| I'm a little sad that this show is turning out to be a pretty standard fairy tale. Looking at the synopsis, the art style, and the vibes from Episode 1, I got the impression that this was going to be a character-driven period drama. Instead, I got a flashy episode that amps up the drama in a way that does not feel earned and does not make much sense. The stepmother and the stepsister "torture" Miyo to break off the engagement. Why would they do this?? I thought they (along with head of the Tatsuishi's) were the ones who decided to send Miyo away to Kudo. If they actually wanted Kaya to marry Kudo, why didn't they arrange that in the first place? Is everything purely to spite Miyo? Regardless of what their motivation is, what exactly is their plan here? They captured the fiancee of the Kudo household in broad daylight, and they took her to... their own house. And then they decided to slap her around until she tells Kudo what they want. Even if Miyo agreed to that, do they think Kudo will just give up on their arrangement, when he already told them earlier that he intends to marry Miyo? Miyo manages to overcome her trauma and refuse to give in, even in her desperate situation. It's heartwarming and heartbreaking to see Miyo fight so hard, but it's a bit of a sudden change, when two episodes ago she was unable to even respond to her stepsister while out in public. The relationship between Miyo and Kudo is very sweet, but it feels a little too soon to have it tested in such an extreme situation. After the agreement between families, the feelings of sympathy and gratitude, and the kindness they showed each other, is their bond really strong enough to endure threats of torture and supernatural duels? The male lead easily resolves the crisis, because he is overwhelmingly powerful, on top of being dashingly handsome, wealthy, successful in his career, kind and attentive. Writing this stuff out made me realize this is a typical Shoujo romance, which is... fine, I guess, but a little disappointing. |

| Kudo's gonna probably keep Miyo by his side like all the time from here on out. She's probably going to be chilling with him at work and everything, maybe even will take baths together too. Who knows. He'll need to if he's gonna want to keep her safe from the real big baddie: some other old man. |

Although judging by the ending, they really want to give her a forgiveness arc in the future.Miyo's stepsis and her mom really are the worst bitches. The usage of abilities in open combat sure signalled a nice change of pace within the narrative in terms of tension and danger that the cast face. Kiyoka really is leading the way in being the most reliable when it comes to saving and protecting his loved ones. The irony that the family ended up burning down their home trying to keep their kidnap victim from Kiyoka though. The low angry voice that Kudo started with as he started interrogating Kaya really was well done. Her reaction to that though was kinda predictable given her personality. Im glad that in the end Miyo was saved successfully. But i feel that given what we seen in this ep that their trouble is only starting to increase from this point. |

| The explosions didn't turn out as I expected. Surprisingly, he wasn't the one who set the Saimori house on fire. But the intense and powerful gaze he gave Kaya, breaking her mentally, was really satisfying. Maybe it's part of a plan to break her down now for a chance to help her recover later. Kaya seems like she's being positioned as a different type of victim due to their parents. As for the mom, she's really unhelpful in every way and it's frustrating. |

Emotional manipulation of the audience as well as poor writing were off the charts this episode. Kaya and Kanoko's characters exist for the sole purpose of enraging the viewer so they can pity poor Miyo more and more and for real, in what reality does a plan like that even work? Did they all seriously think Kudou wouldn't show up to rescue his girl? The same girl he promised to marry some episodes ago, right in front of this exact same family? Did Kouji's father really think he would be enough to stop Kudou? Do villains in this show really have such poor thought process? Utterly ridiculous. |

| OMG I never wanted to be able to possess a character in an anime more than I want to be Mio in that store room or w/e it is. I keep yelling. "Kick that bitch in the stomach!" "FIGHT" "Put your arms around that little bitch's neck and choke until she passes out." I'm totally losing it. This is why I left my psychology degree behind and the counselling field. I probably would have incited murder by now. Oh for god's sake it's only been 7 minutes since it started. I think I need a drink. Am I the only one hoping Koji killed Kaya? I want to see he on the street, but she's too conniving. Dead is the best option. |

| What the fuck is wrong with that bitch of a step mother. I understand Kaya being terrible because of how she was raised and expectations placed on her but that women is just insecure and pathetic. I kind of wanted to see them get a hard slap to the face or a punch to the gut but Kaya taking a verbal blow like she did is actually better though I dont know about the step mother since the fire probably eventually got put out so it's hard to say how much she lost. Poor Miyo having to get traumatized more like that. |

