Yeah I hope the series will address this later. Something about Nui could have made Sanageyama unable to detect her approach. Or Nui's power could have simply vastly outweighed his.
How could Sanageyama foresee an attack that he never knew existed (or for that matter Satsuki)? All Nui did was stick a pinky into his uniform, how could he have known that this would destroy his uniform?
Nui doesn't even need to be powerful, Nui only needs to know the vital weakness of those opposing Nui.
Yo! That's awesome haha :D It's brilliant how KLK shows a clever way to put it's references to other animes.
Virtual_BS said: So, we do have a twist with the new character in EP11.
I totally saw that coming. (read the quotes)
Prepare to have your mind blown...
Virtual_BS said: My Original prediction (EP9):
This is the only way I can see things happening with what has been revealed so far...
Ryuuko will defeat the remainder of the Elite Four at one per episode, taking us to the end of ep12.
These fights will be challenging and Ryuuko will take a beating, but ultimately work out some strategy/level-up to end it at the end of each episode.
Ryuuko may or may not fight Satsuki in ep13, but that wouldn't have any impact on the second part of the story.
At this point (ep13 or ep14), Satsuki will reveal the truth which will go something like this:
The person that killed Ryuuko's father is Satsuki's greatest enemy.
An enemy that Satsuki herself is not strong enough to beat.
This being the reason Satsuki established that school system - to raise an army capable of challenging said enemy.
...With the most powerful uniforms ending up in the hands of the strongest warriors...
Her army was still not strong enough to challenge said enemy, with Ryuuko being the tipping factor.
She forced Ryuuko to fight her way to the top before telling her the truth because:
She wanted to get Ryuuko into the school system so that she didn't just run away and start a fight on her own.
She wanted to verify that Ryuuko will be strong enough to for the impending boss battle.
She wanted let Ryuuko gain fighting experience to become strong enough for the impending boss battle.
She wanted to keep her around as a strong opponent for her club leaders and elite four to gain more experience.
She saw potential for Ryuuko to be the leader of her army.
The reason for school system being structured to determine the wealth of the families is to motivate students to better themselves and their fighting ability.
This will ultimately mean that Ryuuko and Satsuki will unite against a new enemy for the remainder of the series.
The structure of the anime will probably change from a one-on-one challenge battles to an all out war involving all the characters revealed so far fighting together.
The Elite Four may also get stronger and we may see some successful four star uniforms.
Virtual_BS said: Update (EP10):
I foresee an upcoming twist with the new character, Harime Nui.
We don't yet know if she'll turn out to be a supporter or opponent, but it should definitely make the plot more interesting.
(Although surprise opponent is most likely the way this series goes)
Update (EP11): [NEW]
So basically, a good portion of my previous prediction was just confirmed.
Harime Nui did indeed turn out to be a surprise opponent.
Moreover, she revealed herself to be the one who killed Ryuuko's father.
Further speculation:
I predict that Satsuki's mother, Ragyou Kiryuuin, is the final boss.
It looks like she also wears "God Clothes"
One of her outfits moved on it's own when she went to get changed.
She's the one who orders Nui Harime (the person that killed Ryuuko's father) around.
Satsuki and Tsumugu both confirmed that.
Satsuki was visibly upset that Nui showed up at her school, knowing that her mother sent her.
I expect the second half of the series to continue as follows:
Ryuuko, Satsuki, the Elite Four, and possibly the entire school spend the second half of the series battling against Satsuki's mother and her subordinates
Regarding "God Clothes" and Goku Uniforms:
"God Clothes" are probably manufactured and widely used by the Kiryuuin family.
They may be partly responsible for the family's vast power and influence.
Maybe they even sell them as weapons to other elites.
Satsuki probably designed the Goku Uniforms
...as a scaled down version of "God Clothes" that regular people can wear...
So that she can build her army to fight against her own family.
The Sword-Scissor may have been made by the Kiryuuin family to counteract that.
It is a weapon specifically designed to fight against Goku Uniforms.
In order to ensure that civilians, now armed with life-fibre powered uniforms don't/can't challenge them, they needed a suitable weapon to destroy these uniforms, should the need arise.
Reinforcing the parts of my prediction from EP9 that have yet to come:
Regarding Satsuki making Ryuuko to fight her way to the top before telling her the truth:
In addition to all the previously made points...
