| Instagram is *the* place for cringe anime content. I scrolled through the HxH content there (my favourite anime) and i ended up feeling really sad that such a great show could produce fans like that. Reddit’s not bad, and neither is MAL. |

How is sending people death threats or harassing children not cringe (SW fandom), how is obsessing and fetishizing Asian men not cringe (K-Pop). How is obsessing over teenage boys and their physical ability or cheering to see them get injured not cringed (pretty much anyone who has been into pro sports). Or using YA lit to base your political discourse how is that not cringe. You eventually learn that all media consumption hobbies are cringe. If you don't want to be cringe don't participate in any fandoms pretty simple. All of that seems way worse than low effort posting that you described. |

That is also why so many people try to relate to the mc and they feel bad when the characters are weak or if one of the girls isn't interested in him... also why rape and nrt triggers them so much.
