Wow. Truly the end of an era.

Yamato discloses to Kin'emon and Momonosuke that, at least for the time being, he has chosen not to join the Straw Hats. He intends to explore the world within Wano before making such a commitment. The trio accompanies the Straw Hats to bid them farewell. Luffy, in a gesture of solidarity, hands Momonosuke his flag and promises to come back if Wano faces peril. Luffy expresses openness to having them join the crew should they opt for a life of piracy. Despite the crew's objections, Luffy defies their wishes and takes a route down the waterfall instead of using the port as they depart Wano. The teacher concludes the narrative by detailing Orochi's final moments and the resurgence of the Kozuki Clan, reclaiming their former glory.

I absolutely love how Luffy casually treats Law like his best friend, even though he just declared his intention to go for the kill the next time they cross paths—talk about a classic Luffy moment! It's like everyone is in on the unspoken understanding that Law would never actually follow through with it. I had half-expected Yamato not to join, and I'll firmly stick to my opinion that it's for the best. I've delved into my reasons at length before, so I won't rehash them, but I never quite saw him fitting the Straw Hat mold. This serves as a fantastic conclusion to the series' lengthiest arc to date (by a significant margin). Now, my mind can't help but wonder where Caribro was throughout all of this.

It's been one hell of a ride to say the least. This marks the longest One Piece arc in terms of episodes, a whopping 194 in total. Along the way, we've celebrated numerous milestones, from reaching the 1000-episode mark to the brilliance of episode 1015 and the unveiling of Gear 5. It really hit me when they started playing that retro version of Over the Top man.

A heartfelt thank you to Toei, Megumi Ishitani, and everyone who contributed to crafting this masterpiece of an arc. Farewell, Wano, it's been quite the journey.

4,5 years and almost 200 episodes later we've reached the end of Wano. It's crazy to think that next spring it's been 5 years. Didn't feel that long ago to me since I've watched the first episode, lol.

The years under Kaido's rules must've felt a lot worse. After brainwashing the kids with propaganda it's more than just to celebrate the heroic tale of the samurai with a performance. They deserve all the glory.

This wasn't only the longest stay for the Straw Hats, but also the longest time they've spent with dear friends. Luffy didn't claim Wano like a Yonkou, he did it more so as a nakama and big brother. Pretty touching and if you look at things from Momo's perspective it's downright tearjerking. Imagine how lonely you would feel as little boy if the people you've traveled with, the people you've grown attached to, the people who saved you are gone from one day to the next. It's probably a bit like going back home after spending time abroad, that's how I imagine it.

Luffy for Momo is what Shanks was for him, really like that parallel. We'll see how great Momo becomes in the future. With Oden's genes and Kaido's Mythical Zoan he got a great base.

To me it seems like Oda wasn't sure himself what to do with Yamato. Can't say that I dislike the decision to let her stay in Wano. I was looking forward to her hang around more with the other Strawhat's, but aside from that she ain't really a great permanent crew member material and as a supporting character she wasn't even close to being as great as Oden, Corazon or Bon Clay. Now that wouldn't have been as big of an issue as it was if Oda had not decided to put much as much emphasis on her character as he did. She had Oden's journal which served as another important link, perhaps the most important one between the past and the present, yet her Onigashima subplot was weak for most parts, especially with the abundant filler moments Toei added.

I also had hoped Zoro's character arc would've been on Sanji's level. Instead it left a lot to be desired.

Lastly, Wano was the most major shift for the anime. The whole style changed and we easily had the highest quality episodes fans never would've imagined to get. Alas, some of the old problems remained. I would even say that we had many of the slowest episodes in Wano as well(and not just because it's longest arc overall). I still think that the outstanding episodes were worth it.