She probably knew that Ryuuko would defeat them all and wanted to use the battle data to improve the uniforms of the elite four (and possibly in general)
Regarding Ryuuko and Satsuki uniting against a new enemy for the remainder of the series:
Now we know that this may turn out to be Satsuki's mother.
From the way Satsuki reacted to Nui showing up, it seems that she dislikes her, but likely also hates her own mother.
Satsuki may hate the tyrannous ways of her family...
By acting as a tyrant herself, she can build up her own army without raising too much suspicion.
Satsuki plays the part of the necessary evil to oppose a greater evil for an ultimately good and noble outcome.
Regarding the Elite Four getting stronger with better uniforms:
This episode just confirmed that they're already using Ryuuko's battle data to patch flaws.
So Satsuki may end up with a badass army after all.
Immediate Future Speculation:
Given that Nui seems to be very strong, Ryuuko will probably not defeat her in the next episode alone.
I see this going one of two ways:
The fight spans two episodes.
The fight is inconclusive, or Ryuuko faces a temporary defeat in order for the fight to be concluded later in the series.
If Ryuuko does defeat Nui, she will claim the other half of the Sword-Scissors and use it in future battles against stronger opponents. She may even take it during the battle and use the pair to defeat Nui.
Right after this battle, we'll see Satsuki & Ryuuko join forces.
I don't think we'll see that in this battle, because that would mean that Satsuki would immediately alienate her family, and she's not ready for that yet.
I think she'll keep doing what she's doing for now, but take Ryuuko on-board.
Now someone better leak the next episode because I'm seriously impatient.
The frustration of having to wait a week is starting to kick in - That's why I prefer marathoning over watching weekly.
This series seemed like a perfect candidate to follow, but the plot is starting too get too good for that - right when I'm stuck in the middle :(
I really love this prediction you have here, it's perfect! I'd be expecting this too.
Yvese said: Yea this bothered me a bit. Satsuki is likely still above the new char's level, but to have who's supposedly the top of the elite 4 defeated with a fingernail... that's just too much of a power level jump to introduce a new char.
From this point on it's pretty obvious that Matoi will join Satsuki and the elite 4 and the new 'villains' will be Sasuki's mom and her cronies.
I really wish they could have eased up on the power levels a bit though. It was already starting to get ridiculous with this elite 4 battle =/
It's not really that ridiculous. We are given a false idea that the Elte 4 are among the strongest in this series. When a supposed powerful enemy gets picked apart like they are nothing by an even bigger enemy, it definitely has a bigger impact
Still we are 11 episodes in, if the real powers don't start revealing themselves now then this anime would get nowhere. KLK is clearly not trying to be your typical shonen where the protaganist slowly gains more strength to just about defeat the enemies shown from the beginning. She's levelling up like it's nothing, having Senketsu come up with new forms on the fly. She surpassed the Elite 4 long ago (around the time she flattened Inumuta), they were never the real threats, and tbh Satsuki and her Honnouji academy is looking weaker by the minute
And I don't think Satsuki is on Nui's level. Her rank at Revocs is among the top, and she's continually surprised/fearful of her abilities
EratiK said: I just meant to imply she might have not created the kamui original design in the past. It's obvious she makes kamui now.
Ah, well there's a fair amount of evidence to have people assume such. It's just a theory though, could be right or wrong. For example, look how many people believe Satsuki and Ryuko will eventually end up teaming together
I doubt that will happen, willingly at least, they may end up fighting a common enemy, but Ryuko will not settle her differences with Satsuki
Buff that exciting episode, the battle between Matoi and Nonon was awesome. Now we see a new rival and Satsuki's mother, intrigues by what happened in the series.
SHIT. JUST. GOT. REAL.
DAAAAYYUUUMMMMMM.
I seriously wonder if that girl really did kill ryuko's father or if she's just saying that to tick her off.
i mean, someone else could have given her the scissor half or it's just a replica but who knows man.
i'm just super excited for the next episode now!!

Nui doesn't even need to be powerful, Nui only needs to know the vital weakness of those opposing Nui.
If Sanageyama has to fight someone at least once before he could win, then he's pretty useless. In a life or death situation, you only get one chance to win against your opponent.
And it's not like Nui knew anything about Sanageyama before fighting him either.
Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.
how can be people be caught off guard by that twist, the second they showed lady satsuki episodes ago she was very obviously shady from how they treated her appearance, of course she ended up being the villain
The reveal of ryuuko's father's killer, well for starters i really doubt that chick is actually the killer, and in the unlikley outcome that she actually is the killer, thats just a cheap reveal, you cant build up the idea of there being a killer only to pull a random character out of absolutely no where to be it
The fights in the past episodes have been nothing short of awful, The fact that they boiul down to sanketsu pulling a new power out of buttfuck no where and then relying on the crutch of "oh its evolving" is just cheap writing and is not entertaining to watch, I realize its a bit hypocritical to complain about that since star driver did the same thing and that show was perfectly fine doing that, but with that the ass pulls were a bit more contained while this just doesnt feel like its trying
However theres one hope spot i have for future episodes, i dont think sanketsu is going to survive the next episode, that would be so much more interesting because now the fights arent just waiting for ryuuko to pull a new power out of her ass, also since the show is supposed to be getting serious the parody fanservice wont work anymore(plus the fanservice jokes got old too quick, they needed to retire them already. So despite me thinking these past few episodes have been the worst yet I do feel a bit of excitement for whats to come if the show really does kill off sanketsu

Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me
That must have been a brutal attack since when Ryuuko arrived, she met her father sitting with one scissor blade inside him. Which means whoever murdered him had to have put a WHOLE scissor in Ryuuko’s father, two blades and all.
SO how would pulling the scissor out and only ONE of its blades remaining inside have been possible without really doing some serious damage?
Also, Ryuuko’s father spoke at LENGTH with the blade still in him. Guy’s got the strength of a marine or war veteran or some shit to talk so much while supposedly being on the brink of death.
And then there’s that explosion when Ryuuko left the house in pursuit of her father’s assailant.
Too convenient, seeing as there were no signs of flammable material anywhere (since what happened was Ryuuko strolled in to her home and then found her father in the state he was in).
We really don’t even KNOW if her father truly is dead and given her penchant to just jump in, it’s possible Ryuuko doesn’t truly know either.
Either that or just poor story-planning.
ON RAGYO KIRYUIN
PS. I thought Satsuki was a boss (still do, and I mean boss as in “bawse” not, you know, “baddie”) until Kiryuin Ragyo opened her mouth to speak.
What a deep, sexy, intimidating voice she’s got.
And her brilliance is just, wow. Her minion literally had to put on sunglasses, and even then didn’t look directly at Ragyo.
Her hair is very similar to Senketsu form Ryuuko’s, like a bird’s wings, spread out in either direction from her skull.
Ryuuko says her mother died. She ALSO says she didn’t know much about her father. So who told her that her mother died? Probably her father.
And since she knew very little about her father she probably and possibly didn’t know that he could be a liar.
Then there’s Satsuki’s father, who gave her Junketsu as a present and wedding gown. No more mention of him since.
Hmmm.
ON RYUUKO AND SATSUKI TEAMING UP: A POSSIBLE REASON
If the speculation that Ryuuko and Satsuki could be related is true, and given that the only parental figure shown in Satsuki’s life is her mother, is it possible that they’re trying to avenge the same person?
If that’s the case, Satsuki and Ryuuko are pretty much like the two separate halves of a complete scissor.
I look forward to more moments where Satsuki's Cold Front thaws.
From the very first episode it was clear to me that she was going to be a complex character with very different sides to her personality.
I'm looking forward to the episode where she actually LAUGHS.
Kinda like how Annie's mini-breakdown was portrayed in that bore-fest that was "Shingeki no Kyojin".
Kudos to this show being so deceptively simple on the surface. My mind is buzzing with the infinite directions the story could go in.
If Satsuki and Ryuuko are actually sisters, how would their reunion be handled?
Just what kind of man is Satsuki's father, given that her mother has a behemoth personality that could probably emasculate any man lucky/unfortunate to call themselves her husband?
How did Ryuuko's father die, really?
Ryuuko's scissor blade is powerful enough to destroy life fibre uniforms, so just what would happen if it was used on an actual human being (those Senketsu being Ryuuko's father rumours)?
So many questions being raised by a show about two girls fighting in a school.
This episode really made me speechless.
Nonon's fight with Ryuko is really epic. Beethoven's piece vs. Eir Aoi's OST playing respectively during the encore fight makes it even more cool and funny. Mako's interactions with Ira and Inumuta are really hilarious especially when Mako hit Inumuta's laptop. Oh gawd his reaction. I guess there will never be a round 3 battle between Sanageyama and Ryuko due to course of the new events. Satsuki being nervous at the sight of her family's couturier made me assume that there will be serious argument between her and her mom. Although Nui told Ryuko that she is her father's murderer, I am still confused why the silhouette is Satsuki's. On the other hand, Ryuko's reaction afterwards was really scary. I think if Ryuko's ass will really get beaten by Nui in the next episode, I guess she and Satsuki will pull off a Naruto-Sasuke esque alliance and face Satsuki's mom who is the bigger boss in this show.
