| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Funimation had a special world premiere today of the first episode. This was a strange start imo. Sure, they introduced some of the cast including memorable fighters like Karen and Fubuki. Protagonist Yuito didin't impress me much yet but I'm sure there's plenty of time to develop his character. Kasane's character debut is almost like the opposite of Yuito's with that cold personality of hers. However, it seems she is very protective of her sister. The monster designs rather distinctive I guess. Yup, pretty much just an introductory episode that threw in a lot of the cast together. This anime needs to prove itself with its storytelling. It may some potential. The game also comes out pretty soon... |

| it wasnt good but it was fine. also the moment when they mentioned that the others eat brains and there is that 1 commander called 'brain eater' who wants to destroy the country, i have seen enough anime to know where this is going. also i dint really get how the MC has low psy powers, they looked just as normal as the rest. also i kept seeing 'Kasane' on the subtitles but i kept hearing 'Kasame', is it just me? |

| Lol this is what Ex-Arm should have been. I'm already planning on playing the game when it releases, but I had no idea that there is an anime as well. It's an okay 1st episode, so I'll stick around. |

| Well, it was a nice start. Good action scenes and animation. Those monsters gave me immediately Madoka Magica vibes. I like the character designs. |

| Interesting. Story seems cool, powers are cool, characters are interesting. Monster designs were trash to say the least but my biggest concern was the CGI. Really hoping they only use CGI rarely for hard to animate monsters. If the MC gets CGI treatment I'll have to drop it. Only time will tell. |

It's the same reason that you see "senpai" and "sempai" alternately in subtitles: the "ん" sound is indeterminate between "n" and "m" in Japanese. That's not correct really in this case. For ん (like in senpai) that is true, but her name is Kasane (カサネ) not Kasame. Ne and Me are separate sounds in Japanese. |

| Really wouldn't have think twice if this was a Sunrise project, but yeah. Those monster designs remind me too much of Gibiate rather than Ex-Arm with the CGI though. The characters themselves are painfully generic as per game adaptations, though the character designs are nice. Scarlet Guardians with psionic powers, you have a lot to prove with a standalone story and plot. But if this early pre-screening premiere episode's anything to go by, it sure didn't warrant me to get the game that's launching soon right alongside the anime adaptation for promotional purposes. One thing's for sure: THE ORAL CIGARETTES are back with another great song! |

| very average, doesnt look like itll imrpove far from that too but its still the first ep so ill give it a chance. would've been nice if they explained some stuff since they can just pull shit out of their ass if not but eh. mc from a well known family with a lot of pressure and expectation on him, fl that got adopted also probably related to the mc's "saviour" already lots of stuff we can already predict from here, dont expect much but hope its not too bad |
| Not bad i guess, this is pretty generic story line and characters . A not strong mc and another girl that stronger than him and the person from the past that save him might connected to that girl. I think i know what's freakin happening here. |

| I'll get straight to the point, this was not good. The story was extremely generic, with cliche plot and cliche lines, not to mention there is very little explanation on world setting. Casting Enoki as the main MC feels like lazy casting as well. World design looks like an Akudama Drive rip-off and despite it being a Sunrise production, the animation looks mediocre, which makes the CG stand out of place even more. Honestly, the highlight was the OP by the Oral Cigarettes. I'll keep watching for now, but I don't see myself finishing this one. |

| Well, we got the typical MC that got saved back in the days and is trying to find the person that saved him. Wel following up with that, he finds the person that saved him in the first EP. And they already showed us the villian working behind the shadows. The designs when they transform is fucking cool imo, animation is decent, opening is A M A Z I N G! Okay 1EP. |

| I'm playing the game right now, a couple hours into Kasane's story so I guess I may stall the show if it catches upto where I'm currently at in the game. For the episode itself, it was alright. Somehow, I feel the game has superior presentation all round. I suppose it's much easier to get into the world and setting when you're running around in it. The anime feels much too fast paced in contrast which doesn't help it too much. Sounds like there are subtle difference with the way the events played out this episode but what happened was kinda the same so they will very likely just adapt the game's story. I love Kasane's design. xD |

| Well so I am playing the game so I must say that I really don't like how they presented the things here, the game version is way superior. The design of the characters feels great in the game but somehow I feel like doesn't fit here. And when it comes to history I felt that it was rushed and had a lot of focus on Yuito while leaving Kasane, Naomi, and Kyoka's squad behind. I hope this gets better cuz so far I really like the game. |