P.S. Law doesn't have to be such an ass to Chopper xD

Wano comes to an end with a beautiful teaser for the next arc. it's been a joyful journey which started 4 years ago and ended today. Yamato's decision to stay had quite a big of an uproar when it was released in the manga. Well, I'm fine with it as she doesn't have a much big of an impact like some others in my opinion. Luffy's interactions with Law since the start of the alliance has never failed to make me laugh and even at the end, it is just as amazing. Everyone is going their own way and the Strawhats are going to Egghead which the teaser and promo got released. Forgot to mention how incredibly talented staff were during this arc and all the magnificent and well crafted episodes we got that will never be forgotten like 1015,1074 etc. It's just incredible that Wano had the opportunity to showcase this level of animation.

wano arc finally comes to an end in grand fashion just like it started and tears were shed. easily a top 5 arc with some of the best animated sequences in all of anime. i'm gonna miss the wano aesthetic. it was beautiful and with 194 episodes, wano is the arc that made me wanna start one piece and showed us the highest of peaks. we learned more about the rocks pirates, we got that amazing roger flashback arc, got introduced to yamato, received megumi and vincent cinema. episodes like 1015 and 1062 will probably never be topped.
momo's journey has been rough, what he was saying was hitting me but but it's time to be a man as shogun. wish yamato joined the crew but luffy's has 3 spots open for them anytime they want. nice seeing luffy, law and kidd interact like that as they finally depart from the shores of wano as the curtains of the final act of wano finally draws to a close. bitter-sweet because i'm gonna miss it but the preview for the next arc is out and we must move on. on january 7th 2024, we finally see nami and robin's amazing new arc outfits finally animated.

The culmination of Luffy and Momo's dynamic was so amazing to see. Momo really looks up to him and Luffy views Momo as his little brother. It's alot like Luffy and Ace's relationship in post-war.

Can't wait for the final saga!!

The end of the Wano arc after all these years! I have to say, even with its flaws it was probably one of my favorite One Piece arcs, especially when it came to the anime.

Momo suddenly crying like that was unexpected but I guess he is still a kid on the inside.

I'm going to miss these 3 captains constantly trying to compete with each other over stupid things.

It's ironic how they are talking about how the Kurozumi clan should burn when it was this attitude that lead to their terrible situation in the first place.

Wano=End <3

Dang, rip Wano. Shogun goes from ready to eliminate to crying with head in the ground hahaha. Very good departure. I just finished New Game!! right before watching this episode which also had wonderful good byes like this <3

"Oden" must be protected at all costs! I don't see momo every surpassing "Oden" but we will see. I think he made the right choice staying, this episode confirmed that Luffy would have 100% accepted him into the crew, but he made the right move and with good reasoning. Oden first travelled Wano, so he will first travel Wano.

OH NO NO NO NO, I feel so sorry for their crews having to deal with these insane captains Q_Q

Hahahaha to Hiyori line (did that even really happen?) to Orochi, it was perfect.

Wonder where they will place it, this is Luffy's first Official territory though we can argue that village, alabasta, skypiaue, fishman, dressrosa and such are unofficial territories. I though fishman was official, but it can't be if they attended reverie.

Good point, he is very mysterious and has Pluton knowledge he will share with an unknown contact.

Yeah it is a bit concerning, yeah Orochi, Kanjuro, the 2 old folk, and the person who caused the initial Kurozumi hatred were evil, but there needs to be clear education NOT to discriminate on people based on their blood. That's probably one of the biggest things I have issue with is the apparent connection to blood in the anime with good strong families mostly being like that all the way through and evil families mostly being like that all the way through with few exceptions, but I let it go due to the exceptions.

And with that, the Wano Country arc has finally reached its conclusion. With the anime being so close to the manga, the pacing still had the same problems that have plagued the anime for years, but when this arc had its high moments, they hit hard. The change in animation style did wonders for those moments throughout the arc, we were really blessed with some of the best animation I've ever witnessed. Big thanks to all of the staff that brought those moments to life, and I hope they continue to bless our eyes as we head into the next arc. Plenty of upcoming hype moments that I'm dying to see animated down the road.

It almost feels surreal to be moving on, and there's a bittersweet feeling that I get as we say goodbye to Wano. Mainly, the fact that we won't be seeing certain characters regularly anymore. If you really think about it, this was a culmination of a DECADE worth of buildup, and the ball started rolling all the way back in Punk Hazard. So after a decade of seeing characters like Kin'emon, Momo, and Law regularly, along with some others who became regulars along the way, it's going to feel a bit weird not seeing them almost weekly going forward. Still, onward to Egghead!

