| The production quality was somewhat sub-par for what I expected from Production I.G and especially how baseball player's motions are animated compared to A-1 Picture's Ookiku Furikabutte series. But I'm more interested in how Minami will apply Drucker's Management to her high school baseball team as the first episode was pretty much just the introduction part. Well, the good news is I can watch the second episode right away tomorrow. :D (Does anyone sense a Yuri triangle flag between Minami, Yuuki, and Ayano? :P ) |

| I like this show, I think it's gonna be good, drama and sports the underdog story the works! The BFF story is very sweet even a bit over the top with the sentimental music but oh well :P It's an NHK production so really not expecting big budget quality. I think the only other flaw really is this is taking its source material a little to much to heart. Reading full passages out of the book is making this feel like a 24 minute presentation of a book rather than a series with interesting characters. It isn't horribly jarring that it's ruining the experience but it's a bit over done. |

| I think I felt Bill Buckner cringe when that ball went through the player's legs. This should be interesting, anime is now trying to teach us how to be business saavy and still enjoy sports at the same time. I kind of feel like they might just throw a Coach K reference in their somewhere (probably not). |
| The pacing is relatively slow, and the animation quality is below the typical Production I.G. standard. Anyway, I still have high hope for this show as it posses a huge potential. I wish I could learn some good management strategies from this series! |
| I want to know what's up with that pitcher's attitude. The music is one of the better things I noticed, and the OP/ED are both nice as well. Watching this daily should be fun! *Looks up seiyuu for the coach* Tsuda, Kenjirou. I knew it was the guy who voiced Suzuki and Kazama. And I can't believe this is already getting a live action movie. o.O |

| Just wow... Really stunning start, as expected. Animation is nice, Minami is a good heroine, and the atmosphere is intimate as well. Can't say a bad word about it so far. |

| I think the reason for the scheduling is possibily to promote the live-action movie coming out in the summer, maybe? I do believe that after the first run is complete then it will do a second airing at the standard one episode per week schedule. |

| Pretty "dry" for a first episode, not to say boring, at times I felt they forgot the music and the baseball scene were draged out too long. Characters don't look very interesting for now. The management stuff could make this good enough. |
| Oh yeah the only thing that I don't like right now is probably music(by music I don't mean opening song or ending song but music in whole episode other than these songs)I hope they will do something about it. |

| I seem to like the first episode, especially because of the calm environments. This is just the type of anime I like to watch right after coming home a typical after midday. It riddens my anixiety. |
| Chara designs look alright to me. They're crisp in contrast to the painted/textured backgrounds, a difference I noted for this season's shows, at least so far in my watch list. The eyes' shapes look kinda weird at times but one can get accustomed to them as the show progresses. The soundtrack as some had pointed out offers little excitement to the game but since it's just first episode, I'll leave it for awhile in hope there will be improvements later. Hopefully, the analogy or rather the use of the book for business management by Minami in managing a baseball team will give us humors/laughs and excitements in watching the team play the game in strategic manner. |
| Well, like others have already stated, this was a really dry introduction to the series. Oh well, things can only get better from here I guess, so no harm in trying a couple more episodes. |

| I found it (against my expectations) unbelievably boring. There is no plot I am looking forward to (romance don't interest me) and the animation was...well..."not so good". I have still hopes since it was a bestseller, but I will definitely drop the series and wait for a translation of the novel. Hope someone will licence or translate it. |

| ....ya, i think i can sleep while watch this Anime.The Anime seem to fail to bring out the deep emotion of this best selling light Novel . Well, ...light Novel =/= Anime ...I don't expect any director can make this anime any better, since the original is a bit hard to adapt ...I like monologue in light novel but in Anime is a bit plain and boring...... |
| So watching anime thinking how they aré going to apply management theories to baseball and well a team aré a bunch of people pur together focused on an outcome so i guess you can use management theories to manage players. Well here is to management. Here here. Oh right can be yuri time naos!!!! Also that pitcher reminds me of the cubs pitcher Zambrano great pitcher but once one thing goes wrong he gets pissy. Anyways hope to learn abit more in management. |

Lol, I thought this would be something fun like Taishou Yakyuu Musume, but DAMN this was boring. It's probably easier for me to marathon all the episodes of Aria than to watch one more from this show. Dropped, of course. |
| For some reason this felt awkward... it didn't feel natural, but more like something that would be shown in school for teachers that are looking for a new way to introduce Drucker's management styles to their students. I wonder if the manga was a best seller because it was a great story, or because it was fun educational material and people were encouraged to buy it for school/work. Funnily enough, I found an article in The Economist that mentioned the manga in the context of business owners making their managers read it. I love baseball anime though, so I'll probably keep watching. |
