| I don't see myself as being manly OR womanly. I tend to gravitate towards the feminine, but I don't give a crap about people calling me a dude, because that's how I look - like a dude. That I can't get around. I've got a dick between my legs. But within my own head and if I'm to think about it, I feel like I'm kinda sitting in the middle somewhere in terms of how I "identify". Alot of people out there nowadays would call me trans, but I don't experience much dysphoria or anything so I won't call myself transgender, agender, genderqueer or any of those labels. I'm just me. Simple easy shit. I just wish people would stop making a big deal. Both cis and nonbinary people. So basically I'm what people would consider "genderfluid" but I don't go out the way to prove to people I identify that way, because I'm comfortable with it. |

If you asked me what my gender is and meant it different from sex I'd either say guy or that I have no gender and neither does anyone else because gender is just societal standards and a type of qualia. If you asked me if I felt masculine or feminine id say either both or neither or somewhere between because I have different qualities to me and the concept of masculine and feminine has no objective meaning. I think gender is a useless concept that only confuses people more. A persons chromosomal, reproductive, and external appearance as well as personal ideal is all that is needed to understand someone. |

There would still be people that want to change their sexual organs and/or alter their secondary sexual characteristics. I don't think it would reduce the occurrence in fact I think it would go up at least a little bit. Societal pressure stops alot of people from coming out. Anyways my point is that transgenderism or gender dysphoria would still exist. You can get rid of the word or at least you can try, but you can't stop people from feeling like their body doesn't match who they are. |

| I identify as female! I just wanted to also throw in my two cents on the whole dysphoria discussion. Nope, just removing the word won't prevent people from feelings dysphoric. Even before I knew what the word meant, I felt that something was wrong and that my body didn't really match my mind if you know what I mean. Actually finding out there was a word for it actually felt kind of good, because now I could attribute these feeling to something, which has made it a lot easier for me to try and get some help for it. Which is why I am going to see a doctor next month to get a referral to a gender therapist and see where we move on from there. But if I didn't know what dysphoria was, it would have made it a lot harder to ask for the right kind of help. |
