| because in anime, girls usually wear miniskirts. that sort of apparel makes it easier to get a glimpse of the girl's panties, which can give off a lot of exposure. it is less common for guys to have their "ass/crotch" area sexualized as much as girls... boxers are pretty baggy and don't expose anything too much, I would probably think the bulge area would sort of be more sexualized, but boxers don't really give off an opportunity for that. Boxer briefs are better for that sort of stuff. It's pretty rare for media to sexualize it yet. Maybe those underwear ads, e.g. david beckham |
