I was legit confused when something else entirely started instead of the first episode, though yeah, everything was part of it, in the end lol. Been over three years here as well, and though it felt like this season might never come out, at the end of the day, it has and I just want them to fucking only adapt the stuff which matters. The first season blew up, we all know, but yeah, that wasn’t just because Cloverworks did a splendid job, but yeah, the content covered was one of the biggest reasons too. Ain’t gonna happen this time though.

There’ll be so much here where absolutely nothing happens, so yeah that’s why I want them to skip over the stuff which can easily put anyone to sleep… I already had my share while reading, so don’t want it again. Btw, this guy literally calls the girl over to his house just so she could try bunny girl outfit lmaoo, and yeah of course, Gojo doesn’t even realize how that might’ve sounded to Marin. Point to be noted… he’ll not be able to realise for the next n episodes as well. Also bro, of course you gonna freak out watching a girl wearing a REAL BUNNY GIRL OUTFIT in front of you, better put sunglasses on next time.

Anyway, it’s looking as good as it did back in the first season.. visually. Nothing to fret over tbh. Standard start, but pls less of the stuff with those randos around.

Ya know, starting off with an Ikarashi avan of all things here was certainly a surprise. I ain't complaining because HOLY FUUUUUUCCCCCCCCUCK that looked amazing man, what the FUCK. Almost made me forget the fact that I'm watching... this, sadly. I have... feelings towards this series, most aren't positive, but as I said above, man does it look amazing.

Out of the three CW shows of the season, from the PVs alone I could tell this one was gonna look and move the best, and that starting scene told me all I needed to know to officially confirm that. As for content... yeah, just expect more of this for the rest of the season, is all I'll say. In that, little to no romance progression is made here, which is my gripe.

Will admit though, that whole bunny girl suit segment was pretty amusing lmao. It'll be pleasing at most, but there are certainly problems I'm gonna have with this season going forward. But for now it was a decent enough return that confirmed my suspicion of this being carried by the production values... and Marin's, y'know ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Gojou and Marin tried to make a bunny girl costume, planning to secure the back so that the costume Marin would wear wouldn’t easily slip off. Gojou went to a clothing store and handed over the sketch of the bunny girl costume he designed. The shopkeeper was surprised because he thought Gojou would be the one wearing the bunny costume.

Gojou received a lot of feedback from the senior shopkeeper, such as suggesting that it would be better to incorporate a corset for waist adjustment. Time and again, Gojou found himself involved in lucky-sukebe scenes. There were several issues when wearing the bunny girl costume, such as Marin not being able to wear pants or anything similar because, essentially, the bunny girl costume resembles a swimsuit.

Of course, the ideal setting for a bunny girl would be a casino. I was surprised they rented a nice studio. However, Karin managed to cleverly modify the lower part of the bunny girl costume by wearing stockings that looked like skin. As a photographer, Gojou-kun was involved in many lucky-sukebe scenes, lol.

The Halloween vibes were really strong; I loved how they created this atmosphere. I also liked how Gojou was cosplaying as a pink bunny.

Does anyone know the Instagram name of Marin Kitagawa in the anime? It appeared for a moment, but I hadn’t finished writing it down before the camera angle changed. The atmosphere was a bit awkward because what Gojou was doing was unusual, but they brushed it off, and the mood returned to normal.

Watching Marin teasing Gojo-kun with the Poki Game was honestly too cute. The way she was all playful, it was just such a fun vibe. Then, that date at the Cosplay Complex? Absolute gold! Marin, in that cosplay, and Gojo-kun trying to sneak in and out of the room like some kind of ninja—hilarious 🤣. The bunny girl outfit, though, with those adult-themed stockings? It was way too much for our Gojo-kun to handle, but that’s what makes it so fun 😂.

And then, just when you think things couldn’t get crazier, we’re hit with some cosplayer karaoke, and bam—Gojo-kun’s past shows up and makes him question his whole purpose. You can feel the tension, but also the growth. Classic Gojo.

Animation-wise, Cloverworks nailed it as usual. The colors, the movement, the little details... you can tell they put everything into it. I'm so ready for every Saturday to feel like this. Packed schedules, lots of laughs, and definitely some 🍀's work to make it all come together. Looks like we're in for an epic summer!

Mangaka Shinichi Fukuda's Sono Bisque Doll is back after 3.5 years, though the recent conclusion of the manga has got people sour.

Gotta admit, the cop with the game mechanics itself threw me in for a loop.

But in actuality, it's from a game's CM that both Gojo and Marin are watching, and the feels of remaking costumes that still evokes much of the interest of Gojo. The provocativeness of Marin, however, with the angles of her crotch, Gojo is really feeling the heat that something has to be done to cover her nether parts.

