I like some of the contemporaries like Ludovico Einaudi or Max Richter. I also like guitarists like Albeniz, Segovia, Gaspar Sanz, John Williams... I generally love all kind of classical musics, but world, minimalist and Mozart.

Yes...and also with the modern variations/interpretations done by today's artist such as Bond, Sarah Brightman, Katherine Jenkins, Vanessa Mae, etc.

My largest collection of mp3s are classical with the exception of anime, which is bigger (^_^).

Romantic violin concerti are my favs: Barber, Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Brahms, Bruch, etc etc.

Of course, listening to live performances of the entire classical music repertoire is a much greater experience than listening to a recording.

I'm not a huge fan of classical, but I do enjoy certain pieces. Chopin is definitely my favourite composer but I'm probably biased since piano is my main instrument xD When I was preparing for my grade 10 piano exam, his Nocturne in F-sharp Major was my favourite piece to play. Other Chopin favourites include his Polonaise in A, Minute Waltz in D-flat, Nocturne Op.9 No.2, and Waltz in E minor.

Debussy's Arabesque No. 1 is also a big favourite, as are a few of Beethoven's piano sonatas (notably the Moonlight, Pathetique, and Waldstein) and Schubert's Impromptu in E-flat Major. La Campanella and Flight of the Bumblebee are also lots of fun to listen to when someone can play them right xD

Least favourites: Fur Elise and Canon in D because they're WAY overplayed D:

His love and affairs are the only thing I like about him, the Top 1 of his century music table, filled with ballads and stuff like that.

Really. I thought that when I could play a Fugue I'd like him. I didn't. Then I thought that when I could play a Suite I'd like him. I still didn't. It's really impossible to have any satisfaction playing any of his musics, it's pain and pain and then poof, it was actually easy.

My favorites are Chopin and Dvořák. I really dislike Wagner, I find most of his compositions boring. Ride of the Valkyries had two or three good riffs (LOLOLOL) but that's it. Other notables would be Bach (mostly his cello compositions, can't remember the names), Grieg (who I call Kriegggggg) and Tchaikovsky.

Hate him? How could you. This is why I envy him. Personal superhero.

And as far as classical, when I killed my MP3 adapter I just left the classical station on in my car. I need nothing specific, strings are just relaxing. However, I do go out of way to listen to some contemporary classical artists, Danny Elfman comes to mind. His movie soundtracks are fine, but his personal stuff's really very cool. Dunno how I found it.

It's interesting how everybody flips out about Adolf Hitler, but nobody much notices Wagner.
Wagner was every bit as right wing as Hitler. And interesting enough, Hitler was also a big fan of Wagner.

And yet, if I listen to Wagner, nobody suspects me of being a fascist.
But if someone finds out someone listens to say, Neofolk, RAC, or NSBM music, it's all like "omg r u nazi?".

Heh.

Also, Mozart is good. You can't really go wrong with classical music; it's generally all good.

Well....carousel music is pretty raunchy, and that is usually classical. At our mall anyways. I think there's orchestras that just make bad, tacky music, even for the classical genre.
However, another nice string quartet is Vitamin String Quartet, they've done hundreds of string adaptations of all kinds of music. Good shit.

This guy, actually. He's a one man orchestra, representing all of his people and their beautiful carousel song.

Legend has it it's a lot like that suicide symphony zombie Beethoven plays in ROD, in terms of what happens to those ill-fated enough to hear it. I'd really have to agree.

He wasn't directly nazi but he did hate the Jews (he thought they are meddling with German culture etc.). Hitler like a lot of his play because he saw his perfect race in them. He did ban one of his plays tough.

A lot of people won't blame you for listening to Wagner because they usually have no idea about Wagner except for Ride Of The Valkyries. I did notice on last.fm at least that people who are usually into nsbm or rac tend to listen Wagner as well. It fits their image so they listen to it.

And you can't really blame people if they think you are nazi if you listen to Neofolk. I mean, Death In June uses totenkopfs all over the place and a lot of others enjoy their cryptofa trinkets. ;P
