totoro and the whole Dad doing double duty plot in that film, this one had me hooked! Rin is the sweetest little angel & Daikichi is an admirable Saint of a human being, I loved the scene where she ran to him in the yard, such beautiful anime, an instant favourite for me! |

| This anime series is a pearl, but how long it takes each time to see an episode, not because the narration is complicated or heavy, but because of the great emotional transport that it arouses every time: you can't remain impassive and almost unconsciously, yes they pour a sea of tears. Very touching start, the narration immediately describes the character of the two protagonists. Who sees this anime for the first time, do not get discouraged by the graphic style used and the soundtrack, the reason for this choice will be obvious after a few minutes, or when the character of Daikichi crosses the door of the house where you are celebrating the funeral of the paternal grandfather. The opening and the ending are also really suitable for the context told, very catchy as well. |

| My Christmas Secret Santa present.. ;P One of them.. Well, let's see it.. ;p I wonder, what are these ,5 episodes, the recap ones?.. Quite a lot of them.. Well, will see, to the anime then.. ;p Hm.. But is it really a dishonor to them that old man had lover and they had a girl together?.. Do relationship always have to be open?.. Something else must be, why it's dishonor.. Like maybe that woman was married to someone else, or something.. If she wasn't, if she was just young, and had child with old man, who should care really?.. You can love whoever you want.. Main hero at the same time seems easy going.. But at the same time he's not visiting family or his mom even on New Year or something for quite some time, it seems?.. So hard to say, how easy going Daikichi truly is.. And girl seems intelligent, curious?.. Not necessary, but just her playing successfully in that little rope game.. That other small girl is mischievous, but well, in her age it's understandable.. Well.. I guess people are stressed.. And that's why they're assuming bad things about possible relationship of dead man, his lover, and how they treated girl situation.. Or we lack some info that they have.. Yeah, this girl is intelligent, it seems.. Besides rope game, she's seeming to understand, what is death at her age, knowing dad's flowers preferences, taking initiative to make rice tastier.. Well, I'm quite interested, how anime will go next.. ;p I'm glad Daikichi took Rin to live together.. But it's not necessary will be easy.. Still it felt that they had some kind of chemistry, were interested in each other, really.. It's also sweet that Daikichi asked Rin's opinion, if she'd like to live with him.. Seems like Daikichi is respecting her as a person, if it wasn't clear before.. Well, interested, what's next.. ;p Can be pretty wholesome anime.. Or sad.. Or will go ways.. Well, will see.. |
| A cute starting of Usagi Drop.♥️ The first meeting view of Dai & Rin is so kawaii when the tiny flowers falling down. According to my perspective, Rin is having a still mentality, where Dai is having a gloomy face and affectionate personaliy. Besides, he often shows funny faces.. |
