Great ep :D
Robin, Chopper and Franky`s new attacks were awesome :D
Annoying that the ep ended when Luffy was going to show his.
The episodes goes so fast that they seem to be less thn 20 min long.
Annoying that the first 3 min after the op goes to flashbacks, are the japanese that forgettful? :P

I figure that at this rate it's actually possible that they might catch up to the manga, and I'd really hate to see that happen...

Yea, I cant see them pulling out a filler arc underwater either. Would be weird.

Anyways, average/plain One Piece episode.

One Piece has many fillers... you probably don't notice them because they blend in well... makes it look like it was part of the original story.

Good episode.

So, does Caribou qualify as a potential future crew member do you think? I think it would be interesting if that would happen, he would make a nice contrast to the rest, and they still don't have a Logia-user.

That would be interesting to see.. There wont be alot of potential crew members in the new world that don't belong to a crew already. I think Caribou is a bit too much of a ruthless murderer though. I vote for Jinbe... even though it probably wont happen

Lol at Zoro and Caribou standing side by side watching the Coribou crew die with some emotional music. I knew something was fishy. "They look like a school of jellyfish", Zoro is legendary. ^^

This episode really felt like One Piece. The crew adventuring, a giant monster appearing, everyone's WTF reaction, teamwork and ofcourse Sanji's rehabilation (I swear I saw Kokoro there LoL).

Looks like this arc is going to be a lot better in the anime.

Whats with people in these insane ideas of possible one piece new crew members?

Caribou- Are you kidding me? In no way does he even come close to possessing the crews current strength and it just wouldn't make sense.

Jimbei- Ok, Jimbei is seen in the story of being a more idol structure. It just wouldn't be right for him to join the strawhats and would ruin it for me.

Fisherman island arc doesn't really seem like it would introduce anything new, its just a break after the timeskip before they get to the new world.TThe most I think we'll see is a bit of the straw hats new moves.

Whoa, now take it easy there, that was not deadly serious, just something I personally would have found interesting. And how are we supposed to know at this point that he is weaker than the crew (if that is true), I mean he has a higher bounty than most in the straw hat crew, and he is a logia which are usually strong. I don't know if you are a manga reader and know something I don't, but but this is an anime discussion topic.

The reason I even brought it up is because I was surprised at how the interaction between them happened. I was expecting some kind of fight, and for Caribou to be like a typical OP-antagonist, which didn't happen. Instead he ended up on their ship and instantly took part in humorus dialogue with the straw hats.

Great episode, again the studio is doing a terrific job on the underwater scenes, it's really beautiful to watch, especially with the crew gathered again.

No surprise in Luffy going to tame one hell of a sized squid called Krakken, was a bit Pirates of the Caribbean moment there for me. Everyone showing their upgraded attacks again and it looks really great how much they have learned, grown and evolved in their own in the last two years. Now that is credits to Oda for having a done another fantastic job on the character development.

I can't believe how much I missed everyone being together again. Commenting on each other how dangerous it really is, stealing catchphrases like Chopper just did to Brooke and he went all emo on it. Oh and the Jellyfish comment on Caribou's dead floating crew after being struck by the Krakken.

I was expecting this cliffhanger and looking forward to how they animated his new technique. Especially how it was drawn in the manga. The new episode should have been aired by now, so hope I hope it's good when I get to see it after Yibis has subbed the episode.

AHFSIOHF HAHAHAHA he's too funny <333333333

out of all three new techniques shown, i was most impressed by robin's! those were big fucking hands, man. plus she did it underwater. can't wait to see more, her power has so much potential.

chopper's gigantic guard point was cool too, but what i most was to see is if he's mastered his monster form. franky's rocket was no big imo, i'm sure there's more.

Uhh, it's starting to drag. I feel like a lot of thought hasn't been put into the raid by that lizard guy, whatever his name is. Isn't he supposed to be a logia type? Yet, Zoro tied him up using rope... I'm hoping there's something I'm missing.

