Super evil entrance. I've still got the chills inside my room. 🥶 Gear 5 Luffy finally K.O.'s Kizaru and sends him flying down the building! Bonney attacks Saturn and stabs him with a sword. How is their group going to escape now away from Saturn?? So cold! 🥶 |

| Goated. Cinema. Peak fiction. God I've waited so long to see this part animated and they did it justice. What a truly terrifying entrance. The Luffy vs Kizaru portion of the episode was great too. Fuck the complaints I saw this past week on Shitter about how Toei is "overanimating" One Piece. I do NOT care, keep giving me more of this, Toei. Remember how dogshit pre-Wano One Piece used to look? So yeah, I'll take "overanimated" any day of the week. |

| peak fucking piece. they did saturn so right, his entrance was cinema. dude was aura farming the whole episode with minimal activity. really felt for bonney the whole episode though, and then she hit her breaking point at the end. even the fodders were looking so good this episode. this director is definitely one of the best. don't mind the recap next week because we got pure cinema 2 weeks in a row. |

| Yo, I can't get enough of G5 Luffy's laugh, I swear. I feel like I'm addicted to it at this point. If there was a notification or a ringtone for his laugh, I would've put one of them on my phone, haha. His laugh aside though, there is something that confuses me. So, One Piece is currently supposedly in its final arc, yet Luffy is struggling this much against a mere admiral. Don't get me wrong, I don't mean that admirals are weak by any means, it's just that there are still the Five Elders and Imu above them. If after all this time, Luffy is only able to go toe-to-toe with an admiral, how will this anime ever end, when even the protagonist still isn't close to the major antagonist's power? Luffy aside though, the way Sanji kept protecting Bonney throughout the whole episode was very adorable. The way he saved her from Bluegrass's beam and the way he cushioned her fall from the Vegatank's crash were both really sweet. Speaking of Bonney, I'm loving her more & more with every new episode. If she were actually an adult woman acting impulsively every single time, I think I would’ve hated her. But the thing about Bonney is that she's actually a child growing herself using her fruit, so she can't help but think and act like a child. That's what makes it so cool. Anyone who sees her might be bothered by how often she puts herself in harm’s way and needs others to protect her because of how impulsively she acts. But the unique and cool thing is that she's actually a child, so she can't help but think and act this way, haha. Bonney aside, I think this is actually the 2nd time we’ve seen an Elder's power, aside from the first time versus Sabo. We've already seen that black goo form, but I never knew they had the ability to both go gigantic and teleport. Their powers never fail to amaze me. Most of all, I was really surprised by how Saturn looked when he was gigantic. Not just because of his size, but the way he had a cloud surrounding his massive body, almost as if he were a Zoan. It was really weird and confusing, but I mean, it's One Piece and it’s an Elder, so I guess we can't help but be curious about the mysterious unknown, haha. The Elders aside, the cliffhanger was illegal. I was so surprised by how Bonney actually managed to hurt Saturn, with actual red blood spilling from his injury. I mean, I’m glad they still bleed red like the rest of us, but what was really confusing is that I couldn't tell if Bonney actually hurt Saturn or if he allowed himself to get hurt. Because he spilled red blood, it makes you think she actually managed to hurt him. But then you see him with no reaction at all, which makes you doubt whether she really did, you know? The cliffhanger aside, I still can't believe Zoro and Lucci are still fighting, haha. I read somewhere that the manga version of their fight was literally just a few panels, yet here it seems like they can’t stop stretching things out, haha. Not that I’m complaining—the fight’s really cool. I’m just surprised Zoro is still having such a hard time against Lucci when he should actually be able to defeat him more easily, not face this much difficulty. But it’s One Piece, so I guess it can't be helped to stretch it out a bit, haha. |
| Zoro didn’t use his third sword in the manga but the fight was still incredible. Glad the episode's getting a good response as well, some Sanji fans went overboard with the Toei hate recently for similar things. Sound design has room to improve but Toei’s still on a roll. Bonney’s sequence was brilliant and easily a standout. Saturn had a great entrance. |
