| Oh no! This could've looked so stylish, it's a shame that they're going the CGI route. I wasn't able to watch the pv, but I hope it'll maybe be like the first season of Kemono Friends and have the charm of the source material make up for what it lacks in visuals. EDIT: Nevermind, I'm dumb and realized I could watch it on Youtube. I'll still watch it, but yeah I wish it wasn't CGI. |

| Honestly I kind of like the style. Probably one of the few that does but it gives it a comfy vibe. I guess for me it feels charming. Like a passion project. Clearly not a ton of money involved, but something they really wanted to do. |

It really doesn't look all that bad. In fact, I would say it looks pretty cute. The shading is not nearly as bad as it is with most 3D anime It almost looks 2D with it's stylization |

Maybe its gonna be one of these shows where animation is that great, but at least had a good story and character that kept me watching. And also at least look better than that CG show this season. | Aesthetically, the CG doesn’t look bad, but what little animation we got looked stiff. There were lots of stills during the PV too, which is a bit concerning. BG art looks nice though. I don’t have a problem with CG (for example, stuff like Into the Spider-verse and/or Connected can show you how impressive and unique CG can be), my problem is why use it for a series like this?... The simplicity of its character designs should have made this an easily series to animate in 2D. Anyhow, I'm still planning on watching it since I like the manga. |

| The hand drawn anime effects of the CGI model look really good, but the movement is just awful, the the realistic bg really stands out in contrast to the model. Looks really weird. | New PV looks really cute. Honestly, it looks like a small team of people making the animation. Doesn't seem to have a ton of budget or anything but stylistically it looks different than the majority of other anime coming out. Looks experimental honestly. I kind of like it too. |

I just looked at Ex-Arm and the animation looks about 3x better than the first few episodes of Kingdom S1 (it gets better by the end). The issue with Kingdom is that the story is exceptional so to have such terrible animation is a pity. Can the same be said about Ex-Arm manga? idk, haven't read it. I also haven't read Maiko-san but it does look like interesting. |