Even during the Halloween party of which Gojo dresses up as a rabbit and seeing her cosplay friends, there's definitely a lot to think about.

Off to a good start!

This animation makes me want to cry a bit, clover works working on three different anime and they're all romance and they can still make such good animation? That beginning scene was beautiful and I'm getting even more excited for the next anime coming out in half an hour, Fragrant Flower.

I missed this it's nice to see it back.
Tho is it just me are did the quality drop a bit?

Marin being herself was nice she is so clueless at times.
Wakana on the other hand doesn't know where to look at usual.
I wonder when he realises he might be feeling more for marin.
Seems Wakan is also accepted by the others.

Man I missed watching Marin in anime. Specially Hina Suguta's superb voice acting, absolute bliss. Love the combo so much. Could watch that pocky teasing scene all day and not get bored.

Bunny girl Marin's lewd.

We got some hilarious moments as well like that store guy thinking Gojou's the one who'll wear bunny costume.

It was nice watching them have fun as a group and unlike in his past nobody thinks light of Gojou's work and he can feel accepted. Btw girl had enough and straight up asked the real question.

Really glad to have this back. Cloverworks continue with their amazing adaptation. They are really animating top 3 of the season all by themselves and on the same night too, what a treat.

Not me thinking I clicked on the wrong show when the episode started with the Tsukiyono skit lol.

Was the animation always this good in this series? I know Cloverworks always bring tremendous quality, but my God the fluidity of the animation, the character designs, the direction.. even if I’m this series biggest hater I will always give credit where it’s due. This was an expertly done episode.

I’m always meh on the goonbait shit in this series so I won’t comment on any of that, if you like it knock yourself out, but I really liked seeing Gojo’s creative design process for Marin’s cosplay. All the details like boning, chest straps, etc just shows how much work goes into things that we don’t always appreciate. That’s the coolest part of this show for me, along with Gojo being a guy who defies gender roles and likes “girlie” things which is something I heavily relate with.

My fave part of the episode though was the ending. Shibuya Halloween is a massive event that happens everywhere btw, one of the coolest things Tokyo has. But the whole “how do you know to do that stuff, you’re a guy” scene was cool because no one judged Gojo for his interests, it was just a genuine question from Kensei and he was respectful about it. It’s sad that Gojo’s been bullied into thinking he needs to be ashamed of what he likes, though. There’s definitely a ton of male beauticians if you go it any major mall or salon.

I guess this season we’ll see more of Gojo’s past explored and what makes him.. him. I’ll go in with an open mind even if I don’t care for the series.

The timing for a bunny girl cosplay couldn't have been better, but in that kind of situation it gotta be crazy hard to lock in for a 15 year old Gojo, lol.

So nice to have this back, even tho I'm still bummed out because of the manga ending.

Aaaaaaaah I’m literally screaming in real life! I’m so hyped for this anime trio! So I’ll combine my reaction for all the first episodes of these three anime:

* *Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru Season 2*
* *Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku*
* *Seishun Buta Yarou wa Santa Claus no Yume wo Minai*

Believe it or not—today is my birthday (according to the Hijri calendar)! Could I have possibly received a better gift than this?

Marin may not be from my all-time favorite anime—but a whole new season of Marin? We missed her!

As for the second anime!! My friend at university wouldn’t shut up about it! He keeps saying it’s the best, and he even says I’m exactly like the main character—we’re super alike, apparently.

And *Bunny Senpai*... ahhh, it’s one of my top 10 anime ever! I never get tired of it—it’s beautiful. I missed Sakuta! I truly love this series!

I can’t hold back—I’m going to watch all three episodes right now! I literally can’t contain my excitement, it’s about to explode!

Oh boy, we’re finally back! I got so into this series from first season that I caught up to the manga and eventually finished it, but that won’t stop me from getting my hopes up for this, lol. Looks like the art style is a little more dynamic than it was before, I might need some time to get used to it, tbh. At least the ecchi aspects are still glorious.

Bunny outfits, that’s a W indeed. Marin-chan got it right on the mark, everyone loves bunnies, right? It ended up being a home date pretty much to everyone’s eyes except for the two ig, lol.

Shopkeeper’s delulu was hilarious for a while, nothing surprises me with Gen Z anymore either.

Gojo not getting over the skin-coloured tights was hilarious. I can’t get enough of the two’s interactions. Nowa-CHAN’s intrusive thoughts definitely burst out there but man, talk about perfect timing. My man was starting to go down the rabbit hole…

Halloween chapter included too, I hope we won’t just be speed running through the remaining chapters here.

