| I can hear the screams of Byakuya fans everywhere. These powers are getting a lot more technical, first the whole frozen bit and now the optic nerves. Short chapter, but it was nice with the entry of Byakuya. I'm curious if he'll just finish him off or let Rukia commit to this fight. It wouldn't seem quite fair if Renji came out victorious and Rukia didn't get some glory. |

| Sheesh i think we all pretty much saw byakuya coming a long time ago anyway As nodt breaking out from being frozen ugh the logic for several weeks has just been lower than anything, so i guess Hyorinmaru's ice is still better freezing than this one if her just broke out of it the next moment later (maybe). |

| As if that wasn't a ridiculously obvious final page, but I liked the chapter, the fear guy's power was cool and he looked pretty nasty, in a good way. Byakuya should have been killed off though. Anyway, let's see how this pans out. Well, we know how it will, he'll kill him in 1 chapter and that's it. I can't wait for the real battles to begin, not these 1 shotting everyone battles. Kubo is just trying to fit everyone in without using up too much time, I guess that's fine(though he really didn't need to try fit EVERYONE in like he is), cause the sooner he gets to the real story in this arc, the better. |

| Nodt looked really creepy in this chapter but it was quite interesting. But in the end Kubo could just let Rukia win this time and move to next fight... But no, he needed to pull just one big (character, not ecchi) fanservice. It's not that I complain, but I thought that Byakuya will appear later, because it's starting to took too long and much effort to defeat every quincy. And we still have the stronger ones ahead. |

How predictable, for all the critism it gets at least Fairy Tail has Erza Scarlett who I can count on winning one fight on her own every arc or have one moment of awesomeness. Still though it still better than the way females are protrayed in Naruto. Anyway hopefully Kubo suprises me and Rukia contributes in As Naubt's defeat, maybe in the end she saves Byakura. Come on Kubo surprise me and let little sister save big brother for once. True. But I also think that Kubo just wanted to drag things out. |

And the fights against the quincies are getting dull and repetitive , it's always "a shinigami starts fighting a quincy ; the shinigami looks superior and it looks like the quincy was defeated ; but then the quincy uses full power and defeats the shinigami ; then another shinigami appears to defeat that quincy".........jeez |

| To be totally honest, Rukia isn't strong enough to beat a guy who managed to beat a Shikai Byakuya in the past, regardless of her new powers. She did well, and it was nice to see her power, but it'll be better suited for another opponent. Rukia needs to fight somebody more to her own level, so I kinda agree with Rukia not getting her chance to win, it'll come later, when all these little skirmishes end and the real story gets underway. I want Nel and Grimmjow ffs! And Urahara, plus just generally wanting to know what is going on/went on in Hueco Mundo. I really do believe the quality of Bleach will raise when we finish with these silly skirmishes where he's trying to fit everybody into as little chapters as possible. Hopefully Kenpachi gets more than a 1 slash fight, and I really do hope he's not involved in these shitty skirmishes. |

I'm not a huge fan of Rukia but Kubo essentially took all of the progress she had made in increasing her abilities and threw it all to the wayside in the span of a chapter. It was just a major cop out for her new ability to just become useless to this guy's "fear". Just reading this chapter felt like the past two chapters before were essentially write offs. Kubo is far too good at making little sense. While I do enjoy Byakuya entering, as I said above it seems to just belittle Rukia's powers and cast her aside as just another shinigami. I would have much rather seen one of the espada come down with Urahara or something but I'm sure that will happen eventually. All that said, I just really find this whole arc to be very dry and predictable. I'm not a fan of any of the sternritter and I do not like Juha Bach as the big baddie right now, perhaps that changes but right now he's boring to me. Again though, these chapters will probably all progress similarly to this one, very slowly, due to Kubo's uncanny ability to prolong things with needless panels stretching everything out. |
