| I don't even know whether it's pathetic or greedy. Like, in 4 years they can't produce another 24 episodes for one of the most popular shows in the medium? I can't justify this, sorry. Unless we'll get an announcement for third season real quick in which case it makes sense. But I doubt that's the case. |

| I could have thought that Wit Studio is just poor and/or inexperienced, but they have allocated time and resources for Kabaneri and Owari no Seraph so I won't believe for a second they couldn't have managed AoT. This all seems like a conscious business decision. |

| This is why I don't like the format of modern anime. I'm no AOT fan but I can sympathize. Imagine waiting 4 years for JUST 12 episodes?! I understand the perks of splitting animes into seasons (avoiding fillers, better budget quality) but I don't like it. I honestly rather suffer with fillers and get more episodes relating to the story, also have something more involved and airing regularly than wait years for just 12 or 25 episodes -.- |
| What would happen if you used a budget for 24 eps for one that has 12 eps? Seriously people calm the fuck down. There are a lot of great anime that won't even get a sequel or even adaption. While i have not read the manga, I'm going to sit back and enjoy this. |

Also, if we narrow it down to popular genres, how much more narrowed down will that be?. For example, FPS Games, RPG Games.. Gets super narrow if you try to only state games from specific genres. Also, I realized a few minutes ago that you also mentioned the Witcher 3.. Awful game, good story, I'd rather read the books that I never will read than button smash the fuck out of some dumb ass Drowner groups that keep on boringly respawning after I SMASH them back down with a "silver" Sword wielded by Geralt's MASSIVE muscles with one of the most terrible Fighting Systems I've ever seen. Especially in such a coveted game.. And oh boy the fanBOYS for this Game are intense, if you say anything about their precious Witcher 3 they'll have an emotional breakdown and meltdown at the same time and get super fucking triggered like they b some random enemy from the actual game lmao, their faces turning as red as the monsters in your minimap while they type very fast while breathing very hard down on their keyboard Cx Bloodborne is still trash, basically another Dark Souls which is trash by itself And the Witcher 3.. Wit already has Another 2 cour series planned for the fall season. So if SNK had a 25 ep s2 then Wit will suffer from it and both shows would suffer from quality drops. And Wit dossn't want any of the 2 series to suffer. Plus a production commitee probably knew that. |

They knew years ago that AOT season 2 was in the works and fans have been expecting a 2-cour anime. Small number of episodes is just bad planning/management on Wit Studio's behalf, but really, I stopped caring. If another studio can pick this up and animate it faster than Wit I wouldn't care either as long as we get to see it animated. |

| Welp I waited four years, and I held pretty well without reading the manga and avoding all type of spoilers, so after all this time I thought firmly that season 2 would automatically have 24 episodes, Its always good to have 12 instead of nothing, but I'm still a bit disappointed, they better not let us down in terms of production this season, and maybe they announce another cour for next year instead of waiting four more years for another season! |
| I'm gonna guess this is a split cour and the other 12 episodes will be annouced for the fall season, if not I don't really understand as there's plenty of material and 3 years between making it, well you don't hear me complain though, any amount of episodes are definitly wished xD |

| You non-manga readers should rejoice: you get to avoid the five or so volumes without a titan as humans inside the wall play out shitty political intrigue. That's a positive. I'm just here for the grappling titan showdown paired with Sawano's music. I don't mind this as I've read a fair bit ahead, obviously. Shame for those that waited but this most likely means they'll do another 12 eps sooner rather than later. Maybe a a few months after, even. Too much content/fangasming for them to not. |

| Admittedly, it's a little bit frustrating. What comforts me is that, at least, my favorite arc will be in this season no matter what. I do wish they warned us earlier than merely two days before the release date. They must have known quite early that this season was planned to have 12 episodes, and they must have known that people would expect the same length as the first season. It's hard not to feel a little cheated when they kept delaying the season, only to tell us pretty much a day before the release "oh btw it gonna be half of what u explained sry lol" (Unless it's possible that perhaps, they were initally aiming to make a 24-25 episodes long season, but recently decided to split it? For whatever reason?) |