Another Anime' in an Anime' to start with. LOL Seems almost familiar. Ah the classic Bunny girl.
They all just accepted Gojo as he is, which was good. But I would expect that of her friends, anyway.
Also, she is STILL going to kill this poor boy yet. Heart attack or stroke, either one. Or pure sugar overload. ROFLMAO

Marin was really to go to battle, when Gojo invited her. Those weren't daily life panties, those were let's go to battle ones.

For the most that Marin's cosplay was great, I really wanted to see more of that President Luna cosplay.

So that's why the 2nd season was released today. That Arisha cosplay remembers me a lot Sakurajima Mai.

The animation worries me, sure is fantastic, but will can it keep up the whole 12 episodes? Budget is budget, burn out happen.

Two out of the three Clover Works works.

Another one of my most anticipated animes this season and seeing Marin and Gojou back is great. Marin as always, teases Gojou again with the Pocky game. Not sure what I woudl've done in that situation actually. The whole bunny suit segment was great, just seeing Gojou not being able to focus on taking pictures was very, very relatable. uh. The Halloween party stuff was actually a really important part for Gojou. Him in that rabbit suit thing reminded me of Sakuta during Dreaming Girl actually, I swear they wore the same thing.

That was quite erratic but on brand with the energy of the first season of My Dress Up Darling, from the start right till Nowa asking about Gojo and Marin's situation lol. CloverWorks worked their magic here, this episode visually looks awesome from beginning till end. It is more My Dress Up Darling, which is very hit-miss for me in general content-wise (and this episode felt somewhat rushed for me), but at least it is produced with a lot of effort clearly.

CloverWorks went sicko mode on the animation for the entire fucking episode???

Rewatched season 1 recently, and although it looked better than I remembered, I don't remember it looking as good as this episode does. god damn.

For how much I love the manga, it can be a bit samey in terms of visuals, so having the anime go absolutely balls to the wall is such a welcome way of adapting it

What a brilliant reminder of why I look forward to Cloverworks productions!

This episode started off with so much personality. It's cute, charming, and just full of life. A lot of it comes from the romantic/sexual teasing, but also the intentional use of limited color palettes, the dialogue, the "camera" work... what a strong start.

The story itself as as interesting as season one, with its intense focus on a particularly intimate kind of craftsmanship. Very human. Very funny. The shop scene had me in stitches.

The shot with the door was also great. I imagine that came from a manga panel?

Not only we have a comeback but a major LEVEL UP also. In every way this episode was an absolute banger. Also I sense that with this pacing we could get close to the ending of the series in this same season. It was really clever how they'd patched different chapters from the manga. I loved that.

I was a great fan of the first series - I thought it was good, but it's grown on me in the mean time and especially now since I rewatched it last week in anticipation of S2. But having seen the first episode, there's something that just doesn't feel right. It's like they've got so much more budget now but instead of putting that into the story and the planning, they splurged it on the animation. So it's all very pretty, but for me it just doesn't have the spark (or whatever it is) that S1 had. Definitely going to keep watching it though.

That scene where Gojo almost had a breakdown until Shiki interjected was great. I loved how they visualized that inner conflict within himself with the darkness and the sound as if he was outside their room, and then with the light shining upon him as if the door to the room was finally opening and him hearing the music clearly. Good to see Gojo is taking those small steps to develop confidence in himself.

Arisha matches Marin's personality rather well, plus obligatory bunny girl outfit.

I am not so sure about the "eternal" factor.

"My bad, my bad."
Your good, your good.

Well, learning about hubris at that age and in that context is certainly better than doing it while your kingdom is obliterated around you. You are ahead of the game, Gojo.

I would prefer the "actual skin" myself. I was never a fan of panty hose. Stockings, with or without garters for the win.

"I'm gonna lose my mind." Gojo beat you to the mindbreak.

Looks like CloverWorks really pulled out all the stops for this season, because even though MDD always had great production values, everything from the animation and framing to the direction and background art was a step up from the previous episodes, so much so that even if other episodes had better story content in them, I think I might have had the most fun in this episode out of all others in the series.

And that is not to say I didn't like the actual story content in the episode either. The in-universe show TsuCom was the most interesting one till date and the one I would actually love to check out if it existed. I loved the Gojo-Marin scenes even more than usual with the additional bounce and finesse in their character animation. And I really loved how they portrayed Gojo's insecurities at the end of the episode and how he realizes that maybe the only ones who thought he was creepy were Non chan all those years ago and himself.

Honestly, I just hope that CloverWorks can keep up this level of artistry for the entire season because every time they try to do 3 shows in a season, at least one of them completely collapses. Let's hope third times the charm. If it works out this time, this season of MDD might be one of my all time fav romcoms.
