| Have you ever been blocked by someone for having a different opinion from their's or other dumb reasons? My block count right now is 2 In both cases i was debating anime with them, and well, when an opinion they didn't like came up, mysteriously i wasn't able to comment on their profiles anymore ??? The first time round the debate was about Berserk, to be fair this person had stated in their profile about not wanting to interact with people who liked Berserk ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (though i gave more of a neutral opinion since i hadn't watched the series yet) but we still interact well in the forums and although the debate ended in a block up to that point it remained a civilized discussion Now the second time i got blocked by someone for disagreeing with them is when all hell broke lose This time round the discussion revolved around Hunter x Hunter, well at the mear sight of a differing opinion and a critique on the lines of "fair enough if you didn't like the series, but if you watched x episodes stick to judging those episodes not the rest of the show you haven't watched" all civility went down the toilet replaced by insult after insult after insult, untill i guess they got bored and blocked me I'm never the one who stops troll arguments, i'm terrible when it come to ignoring them, i don't know how to keep my fucking mouth shut 😂 Anyways, if you have any funny stories about getting blocked for the dumbest reasons please share below :) |

| On Facebook, about 60% of my high school class blocked me when i said i was gonna vote for Donald Trump. Good riddance. The others mostly argued with me and called me racist or something, so i'd debate them and the second i out-argued them, i was blocked. |

| I blocked a MAL user on discord after she went on an ableist tyrade about how Autistic people can't work as detectives or in police jobs and then started calling me out as "Gaslighting her" when i pointed out that not only is that wrong it's ableist and then argued against her with her saying i'm autistic i can't think like a normal person or feel empathy etc because i'm not "normal" along with other stuff like Autistic people can't read body language or become good at it (yes they can there is a deficit but that can be learnt wtf). I blocked them because holy shit that's not only incorrect on every point but also toxic as shit. But my favourite quote would be in reply to my comment of "and even then body language reading can be learnt" to which i got "It can’t entirely be learnt. Second nature always has the upper hand The only thing that can be learnt is what a guy with a piece of paper knows himself" which completely ignores how a lot of children learn body language LMAO Does that count as blocking someone for having a different opinion. Edit: Another funny qoute from this person when they found out my highschool back in the days ended at 3pm "3pm is literally proof of lack of education." |

| No but I made a guy (Can't remember his name but it was some brit guy) completely leave MAL forums after shutting him down on a Death Note discussion. I remember him posting some bullshit about not wanting to engage in the forums shortly after I shut him down in his "About me" section so I can only think that it was in response to him getting owned so hard by me. To whoever you are because I can't remember your name, Might makes right. Who’s gonna stop me from using the Death Note however I want as long as I am careful and not generate a pattern for the cause of death. |

They even took it to another level by rating all of my favorite anime/manga as 1s. Without watching them. |

And the only time they could possibly be described as annoying is when they are distracting distracting you from work with their cuteness, which sounds like a good thing to me! The hate you and all those reddit mods have against cats is simply because cats don't love you back! But if you show them affection and attention and comb their fur and clean their litter box they'll come around to love you in time. You just have to give them some time! |

Blocked. Reciprocated their bantering? Blocked. We were in art class, the term was based on Picasso. They mention something (I don't remember if it was a specific painting or an art technique or sumn) and I said 'I don't think that's Picasso', I log onto Instagram after school to see 'Don't talk to me,' in my DMs and, surprise surprise, blocked. |

| And my block count is now up to 3 😁 This time round the story goes like this: In a discussion about dubs and subs i mention wanting to watch the sub of a series because, in my personal opinion, the good dubs are few and far between In the thread there's about an even amount of people who like me prefere the sub and others who don't mind the dub, maybe majority leaning a bit more towards sub, fair enough, there was no war of sub vs dub going on, maybe a couple of sarcastic comments here and there, but nothing to justify calling the chill discussion a screaming fest Then one particular user comes out and tags me and some other sub fans to call our comments immature and claim we're ridiculing dubs I read the comment, which is not exactly written in a tamed manner, and i'm like "dude, when the fuck did i ridicule or insult dubs??" So naturally, if you tag me giving me a notification you want to interact with me, i'm gonna damn well interact with you if i got something to say, i decide to answer dude in the comment section, where i'm met with the about me section saying (i'm paraphrasing a little) "insulting and discrediting people for having a different opinion than yours means you have nothing valid to contribute", to which i burst out laughing histerically... 'cause dude, that is exactly what you were doing in the thread you tagged me in 🤣🤣 Pointing out people's hypocricy is just too damn tempting, so i leave a comment of the type "funny how you say this in your profile... but then comment this when in disagreement with others" Of course dude comes back to me with more insults, and on top of that "BLOCK BLOCK BLOCK REEEEEEEEEEEE!!!" for having a different opinion, really lives up to their about me section, am i right? |
