| Ok guys since this anime is probably gonna end in a few months I want you guys to try to guess where this will end in the top anime rankings once the 1/5th rule starts. |
| I don't see it breaking past rank 10. The 1/5 rule really isn't going to help it much. |

| HxH has a lot of active haters and not enough sheer numbers of fanbase to give it the unconditional 10s like bigger series. Ending it where the hiatus was will probably drop it to... 30-60. |

| Gotta hope for at least the Top 10. I believe the story has still a few high notes that might get people surprised enough to enhance the rating. That said, a Top 5 would be cool (and deserved). |

Even in the forums, the anime is barely mentionned in the Overrated/Underrated thread. It can probably reach top 10, but it will be hard to maintain itself there. |

Haters are more subtle than that Well maybe not "haters" per se, but a lot of people hold it up to standards much higher than regular shonens. At any rate, just wait till it ends, and see how it drops like SnK. Maybe not as fast as JoJo though. |

| I don't know, I don't give much thought to ratings on this site at all. HxH is my favorite shounen by far and one of my favorite anime. That's good enough for me. |

I think the end of the election arc would be a good way to end the series. (I thought it was the end until ch. 340 came out.) Many good series have shitty endings, but the end of the election arc is very good. I agree with jreginald. There's a feeling of closure, and there's a feeling of moving on. How is that not a good ending? .... Don't answer that. |
| If that is a spoiler, I'm not opening it. All I'm saying is the election arc may have a good ending but they may have something after to basically show people that it's still going to continue. So the ending won't feel as closed. |

| It's already ranked #13 and the score is still rising, despite the fact that every vote counts. This anime will be in the top 10 when it finishes airing. |
| Slow start (people who only watched the first few episodes would probably give it a low rating), 1/5 rule, >100 episodes and the fact that it's already ranked 13 and still rising.... I'm pretty sure it'll be ranked 1 once it ends, at least for a while. |

The arc is relatively short (roughly same as the hunter exam or maybe even less?) thus the reason why we are guessing the end of the anime in a few months since Chimera Ant arc ends in a few episodes |
| mhmm that's one prediction i guess, but as you said theres more manga material to come so maybe they could let the anime go on hiatus while the plot in the manga develops or create fillers (yes, i hate fillers too but done right, they could be interesting like naruto's recent ones)... |

One of the things that makes this such a fantastic adaptation is that there is a distinct lack of filler. That won't be the case if the anime is continued. |

Just because the manga restarted does not mean there will be enough source material. Why do you think Naruto and Bleach have so many fillers? It's because anime adapts manga faster than manga comes out. Anime usually adapt about 2-4 chapters each episode while Togashi will be bringing out 1 chapter a week. It won't take long before they catch up. In addition, it would make no sense for Madhouse to produce fillers when they can just end the series and just produce another season when there is enough source material. I personally do not want them to make fillers. With the two movies that we got, it's pretty apparent any filler material Madhouse produces would not be on par with the actual series. I would prefer the anime to end and continue later than have to see more mediocre material. |

| If it ended after the CA arc I'd say it'll go to #1 or at least #2 but since lots of people will probably hate I loved the Election arc though. |

I loved the Election arc though. I haven't read the manga, but before reading your post, I was about to write a similar comment. I saw a handful of posts with haters for this story arc before it really got going. It probably took at least 10 episodes or so for me to really get my impression of this story arc back up to a 9/10 rating (now 10/10). That being said, with the overall rank I've given Hunter in the past, If the anime ends when this story arc is over, If it's wrapped up with some ongoing depic development of Gon's character, I think hunter could have a chance to overtake some of the movies standing in it's way to make the top 10 for awhile. If the anime continues past this story arc, I have no doubts about making the top 10. It's hard to predict with the way MAL's ranking works. |