Way too many flashbacks were shown here despite the previous episode already having been heavy on the use of Wano flashbacks, but at least this is the last time we'll have to endure a Momonosuke crying fit for a long time. The animation was nothing special but not bad either.

Yamato staying in Wano made me smile if only because I've had to endure almost a year of people saying "I hope Yamato joins the crew" and me not being able to say that she wouldn't because I didn't want to spoil the end of the arc for some people. I'm just relieved that this 4 year long nightmare of an arc is finally done. It's surreal to think that this arc actually started in the anime before the pandemic happened.

The new Wano teacher guy puts on a show in front of an audience and explains the story of the Battle of Onigashima on the day of the Fire Festival. There is a bunch of different art showcasing the Akazaya and others involved in the battle and it’s got a different feel to it. It’s serene and just a sight to see.

Momo, Yamato, and Kin all make their way to the port to say goodbye to Luffy. Momo thinks back to everything he’s gone through with Luffy and he and Kin talk about punishing Luffy for his actions. That’s not happening. No one does anything to the newest Emperor of the Sea.

They arrive and meet up with Luffy and the crew. Momo starts out angry, but then he starts balling his eyes out like usual and tries his best to express his feelings toward them. They are the saviors of Wano and he doesn’t know how to fully articulate his gratitude towards them. Luffy tells Momo that he thinks of him as a little brother, which is the biggest honor that Momo could have because he has the same bond as Luffy does with Ace and Sabo. YOU BETTER BE THANKFUL FOR THAT! Luffy has Usopp show Momo why he gathered all that black cloth. It’s a giant Straw Hat flag for Momo to wave around the Land of Wano and use as a deterrent if any enemies dare to try anything. With that, the Straw Hat Pirates set off. Momo tells Kin that he’s going to surpass his father someday, and Yamato really thinks they are talking about him. NAH YAMATO YOU CAN’T STEAL ODEN’S IDENTITY!

Nami mentions how there’s an official port that lowers the ships (given that they had to climb a waterfall to get to Wano), but Kid interjects. He basically calls out Luffy and Law for taking the safe path (implying that’s cowardly) and then Luffy and Law IMMEDIATELY switch gears and go straight off the waterfall (despite everyone else trying to stop them).

The story continues to being told by the teacher and we get to some stuff we haven’t seen yet. As Orochi was dying, he talked about how the Kurozumi will curse the Land of Wano, but Hiyori wasn’t having that. She walked up to Orochi’s decapitated head, pointed a fan with the Kozuki’s crest, and said “Black charcoal would not be called kurozumi if it wasn’t burned!” Powerful words to forever ward off that scum from trying anything in the afterlife. That is the story of the Legendary Warriors’ comeback.

Lastly, Momo wants to find a place to fly the flag and that ends the story of the Land of Wano.

I’M EXCITED FOR MORE ONE PIECE!

Gotta admit that I felt emotional from seeing the final curtains close down on the Land of Wano because I'm bidding farewell to the longest arc in the One Piece anime so far, and it's actually over after more than 4 years. Wano is really over, and I'm glad to be here to witness this massive arc's finale.

Been watching Wano arc for 4 years - a very long time in the anime and I've been through such difficult times over the course of those 4 years especially with the start of the pandemic and more crazy stuff during 2021 but watching One Piece was my escapism from the difficult reality.

This arc has the biggest impact so far with Luffy taking down an Emperor and eventually becoming an Emperor himself. We also got introduced to Gear 5 which was so much more goofy & Luny than I even anticipated. These massive events will shift the balance of the world and the next arc is what's going to be heavily affected by it.

Wano arc also had the most spectacular animation and we've been blessed with such top-tier animation from a dedicated team. Megumi Ishitani & Vincent Chansard to name a few. They made Wano Act 3 such an incredible treat for the eyes with so much movie-quality animation. I'll never forget them because most of my favorite moments in Wano arc had those names involved with the animation.

