Now it's going to be seen by all of the newbies, isn't it? I wouldn't be surprised if Izaya's and Shizuo's faces are as ubiquitous as Light's and Lelouch's.

Also, there's probably going to be a ratings jump because of this, perhaps taking above Baccano again.

Well, not that I mind. There are much worse anime out there, and this does make for a good starter series before you get into the really good but more obscure stuff.

Even if the dub sucked from what I heard.
=X

Mikado's performance feels kind of stale, but otherwise it's pretty good. Of course, some people will say any dub sucks.

What I find more interesting is that they choose to air it after the DVDs have all been released.

Really? I only got to hear a few seconds of each voice so. And I'm not one of those.

^Adult Swim is a program block on Cartoon Network that airs some anime.

Nice news that DRRR!! is getting on tv, now I have an excuse to rewatch it. I remember when it was airing, some people were hoping it would end up on adult swim, but I never thought it'd happen. I wonder if the show will get popular. Also, I wish they would air Baccano too...no matter how unlikely that is. ;_;

I didn't even know they dubbed it.

But from what I've seen, the only decent voices were Izaya's and Shinra's. Shizuo's was butchered, Mikado's was... ugh, Kida made me want to cry as a Kida fangirl.

I'll end up watching it anyway, just so I can remember why I love watching subbed anime.

Also, for the person who was asking, they only air it on Saturday nights/Sunday mornings. EARLY. From, I think, 11 PM to 5 AM. So I hope you like being a night owl.

I agree. A lot of people I know call themselves big anime fans when all they watch is that shounen crap that airs on Adult Swim...

Well, at least casual viewers will get to watch a superb anime, even if it is dubbed.

Here's hoping that DRRR gets a second season because of this, I guess it's unlikely though ^^

Well seeing that Adult Swim has shown basically the same exact lineup for the past decade it's good to see something new. I'll probably give it a rewatch to see how the dub is. If it's anything like Baccano's dub I'll enjoy it.

12:30 EST. that's when Kekkaishi's been on and this is replacing that so yeah

Meh, I really wish they'd replace Cowboy Bebop at some point. This is what, their 10th rerun of it straight?

I JUST finished watching this yesterday. And it's about time they take Cowboy Bebop off. It's a great series...but when it's overplayed it gets really annoying.

Anyways, at least a new anime is being put on. Cool.

My second attempt at a real sig.

What? Crispin Freeman (Shizuo) was amazing, probably the best part about the dub. He's perfect for the role, as usual. I also thought Kida was well done, but, oh well.

I'm quite excited! I haven't listened to the dub yet, but I probably won't like it. Not that I think that all dubs are bad, but... I love the Japanese cast so much.

I'm really excited though because hopefully Durarara will get more fans. Everyone I know who watches anime usually only watches the anime that airs on Adult Swim, none of which I've seen, so maybe this will give us something to fangirl/fanboy over together.

What "Adolescence" do you have?
Do you remember "Childhood"?

Only if they could air more animes like DRRR,instead of reruning Cowboy Bebop like ten times cause it's getting annoying =___=

*O* I thougth this'd never happen! Hideki Goto is right, this will go good on a network that aired Code Geass and Death Note xD
I dunno if I'll watch it though, I mean I already have it on DVD, and watching one ep per week for 26 eps is too slow for me ><
