Couldn't agree more. Most topics are so posted to death, going on CD feels like eating the same type of food all day every day. Not to mention the troll posts that newly made alts create. Wish MAL would make a minimum thread creation requirement. |

These aren't claims - they're facts. I myself have witnessed how my reports are taken care of - except when it comes to certain friends of mods, in which case my reports are always ignored by said mods. I also recently came to know about a user who was perma banned by someone (who is friends with a mod) simply bc that person didn't like that user, and managed to find technicalities in MAL's rules to get that user banned forever. Wtf. |

I also don't get why so many CD threads are locked bc they aren't "related to anime" or whatever? Like? Then get rid of the entire section bc those discussions will always get toxic.. Like I said - rules are only broken when they're broken by random users. The moment it's one of the mods' friends who does the exact rule breaking, suddenly, it's all brushed under the carpet. The attitude of the mods here is one of the biggest reasons I'm not active in the forums. The way they handle their reports is too biased for me. |

... @nicethings Almost all of your posts that I see are filled with commenting on trash of anime sites, you are condescending, and overall, anyone who says something to you will face your anger. In this thread you are already quite active, like you draw pleasure judging scum. I know, since you also post in threads that I start, there is just pattern to what you write, your nickname, if it means anything, is nicethings, but so far, I just can't remember that you ever wrote anything actually nice, or at least positive, and it's not just because of this thread here. It's the reason why I always tried to avoid you. It makes me wonder, why do you even bother with forum site which will obviously be filled with 100% people you hate so much, or people you enjoy pointing out how much of garbage they are. ... As for controversies that I experienced myself, honestly, beside those shutdowns, which never bothered me, there was only one person I remember, and to this day he still comes to mind. One boy who commited suicide with shotgun, Shuaiby; I never knew him, or talked to/with him, but seeing his face covered, with only his eyes visible... Even some of his character favorites seem very gentle and kind, so maybe that is saying something about what kind of person he was. I'm not sure what to feel, or think, but I really wish he didn't have to resort to such tragic end. |

i have a miraculous ability to avoid drama no matter where i am. maybe because of how naive i am, idk. the closest amount of drama i ever went into was when webtoon reaching the DB was at its peak in 2016 and the ToG thread was locked when no-one was breaking any rules and almost no-one comes to the manga discussion nearly as much as the anime section so nothing was getting out of hand. it was at the point that when i found more proof that MAL was sloppy and ignorant of their rules and the mods resorted to mocking and sarcastic replies because they had nothing left, and then it was locked. i also lit into another user's awful argument on how webtoon isn't as constructed as manga when it's the complete opposite and the thread was completely deleted, even though mods say we can talk about webtoon being in the DB since it isn't against any rules. but yeah that's not nearly as juicy as the above stories so i got nothing. |

@rohan121 Yikes, that's why they're just irrelevant. Most of those kinds of people have invalid opinions and it's just annoying how those reviews are taken into account on the ratings. Maybe MAL should force users to rate with reviews. Maybe that'll make users realize how off-track they are. If not reviews, then at least give reasons to why you rate X score. |

That happened to me before. I wouldn't say harassing. I would just read it. Delete it, and move on. Since I don't like drama.
