| This was a pretty slow episode overall... Gotenks appearance was nice, but... yeah, you'd think these guys would go SSJ from the start after seeing that Beerus was an actual threat. Oh, it was interesting, too... the song they used during Vegeta's rage-filled power up at the end totally seemed like it was trying to evoke Bruce Faulconer's composing style. That must have been intentional, right? Kind of cool that the people in charge of the soundtrack are trying to cater to the western fans as well as the eastern ones. Anyway, I've got to imagine Vegeta's going to go SSJ3 next episode, I mean, cmon'... he's got to, right? |

| This was a much more agreeable episode visually. However.... I agree with all the above comments that said that Gohan is the new Yamcha.... Why, Toriyama? Seriously, why?! That kid had so much potential compared to the other second gen Saiyans.... I feel like 1HKO Gohan will be a running gag in all future DB instalments.... The movies included.... RIP Teen Gohan. |
| Anyone else find it weird that Goku went down in 1 flick and a tap to the shoulder, while Buu took many hits and kicks, plus a blast, and he was quite lively afterwards? As well as the others, pats on the wrist, etc? Shouldnt they be blown to bits? |

| Meh, Vegeta's rage was better in the movie, then again the movie as a whole is 10x better than this but I still think this show is decent but I am more looking forward to the new content. |
| Even if I wasn't comparing this to the movie, I think the pacing here is killing a lot of my enjoyment here. Everything from Bulma slapping Beerus to Vegeta's rage took way too long to happen. Beerus slapping Bulma was over-dramatized here, which to me turned what was an "Oh snap" moment from the movie to something seemingly silly. Meanwhile, Vegeta's rage takes awhile to build & then once it does explode (I did like the touch of his eyeballs losing the iris though), he does nothing. He stands their for like a minute or three & tells Beerus he's going to pay (essentially). What that does, is show composure. In the movie, he acts immediately after snapping, truly letting his rage consume him to the point where it controls him. Here, he lets his frustrations stew, undercutting the anger he's suppose to be feeling. It's definitely not done well on it's own imo but when compared to the movie, it's atrocious. & of course, Gohan is nothing but a punchline in this episode. Being defeated in a less dignified way than even Gotenks. |

| [English Dub] 7.5/10 It was nice to see Gotenks again. Although I preferred them getting their ass slapped in the movie than slapped in the forearm in the anime. Beerus' rage about pudding was hilarious though. Speaking about Buu, I wonder if he'll ever difuse to a good Kid Buu since that original form was the strongest on par with Super Saiyan 3. Majin Buu can kinda do well against Super Saiyan 3 but not really. ... and what about Uub. ... He should be a teen now and possibly in the strength of Kid Buu as a human. What about Launch? We never saw them yet in the latest episodes of DBS. Oh well, whatever. Whis' reaction to sushi is fucking hilarious, love it. Oh and btw ... the pain of seeing Gohan fail starts! I wonder how painful it'll be. Looking forward for the English Dub to catch up. ... I love how they made this plot in the anime a lot more intense and dramatic in the despair from everyone of Beerus' power and being feared so much for feeling hopeless to what he can do. The "My Bulma!" scene wasn't that great ... the slow-mo slap itself and the groaning of Vegeta was kinda exaggerated but I still got goosebumps. It's cool to see the DBZ feel again that we all love so much when Vegeta raged. It was pretty awesome in a way. I prefer the movie version but this is still good. ... The art was pretty damn off on design in a lot of scenes but whatever. It's not that bad. It was worse before from the few pics I looked at from Forneverworld, haha. |

| Vegeta is still cringe and the fact the episode kept focusing on him was irritating. I have to say the Bulma slap, in general, both cathartic and badass. Cathartic because Bulma has deserved to get bitch slapped at least once and badass for the fact Bulma is willing to do something despite knowing how strong Beerus was. Unlike Chichi who was trying to both blame Kuririn and get him killed. But, why did they make Beerus so menacing? Seems over-the-top. And why can't Piccolo tell or not know about Beerus being a god when he has Kami inside him? I would figure Kami would know/feel more of the gods than Dende. |

About Uub, Super takes place inbetween the last 3 episodes of Dragon Ball Z since there's a 10 year timeskip in Z. This is pretty much right after Kid Buu got defeated, Pan isn't even born yet either. Again agreed regarding Vegeta's rage after Bulma got slapped, was miles better in the movie, felt a lore more impactful. |