I literally hate mc more than kaya.before this episode anime was definitely 9/10 but now 5/10. Why waste time with a beat down when there is a fire that could kill Miyo? The priority is to get her out of there. |

| That torture scene was hard to watch. Kaya is fucking awful. What a piece of shit. Don't think she's had a moment on screen where she was not being a slimeball. It's going to be difficult for the show to redeem her after all she's done. Kaya's mom might be even worse. Was unironically happy seeing their house burn down after how distraught they looked. Good riddance. Kudo rejecting Kaya might be the most satisfying moment in the show so far. Seeing her get what she deserved after Miyo's lifetime of abuse was incredibly cathartic. Damn, even more people are after Miyo. She can't catch a break. Surely Miyo must have some supernatural powers that just haven't awakened yet? Good episode. Probably my biggest complaint with this show is that I wish it would give Miyo and Kudo's relationship more time to breathe instead of trying to split them apart constantly. |

| The bitches Kaya and her mother Kanoko torturing Miyo was painful to see. The destruction wrought upon them by Kiyoka was very satisfying. Get what you deserve, you monsters. That whole scene, starting from destroying the gate, was just badass. And I'm glad Koji finally did something and stood up for Miyo, even though he would've got Miyo if Kaya and the others had their way. But it seems their troubles are not over. |

| Once again, I'm not one who'd advocate violence towards women but Kaya and her stepmom sure need to be checked out and smacked. Kudou should've gave them a slap on their faces, at the very least! Or yell at them: "SHUT UP, BITCH!!!" |

| Koji and Kiyoka racing to the Saimori's where Miyo was held captive from Kaya and her mother, the sought after karma of the women who were jealous of Miyo's good life with Kiyoka, they'll do anything to force Miyo out of the Kudo family, which having been tortured to hell and back, she would be defiant against them both, which irks them the more she tries to resist, knowing that she belongs to Kiyoka alone, which he is forced to use his supernatural powers to force his way into the Saimori family. Obviously, Tatsuishi knows that he's facing Kiyoka, which he would not relent if Kiyoka used force against him, which is nothing against the absolute monster of a commander, the strongest gift user. Knowing that their time's about to be gone, Miyo continues to resist, though Koji leads the way and Kiyoka presses forward. The Miyo of now is different from the Miyo of her own past, and this life of burden is made new when Kiyoka entrusted his life to her, which he after encountering Miyo in her tortured state, reassures her that everything's fine now. No matter how Kaya wants to paint Miyo in a bad light not having the Spirit-Sight, Kiyoka has enough of the pummel from the entitled girl, which he would not marry even if the Heavens permit it. Koji has no choice but to stay with Kaya's side, even as his love for Miyo persists, but there isn't a choice left for him. Left with no choice, they seek the Emperor to move along with the plan to stop the Kudos from claiming the Usuba bloodline, as Miyo awakens to Kiyoka and Yurie's relief. Well, this was a Cinderella-class type drama filled with emotions. |

| This episode was so frustrating to watch!!! What the heck man, the half-sister and stepmom need to die lol I don't understand why the stepmom hates Miyo so much. The slapping scene was painful to watch (well most painful scene). Miyo has grown up a lot since she left the household which was amazing to see. She went from being depressed to finally having purpose and self-worth. Hilarious that Kudo put Kaya in her place lol she was so shocked. I underestimated how much of a badass Kudo was going to be. The whole mansion got burned down, and the mom's reaction was also hilarious |

| this episode is crazy. kaya and her mom finally got humbled, we got some action scenes\ a cute ending and also a sneak peak at a future foe... im very excited |
