| Seems like one couple is doing well even if the grandparents interfered at the wrong moment. The train part was nice i also liked the part in the snow. The Kie truck part i just wonder what type of engine is in that car since it's usually a 650cc engine. Also that truck should be front wheel drive which isn't the best for drifting. |
| It's Halloween time. One day, Mino tells Shouzou and Ine about a day called Halloween, where you dress up and go trick-or-treating. This piques their interest, and they decide to get costumes. When Halloween arrives, Mino and Shouta go to pick up Shouzou and Ine. To their horror, their costumes are too scary for Mino, and she passes out. I expected us to get a full Halloween episode by the way they started it; I didn't expect a fast and furious chase tho lol. Anyways, I'm glad to see we're getting some more Mino and Shouta development, still thanks to Shouzou and Ine, even if it is the past versions of them. Gotta say tho, past Ine is freaky as hell, LMAOOO. But she's sweet too, raising the spirits of Mr. Conductor. Only one more episode left of this sweetnees, unfortunately. |

| It's Halloween, and both Shouzou and Ine really pulled all the stops...for a Japanese-ish Hallowenn, scaring Mino enough. Small and agile Kei trucks like the Saitous are a nuisance to some people, such as with some bastards driving around and throwing cigarettes around the apple orchard, and I thought that I was watching an actual demonized version of Initial D around the orchard lols, they even got the entire fictional setting of it here, giving the truck a rather modified turbo engine. What a nightmare for the guys... Hunting with air guns, and Shouzou is popular with the elderly ladies as per usual to have an old woman brigade. Impressive. Also, both Mino and Shouta seeking shelter at the same jinja as both Shouzou and Ine in their younger days, is the couple prophecy coming to life for the next generation lols. But having to witness an outrageous scene of love for both kids, it's just curiosity for the daughter that becomes too awkward between them both. Still, Mino being assertive and making the first move...while Shouzou and Ine are trying to spy on them for any lewd activity...too bad they got found out. Old folks like the train engineer are in need, more for preservation. And within a blizzard, the Saitous paved the way knowing the treacherous snow to help people reach the town, it's a feel-good moment there. It's truly the daily lives of Shouzou and Ine, living to their very best. |

| The initial D parody was hilarious I would love to see Grandpa and Takumi battle on the Akina downhill. Can't believe it's the last episode next week this show has been so good I really hope we get a second season. |

Finally, Initial G. When the weather gets so freaky you start seeing holograms from the past. Also, funny how Mino went from protecting Shoto's innocence from the spicy "VR flashback" to almost taking the initiative in the bedroom. |
| Hmm... I was expecting this episode to get us close to conclusion (albeit sad one), but it seems like the last episode will also be about random stuff? I know the source material is not over too, but I honestly wouldn't be against anime-original ending. This will likely not get S2, at least for several years! |
| No way there’s only one episode left! Fuckkk man how did this season go by so fast That kei truck segment for the first 10 minutes was definitely one of the scenes of all time lmao. Who’d have thought we’d get an initial d reference here! Grandma looked great in her Halloween costume and I always love seeing a Japanese take on the holiday. In perfect fitting with that, we got a spooky ghosts of grandma and grandpa past that Mino and Shouta ran into at the Jinja. If seeing grandma and grandpa fight against their families for the right to be together doesn’t motivate them to get together, nothing will. Granny and gramps were kinda freaky back in the day ain’t it? A jinja is a wild spot to get loose lmao Poor Shouta traumatised by what he saw 😂 hopefully we get a confession next week. Almost had one today if granny and gramps didn’t cockblock their own granddaughter. Mad respect to grandma for admitting today’s kids have it better and that society is better now. A lot of times old heads will be bitter and talk about wanting to go back to their day. But she really appreciates how much freedom her granddaughter has to live her life as she sees fit. Last episode next week gonna feel so empty without this 💔 |

