Something that Irisviel and Kitsurugi knew too well and since they have made quite an effort for her to have a normal life, it would not be unreasonable that they reversed said tuning while she was still an infant.

Unless you tell me there is some specific rule of magic in type moon
then I think that it is still a possibility; which sadly we will never know for sure unless we get a time skip, but I deem it quite improbable since one of the bonus for many fans is precisely that Illya (and friends) is a loli.

I know, but i almost don't want to admit that's my bad since the F/SN adaptation was too bad to keep watching. Don't even most Nasu fans agree on that? But i expect Ufotable to fix that for everyone.

This actually makes sense for anyone who bothers to think about it.
Oh, i'm sure, but it's a bunch of stuff explored in a 50+ hours book, and then just sort of mentioned and used in a spin-off. Not requiring that everything needs to be explained in detail again in a spin-off, just being grumpy about it.

And I have to ask again.

Why are they even buying bras when they wont develop secondary sex characteristics at any point of their lives?

Whats up with this random choice of fanservice "plot"?
Oh, that's actually what teenagers do, i've heard from moms. Or are they preteens? Whatever. Preteens too, i'm sure. You're not cool if you don't have a bra, regardless of your level of boobage. I think i've also heard a similar thing about boys starting to shave before they really need to. You can at least pretend to be adult, i guess.

It's not only the first anime.Bazett doesnt even appear in the "original" FSN Visual novel. She is from Fate/Hollow Ataraxia.
So if you expect to see Bazett in the remake prepare to be disappointed since

Well... i guess Bazett would have been cool if i had any context for her, but now i'm just stuck wondering what the fuck she is. She just shows up and she's the funkiest thing ever. Ok. I guess that's what you get for watching a spin-off before watching the original. I always thought that this would do its completely own thing, and it kinda did in the first season. "This isn't about grails and wars and saving the world. This is about magical girls. Weee ^_^ ", kinda. How foolish of me to think that it wouldn't dive deeper into the Fate mire. With how underdeveloped she was, and really how little she accomplished, Bazett feels more like fanservice than anything else. But that's fine. Fanservice is the point of this show, and i'm sure she'll do something more substantial in the future.

Well, that because she IS a fanservice for the fans. As everything else in this series. Yes, first season was reasonably standalone but even that, there were lot of references you wouldn't get without some knowledge of the world.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend this to anyone prior playing both FSN and FHA games and seeing F/Z or at least knowing hell lot about Nasuverse.

Kaleid is almost the same as Carnival Phantasm in its approach and it doesn't bother with telling you the basics simply because you are not meant to watch this without knowing them.
It's the same as this summer's Persona 4 Golden anime that's meant as bonus for game players not as standalone version.

It is not that you are not meant to watch them without prior knowledge since you can still enjoy as much as watching a The Simpsons episode without understanding all the references. The simple truth that this is a TV series shown after midnight so you are not going to see while shuffling channels, this is made mostly for Fate fans and people watching know it, but if you are a loli or magical girls aficionado the series is still good enough on its own right.

If in the future they make a movie of Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya you can be assured that in the first five minutes they will try to explains as much as possible about the grail wars, the kaleido sticks, the magician organization, etc. because a movie is made to appeal to a broader public.

There's a movie? Nah it's getting REALLY old now <_<

Anyway, I doubt they will ever do that. A movie is not long enough to be comfortable wasting time explaining how shit works in Fate/, especially because of how much there would be to explain.

The difference here is that with UBW (or HF) you do not have a generic angle to pitch to the broader public, so wasting time in explanations would have only enraged the fanbase. But with F/KLP☆I you got the magical girls (remember Puella Magi Madoka Magica?) angle, which if done right could increase the amount of fans of the Fate franchise in general since you could even show it to little kids (the yuri situations are not an issue, Madoka/Homura have proven that).

They can get away with a simple "It is magic!", as long as the fights are entertaining and the plot keeps the viewer interested. TBT a movie meant for the broader public must have an easy to understand plot (see Avatar), if there are more complex issues underneath that is fine as long as it does not bog down the pace.

Yeah, unless its a short scene near the end of

Yes, but does it really matter? There is viewers' perspective and character's perspective and they can use both as they already did in F/Z (eg. some Masters not knowing there is more then one assassin and so on)
They would need some scenes for Kirei to get more screentime and it's not like that viewers don't really know him after watching what he did in F/Z. I doubt they want only one Shirou's perspective and plotline in anime, I am nearly sure of that.

Except that does not work with FSN with the nature of the storyline being all about DISCOVERING those things.

Why do you think they broke away the "Master to servant" order of CMs for Lancer? Because its a spoiler.

Also viewing order is still the same so FSN should assume you have no knowledge of 4th war.

Yeah... when you put it like that i think i'm on board. I once had a conversation with a guy who thought that Disappearance of Haruhi should have set up and explained the backstory more. I didn't think that was fair since it is a straight up sequel, but it is a movie that played in theatres, so idunno~

You know what would have been awesome? A 3-5 minute special, maybe in a "moving comic" style or something, that sums up what the character is about. Almost like those cinematics from the DCUO game http://youtu.be/JgCMnFvorPI

Being different mediums doesnt mean that the creators must be forced to explain things that the viewer should and could have already know.

If someone watched DoHS first then it is their mistake.

Kaleid is different but then we have to explain, different universes, and Bazett's "main" story from FHA, is very different.

What we needed to know about her was actually in the series.

Massive improvement since the first season, at least in my opinion. Still could have done without the yuri, in fact this was way worse but I tolerated it for the fight scenes.

Liz is best girl so far, with Kuro coming second.

Would laugh if the 8th card was actually just sasaki kojiro, though it's obvious that's not happening (just in case someone says how impossible it is...)

Anyways, I'm looking forward to the sequel and hopefully it has less yuri (and less loli... a man can dream, right?)

Bazett is a monster in combat, but Luvia and Rin are of wickedness! XD
Too bad little tough the battle, but at least it is well managed, accessible narrative is the episode at the end of this really matters.
The Plot wing end while giving plenty of space to sentiemnti, still leaves a good suspense, I'm looking forward to the new year.
Drawings and animations really good, a great second season from the technical point of view, although a smaller TV series in the world of Fate.
Congratulations to the Silver Link and the rest of the staff who worked there.
Excellent also the last end-card.
For now, my final grade is 7.5 / 10!

Well, finally finished this season. I dunno how I feel about it tbh

On one hand, there were nice fights (especially vs. Bazett) and a lot more plot development. On the other hand, I felt the comedy and such in this season was more cliche / less funny than in the first season if I recall correctly.
Although this season was good, I think I probably like the first season better..

I'm guessing the 8th card is
? Well, regardless of who it is, it will be interesting to see how the plot continues to unfold

Final score: 7/10

The comedy was identical to the one in FSN so fi YOu think this is cliche, FSN might as well be.Might as well rate that one 7/10 too.
