So the Straw Hats have two options, to go up or down. To attack yet another government base or go into the world of the fishies. It seems the option has been picked and there's no way Luffy would choose to go to the city over fishman island and there's no way they're leaving the sunny so going to fishman island is practically confirmed even if things go horribly wrong here. Still, it's a fun idea! It's time to get ready to do the opposite of Skypiea and go down into the sea. One possibility I can think of is if a fight is started with the World Nobles then maybe the Straw Hats will take a temporary attack to Mariejois.
And on the way to Fishman island we saw the Sabaody Archipelago! It's not exactly an island but it's probably my favorite one anyways. Water 7 was awesome and all, Skypiea was super cool, but this one is so fun, fantastical, and pretty. I love the idea of giant trees growing out of the ocean and forming makeshift islands.
I can't imagine it's going to be as simple as get the coating and leave. Instead, I'm sure those World Nobles will cause some trouble. At first I assumed Camie couldn't go on a ferris wheel because a mermaid cannot go that high in the air to contrast how humans cannot go that low into the sea. Yet, it seems perhaps it's actually because these World Nobles have some corrupt order of power here. They can kill and everyone else HAS to pretend they didn't even see it. I wonder if the amusement park is all for them.
The tone really changed when Hachi brought them up. I don't think we've ever seen him that serious...
I'm surprised Camie hadn't asked Hachi what he did that was so bad, and later Brook even judged him as a good octopus. I did like the scene where Nami accepted his cooking. Even if she's not fully "forgiving him" for what he's done, she has accepted him for the time being and accepted his help and cooking. She's such a strong willed person. I really love Nami.
I wonder if Robin wiping that sticky resin all over Usopp is a sign of her growing even closer with the crew. She wouldn't do that to someone she didn't feel close with would she? That said, Robin is the Straw Hat I still feel I know the least about. There's still times where she will act in a certain way and I can't quite read why she did it. I'm excited to get to know her better as time goes on.
Anyways, the big thing is how the crew will react if they stumble upon cruel injustice. I imagine Luffy won't be able to hold it in and will challenge these World Nobles and that they'll end up freeing the islands from them in some way. That said, Hachi really didn't want them to do anything at all to them and he's actually scared of the Straw Hats strength. Perhaps if one person fights back they punish everyone? I really wonder what gives them that power... They come from the holy land Mariejois and that seems to be heavily connected with the world government and maybe even a base? I seem to recall seeing Kuma and Garp interacting with Sengoku up there sitting in the clouds and that there was talk about the Straw Hats coming their way. I bet they don't expect them to make it to Fishman island. Either way there's a lot of intrigue set up and a lot that could go wrong.

I didn't think of it like that... At least an octopus fishman isn't the same as an octopus. They are far more intelligent and capable. I suppose fishmen very well may eat fish! Interesting thought. |