| Halloween baby! Love when anime give focus to my favorite holiday, it seems to be forgotten quite often so I’m happy to see this sweet show had at least a short Halloween bit, Mino thought she had her grandparents beat but she wasn’t ready for true horror, Ine played her role a little too well lol. And I figured the drifting grandpa bit was an Initial D reference, that was a lot of fun, and it actually kinda went perfectly with the opening Halloween bit because of the ghost truck thing, it really reminded me of movies like Joy Ride and Jeepers Creepers, sometimes it just takes a scary truck lol. And wow, I wasn’t expecting Mino and Shouta to stumble upon that spicy past scene of Ine and Shouzou getting down and dirty at a jinja of all places lol, that’s one of those reminders that even your grandparents used to be wild. And this ended up getting Mino in a certain mood later, it almost happened but Mino wised up to her grandparents snooping and unfortunately things ended there, oh well, it was a great moment anyway. There were some other good short bits in this one too, I liked the train one a lot, Ine went and blessed another person in her town with old ladies like she did earlier in the season lol, and Shouzou helping out those old ladies with shooting practice was both wholesome and metal, some badass grandmas right there. And that final bit with a hot and sweaty Ine was quite the nice ending to this episode, Shouzou wasn’t ready lol. And I can’t believe we’re already down to one more episode, the boys at Gekkou killed it once again, I’m excited to see how this ends, I’m hoping based on that preview that it won’t be a sad ending with an ongoing source and all. |

| Man love the shouta x mino moment, the ship almost sailed, just got c…blocked by your grandparents though That initial D reference was funny. Geez they made some crazy modifications on that kei truck. 1 more episode to go, im not ready for this :’( From what i hear the manga is still ongoing so hopefully they wont go with an anime original ending. But whatever they decide its been a great watch |
| Shouzou is a fan of Initial D and Fast & Furious. He's a demon behind the wheel, but when it comes to helping in a snowstorm, he's an angel. Mino saw how his grandparents made his father, haha. There's only one episode left and many of us aren't ready. I'm going to start crying now to avoid doing something stupid. I hope they don't give it a sad ending. |

| The grandmas are actually more skilled than your average shooter, since they have real motivation to keep pests away from their crops! And grandma trying to publicize the station, to give the elderly engineer a purposes is just so awww. Grandma telling Grandpa "I'm going to make the first move" so she can get him before the arranged fiancee, oh ... so hot. Damn, what is this show doing to me? |

| I think what this episode tried to tell us is that to get the blessings from the Gods you literally need to have sex in their temples lol This show has had a lot of great episodes, but this may be the best one? The fact the young couple can see, and even hear, past memories of the grandparents is really weird and random tho. |

| Lol the kei truck drifting was fun Still feels weird to see so much Halloween show up these days in anime. It really must be weirder for people in Japan for a whole new to them holiday to come in. Shota and Mino so closeee....yet so far It's nice how Ine does random kind things for people upset about changing times. Before it was the woman selling traditional confections and now the train engineer. Damn only one more episode to go. |

| The didn't even go out in their costumes??? G-pa is a drifting god. Lol Mino almost confessed her feelings but heard her grandparents outside. Its funny that the temple gods showed Mino and shark boy what happened with her grandparents. It was sweet of Ine to tell Mino to do things freely since she has the opportunity to do so. One minute it was Halloween, a few minutes later its winter? Then New Years? One more episode to go :( sad its going to be over |

| "Wh-What?! He's drifting in a pick-up truck?!" I can imagine the staff & VAs having much fun with this parody scene during recording Thank you for the "Initial G" comments above, it really made me laugh 😂 I was already surprised with the mirage-like image of young!grandpa & grandma but got even more surprised with the moment it showed haha. Thinking how amazing their relationship bloomed from Ine being cold towards Shozo when they met, to Ine initiating to move because she cannot accept Shozo ending up with anyone else. Mino had to cover Shouta's eyes to protect him and to preserve her grandparents' dignity lol "This town is still alive." Ine again trying to help something liven up a little more, this time for the train. The passage of time inevitably leaves behind things that cannot keep up with it. Some get replaced like the train with cars. But appreciating it while it is still there is a thoughtful, thankful thing. |