Pirates are evil? The Marines are righteous? These terms have always changed throughout the course of history! Kids who have never seen peace and kids who have never seen war have different values! Those who stand at the top determine what's wrong and what's right! This very place is neutral ground! Justice will prevail, you say? But of course it will! Whoever wins this war becomes justice!

This was a pretty funny episode!
Especially with Luffy's master plan to tame the Kraken, Robin sketching the Kraken and Sanji's lady problem soaring to such heights that it can now be considered a medical problem that Chopper is putting him through rehabilitation for lmao

I mean, he's even wearing a sash of photos of women to help him recover omigod XD

Love how Caribou was introduced as this really creepy, dangerous rookie. Now look at him...look what being around Luffy does to people!!

That episode title was classic subversion! Wow. "Deadly Combat Under the Sea!", made me think it would be with Caribou but instead that didn't happen at all. Something quite incredible happened. A great 500 episode gag came in the form of Momoo running for his life and leaving behind the cowardly Caribou. Now, with Caribou's ship destroyed and allies floating to the top of the sea we have a no good, cowardly, self interested, psychopath who's coincidentally on the Straw Hats side but also wants to kill them if he gets a chance. That should be interesting. I found Caribou so hysterical in this episode, not because of him but because of how the Straw Hats dealt with him, he's a great example of a vaguely normal person to illuminate the eccentricity of our cast. Franky slowly and casually walking over to him and picking him up then walking to the side of the ship with him had me laughing so hard. And Zoro's complete lack of sympathy for Caribou's men, remarking they look like jellyfish was great. One small thing is that we know Caribou is logia, yet when Sanji hit him he hurt him, made him bleed, and knocked some teeth out of him. The rope was by no means sea prism was it? So, it should be either most likely an inconsistency, or a hint that Sanji can use haki... I'm betting on the former.

The Kraken was great! For showing off the wonderful personalities of our cast and for showing off their new powers. Luffy as he always does when he sees big monsters on top of the fact that he was just given the idea of taming a sea monster is excited to tame the Kraken. Zoro being the ultimate bro will come along and help, but both will definitely almost pop the bubble. Luffy's "the problem is we're under water" was great. Usopp, and Chopper are incredibly frightened and I'm glad Nami showed she's still scared when you get down to it! Robin drew an adorable picture of the Kraken to document what it looks like and Franky complimented her. And Brook relaxed with some tea. So good. We may have gotten used to their personalities by now but they never get old. Further, Franky has a real shoulder missile now, definitely better than the Franky missile he showed off in Water 7! Robin can form giant limbs out of many of her small limbs, almost like a third gear bone balloon. Chopper's guard point for some reason expands to an absurd degree now. And, as Sanji and Zoro come out to help protect the crew and get this Kraken, Luffy get's ready to show off a new variation to third gear! That should be cool.. I assume the other Straw Hats will have to try and save the fighting trio as they get sucked away by currents.

Sanji is getting over his Nami weakness due to some rehabilitation and also due to Nami putting on clothes for the first time since they reunited. Chopper stole Brook's skull joke and it made him very depressed, Chopper did it so innocently too, like he was just stating a fact. <3 And I really can't get over Franky's little hand, him holding the binoculars with it was amazing.

I also noticed two small but really cool things. Firstly, the opening has Roger turn into a young shanks, then a young shanks grow old and give his hat to Luffy, then a young Luffy turn to the Luffy we know now. I assumed it was Luffy who was first shown in the opening but knowing it's Roger shows a lot of beauty in how each passed the hat onto their proteges. The other is not relevant at all but Franky mentioning the Sunny is made of the Adam tree made me realize just how poetic the Sunny's creation was. The money the Straw Hats made that was stolen from them went right back to them in the form of the greatest ship ever!

P.S. THIS JOURNEY TO FISHMAN ISLAND STAYS BEAUTIFUL! The underwater waterfall current was a pleasant surprise to everyone. :)
