| Well this doesn't fit in the official reporting of ads but everytime i have this site whitelisted, I get this tiny snippet of sound before it dissapears. Anybody else have this? When i scroll around there's no ad in sight, like MAL Grabbed it and took it away just a split second too late. |

| I have ad blocker on all the time, it helps with the web browsing speed, reduce lag, etc. Except for MAL, this is the only website I have Ad blocker disabled. I genuinely support this website, for all that it has provided me with. |

| Since today's maintenance MAL has started to keep loading for the whole time for me says "waiting for googletagservices.com", and myanimelist-dena something" I guess its ads or something. I dont use adblocker. EDIT: seems to be fixed now, day later. |

| Absolutely THIS! Also mal blocks VPN and tutanota which I always consider to be a red flag regarding to handling private data and user privacy. Mal also states that their privacy policy does not extend to neither they have control over third parties so there should be no problem blocking those. |

| @Ley0n Correction, not all. The decent ones that the site can't detect are safe. With the rest (for example the one integrated into Opera) you would get a false ban message and couldn't use the site while you are on VPN. But the problem is the attitude itself not how effective it is. |

I can go to literally any "What is my IP" Service and it tells me "[Country], Proxy" or something along the lines. MAL is just blocking some IPs that are listed at Spamhaus and such. Maybe don't use a cheap "vpn" provider where everyone has the exact same IP and unprofessionalities like that. |

It is a very secure and anonymous mail, yes, but it is know for protecting illegals and spammers. If someone wants to register on my anime site, and uses freaking tutanota it is like a customer coming in with a ski-mask "For Privacy reasons". Yeah, you might be right, but you might also want to do something harmful. So why should I (or MAL) take the risk? |

| I'm ok with ads but there have been times when I've received ads that took me off the MAL website and I thought the ads were from scammers. I'm still unsure if those ads were from scammers or from MAL. What happened was that I'd go to the main page of MAL, and all of a sudden it would be a verizon page telling me I won something. I'm not sure if those were MAL's ads, but those types of ads really bother me. Instead, I'd prefer ads on the side of a page or hidden horizontally in between forum posts rather than one that takes me off the website. (North America) |

| Ok, I reported this in the advertisement complaint thread, but it seems this issue does not raise only with specific ads and is more general. Sidebar ads on the left of the screen cover part of the content when the display resolution is not big enough (1440x900 in my case). They are initially on a layer behind the page content, but after you scroll down, they move to the front. This has been happening with different kinds of ads, so I believe this comes from the way the website is designed, trying to display larger ads where there’s no space for them. tl;dr on small res ads cover content |

| Advertisements getting more aggressive and increased loading times. Sometimes when I want to click something, right at that moment the ad loads in and automatically scrolls the page, which always results in clicking something I don't want to click. I have this on so many sites... I had no problems with ad's in the past, but now it's reaching an annoying point, especially in videos. I don't whitelist anything, I keep my AdBlock active and also have a plugin installed to block any social and analytics. Instead of disabling everything, I bought a year of MAL support. |