Oh I forgot, WHERE THE FUQ IS THE NUDIST BEACH ARMY?

"Everyone wears their own panties inside their heart" - Kousaku Hata
Since the purpose of the fights seems to improve the Elite 4 uniform by covering its weakness then I guess Sagaeyama don't need to fight since his uniform weakness has been found out when he fought Ryuuko last time and blinding his eyes cover that. Even with that, he still lost to eye patch girl.
As expected the true enemy is yet to be seen. The second half of the show will most likely be about them.
Nui's scissor is purple whereas the flashback scissor is red for both halfs, either they try to confuse the fans by reducing the predictability OR Nui is lying about her murdering Ryuuko's father just to get Ryuuko fired up. The culprit in the flashback look more like Satsuki to be honest.
I hope Satsuki's mother isn't the main antagonist that will be taking her daughter head on though.

Looking forward to some action scenes involving her assistant (Hououmaru).
Yeah she looks badass just by looking at her :D shame the series does not have a broad storyline, otherwise we would have had a mainstream series right here :)
Well...I never thought I'd see the day Satsuki would shit herself at the sight of someone.
And we all know that Ryuko has a bad temper...so the reveal...to say that she's a little pissed is pretty much an understatement akin to: "The big bang was but a trifling event in history."
She freakin blew her glove clean off from blood pressure alone.
Senketsu may light on fire if she gets any angrier.
I go by many names, some call me Hoshimaru, others call me Jiro or Aosou-Kun.
I believe myself a force for good, a papercrafter by trade, and one who seeks love and beauty animesque.

I am SO glad that the fight is over with that Marching Band chick! Her voice is annoying and so is her character. That aside, I think Nui is going to rape Matoi...or her Kamui. Wow!!
this show has exceeded my expectation soo much, the latest episodes have been epic and what a plot twist!
That, Nui Harime, looks like the strongest candidate so far and I'm kinda scared ryuuko's gonna get her ass kicked. Then again I don't think ryuuko has ever been so mad, she looks ready to kill. Excited for next week.
watching anime was only meant to be hobby... I says whilst I neglect my studies and post on forums
I just caught up from the first few episodes and this series has become very good. I'm expecting a lot more from the later half. The newer developments have been great.
Certainly, it is better than the previous installments.
The new characters are not anything new in terms of novelty, but at least the plot again. Narration in truth, who knows how much fun.
I hope now that to happen that has not happened so far, a crescendo until the end of the story! * _ *
I watched the scene of Ryuko's dad's murderer escaping with the scissor blade, and it was NOT Nui. The murderer looked like Satsuki: tall, with long, straight hair.
Also, the way Satsuki freaked out a little, and seeing her mother... in flashbacks, Satsuki has repeatedly spoken about using her parents and surpassing them, building a tower where she "a child can look down on any adult", using Honnouji Academy to train her own army in order to take down the whole system and make a new world. Now, I'm pretty sure she's opposing her mother, as will Ryuko in time. If they do team up, I really hope they give Mako another Goku uniform. She was really badass in episode 7.
I doubt Nui is the killer, because she just revealed it too easily. She might have just been messing with Ryuko.
Also, Mako climbing all over Gamagoori was pretty damn hilarious. I hope she does a "hallelujah" revelation moment this episode.

The silhouette of the killer has been inconsistent to say the least. I'm gonna go outright and say it's someone out of the picture at the current moment. It's not any of the suspected few. Definitely not Satsuki, not convinced on Nui despite it making the most sense so far, and even Ragyo I doubt would get her hands dirty in such a manner.
Figured it was obvious she was opposing her mother also. Her monologues as a junior would suggest someone looking to take over. Revocs would seem to be the company in control judging by the way Aikuro and Tsumugu were speaking of it. Even the way Ragyo let Nui go to Honnouji during this election nonsense knowing she'd interfere. Satsuki and her mom aren't on friendly terms anyway but Satsuki has to take down Revocs before she can achieve her goals, and yeah Ryuko will help her reach those goals somehow.
