I think it's based off the manga. I can't confirm though since I don't read it but that's what I've heard from others before.

In the meantime....kawaii Shinku .jpg

I had expected some development of his relation with that girl romance-wise, but not much progressed. Disappointed. That cat fight between Shinku and Suiginto was amusing. Is he going to make a new doll? Curious to see what happens in next episode.

If I ever had a manager like that, I would try to find a different job and make sure I'm gonna 100% get that job. After that, I would intentionally get him to start another lecture, then quit in a mini-fit-of-rage.

I wonder if that play is gonna re-tell the whole storybook that they show small sections of in the beginning of the episodes. On the other hand... It could just be a play. Though seeing that doll makes me very suspicious.

I like how Suigintou's artificial spirits bring up the tea for her, that was cute :) and of course, she and Shinku still aren't getting along, though they sit pretty closely to each other. But temporary cease-fire is good.

And screw that manager...does he really think he's any better just because he has a full time job and can boss people around? Not to mention, he's hideous ._. Lastly, Juuuuun don't do it! Don't make another doll!

I loved the Shinku vs. Suigintou fights. So classy... but I still like Suigintou more :)

That manager really sucks ass. I've had a manager like him before (although he didn't hit on girls... that much), and I can totally relate the feeling of wanting to punch him in the face whenever he talks about how important he is and how useless his employees are. Good thing I don't work for him anymore.

Thanks, person who gave me this on another site a long time ago, lol.

I love the fact that the anime is very faithful to the manga and is showing every aspect of the story.....but.....they're going at such a slow pace.

Am I the only one who honestly doesn't care much about the Alice game and just wants to see Jun develop his relationship with the girl from work >_> I agree though that the quality definitely picked up after the first episodes and I'm not really minding the slow pacing that much.

Another really good episode.

I hope that manager dies a painful death.

Poor Jun...he's totally being treated like an outsider. I know shit will happen if he makes his own doll but I hope he does...it will get things moving :)

Loved Suigintou and Shinku's squarrels XD They looked adorable after the water fight <3

Still shipping SaitoxJun.

Because of all the people who stopped watching after the first episode, no doubt.

Except that's not the point of the show? You not having seen either of the first two TV anime and not having read the manga (according to your list) is a major impendiment to understanding and appreciating the plot of this show (because of how the first episode handled adapting the first manga).

While the manager is an ass.

He's right about everything, Jun look down on others, while in reality, he's the real pitiful one.

Many shut-ins actually believe that they're better than most people they interact with, and Jun is no different from them.

That's a big slap in the face to Jun, at the same time, a big reality check. Jun is frustrated because he know the manager is right, yet he couldn't bring himself to admit it.

"If I have lived a normal life up til this point, I would've been much better off! I definitely would have!! That's why this loser shouldn't say that to me!"

This show is showing quite some depth, much like season 1.

On a sidenote...

SHINKU CUTE!!!

Shinku and Suigintou are ADORABLE when they catfight! I'm glad Suigintou's not so much a villain anymore.

Manager's a prick... As usual. Not-wound Jun really needs a new job. :/

And, zomg, Kanaria. I'm excited! :)

This episode hits quite deep for me. What the manager said reminds me alot of the whole social morality thing from Welcome to the NHK; how people look down on others cause they think they're assholes yet their own lives suck and it isn't going anywhere. Sad thing is I don't think he'll get anywhere with that girl, and I can understand why he feels so worthless if Shinku were to go away. In fact, i think he must feel used, that he's a part of some grand inter-dimensional death match and he's not even the main character really. It's really sad and I think this episode conveyed alot to me

That sounds about right. I mean he gets texts reassuring him about stuff he was literally just thinking about. And we know from earlier episodes that Kirakishou is watching the Unwound world and knows how much time Shinku has left. The Unwound Jun will probably go against Shinku's warnings and stupidly make a new doll and all hell will break loose. I just hope we actually see the aftermath because at the pace of the show idk where things will end up.

I mean the book even said "a rose fragrance doll". But I guess Jun doesn't actually know anything about Kirakishou so he wouldn't take that as a warning.

This episode is actually the one that has me convinced that the store manager is a well written character; he's completely realistic, a jaded asshole and a believable antagonist to give Jun the proper struggle needed to push forward.

He was made to be just some lazy, stupid jerk who does nothing but flirt badly with girls using his power, yet underneath that he is able to read people incredibly and manipulate them, as many small time managers actually do in real life.

Part with Hina Ichigo was quite touching, poor Hina, poor Shinku T_T

And what is with that doll, which (or better say who) will be made by Jun??? Will she be completed, will she be new doll at all, or a one from seven already known, if so, who exactly??? So many questions... Hope to get answers in next episodes, which I can't wait ^_^

This series is pretty good, though I'm still waiting for something exciting to happen.

It took my a while to realize, but after comparing to other series, I noticed how great and detailed the art is in this series.

Lol, that manager is really acting cool, but I'm pretty sure that his "friends" are just some other hipsters boys as I like to call them. This is so promising and so far the only show with no BS fan service and a good story (that I watch at least) this season.
I almost never read discussions after I made my post, if you want to reply PM me or post on my profile page.

Why do I keep getting the feeling that each and every episode is simply not enough...? I really enjoy how Shinku and Suigintou's tussles aren't as... acrimonious as it was in the deviant alternate anime series. They really do look more like sisters who simply don't get along here. I'd like to see what happens if adult!Jun ever completes what looks to be the physical body of Kirakishou.

That manager is just proving to be more and more of a sleazy jerk every episode. The fact that he gets viewers riled up means he's an effective "antagonist" to Jun's otherwise bland daily life though, I'll give him that. That acting troupe... seems like the right kind of crowd that Jun would've fit into. If only he wouldn't be so socially awkward it seems he'd gain new friends there easily (and probably a girlfriend too *cough* Saitou *cough*). It's not too late to change...

The troupe seems like it's filled with nice people. Unlike the manager.

Aww, that shower scene was cute and hilarious.

Aww, Jun's jealous of Wound Jun. He also hates the manager.
Now he's building his own doll. Show them what you can do, Jun!

So from now on, I'll call College Jun simply Jun and Middle School Jun as Wound Jun.
I’m always searching for something, for someone. This feeling has possessed me I think, from that day… That day when the stars came falling.

Feeling unappreciated and bitter humiliation make the plot very gloomy but realistic, beautiful! I believe more and more strongly that it is necessary to review the past series. Narration nice pier slice of life as everyone has seen, but fun, you never get bored. This new doll will be a danger or not? I think it is dangerous this move by Jun! ^ ^ "
Drawings and animations, not bad!

P.S. The head of Jun will also be right, but it deserves to die a painful death!

Ooh Jun is making his own doll now after getting the OK from the Jun who wound the key! I hope it's not a trap...

I literally want to punch the store manager in the face.

Did I see Kanaria in the preview? Yay! Time for some kashira!~