Pacing issues have been present in most of the episodes with usually slow development and not much happening. It's too bad that some episode directors couldn't make certain episodes stand out but, well, I'll forgive Toei for that, no sweat. There are still many episodes from Wano Act 3 that I personally love.

It's hard to rate Wano arc tho... xD But Wano is still one of my top favorite arcs in One Piece. I'm satisfied with the conclusion of the arc's final episode. The final curtain closing down...it gets me every time.

I'm so glad I've made it this far. I'm so proud to have finished Wano arc. I'm so happy about Gear 5. This arc has been incredible, and I'm super ready for the upcoming new arc. :) Eureka!

It's hard to believe that the biggest arc has actually come to an end after almost 4 and a half years.

With Wano, One Piece generally experienced such a huge increase in quality when it came to animation that I often found it hard to believe that this was still the same anime, I fell in love with over 20 years ago. Hopefully this can be maintained in the future.

Even if this isn't necessarily the most favorite arc for many people, especially in terms of the slower episodes or the recurring flashbacks, I personally can only give Oda my compliments. Be it the incredible story of Oden, through which we finally got to see more of Roger and his last adventure, the betrayal of Kanjuro, which probably not everyone expected, the raid on Onigashima + the associated fights and not to forget Gear 5, which broke through all boundaries of the One Piece world we knew to this point.

This final episode turned out to be a lot more emotional than I initially imagined. Momo may have the appearance of a grown man, but inside he remains an 8-year-old. So he's obviously more prone to crying, even if in this case I can completely understand the reason behind it. Through all the time on the ship and the experiences he made with Luffy and the others, Momo and Kinemon not only became part of the crew, but part of a family, which Luffy confirmed again in his typical manner.
The gigantic Jolly Roger is a great farewell gift, which should also offer protection if someone gets the idea of wanting to mess with Wano again. So that was the reason why Usopp needed all the black cloth. I can't deny that I'm a little sad about the fact that Yamato will be staying in Wano alongside Momo. While this may just be my personal opinion, I think she would have fit well within the Straw Hats, especially considering that she displays a similar curiosity to Luffy, which would have made for a great dynamic.

Nonetheless a perfect conclusion for this great arc. Goodbye Wano!

The endless competition between Luffy, Trafalgar and Kid never gets old and is always incredibly funny to watch. Reminds me of the scene where they were trying to figure out who would dodge Big Mom's attack first, which made me laugh so hard. I will miss this trio.

Even with the knowledge of the things that have happened in the world, I have absolutely no idea where the path leads from here on. It's going to be extremely exciting and I'm really looking forward to the new adventure ahead of us.

What a long journey it has been, 4.5 years, pre covid mind you, this arc was monumental for the series, the crew, and the world of the One Piece, bittersweet to see it go from the Manga first and now from the Anime as well.

Can't believe the end of wano is here. Been a good journey with everyone and it's time to say goodbye once again. Sad that Yamato didn't join strawhats but maybe someday she will. Luffy, Law, Kidd rivalry had me laughing, some stuff never change. Now onwards to the next arc.

Genuinley made me tear up as this is the first new episode i’ve seen since catching up at 1084. Wano was such a great arc and saying goodbye to Momo and and gang was rough since we’ve been with them for so long. Excited for what’s to come though.

the day has come where wano finally ends in the anime. i do kinda wish they did a top notch animated episode to send it off but i guess the content within it didn't really require such a thing. good episode and i'm excited to see how they're going to adapt egghead

Letss gooo, Yamato doesn’t join the crew !! (at least for now)
Overall, imo Wano is an arc that has a great beginning, a hype-full middle part but an ending that seems to drag a bit too much (and also rip kaido’s backstory)
Anyways, onwards to the final saga!

Sad that Yamato stayed, would have liked another female presence on the ship. Wano is finally over, can't say I really enjoyed like other arcs.
@GakutoDeathGlare I'm also pretty upset about Yamato not joining the gang, to my point there should at least be one more woman in the gang.
