Seems this latest episode took on a darker direction and reminding us just how dangerous their world can be.

Even Vash felt helpless and some of the cast seriously faced unimaginable dangers. Millions Knives is probably someone to keep an eye on for what he's capable of. Crazy stuff. This episode really picked up business imo.

Haven’t watched it yet. Heard that Johnny Yong Bosch is reprising his role as Vash. So I think I’m gonna wait for the dub to come out.

Shit got real and it's only episode 3. If there was one thing this episode was set out to do, it was to show just how dangerous of a threat Knives is, and boy did it do its job well. This man is a whole different animal. Plus, I thought they did a really good job of making the buildup to when Knives cut off Nebraska's arm as unnerving as possible. Some frightening stuff in this episode, can't wait to see where things go from here.

I love how Studio Orange handled the redesign of Knives and creating new characters and storylines. Still seems like they're sticking to the theme of Vash indirectly destroying the towns he comes into contact with, which is good since it's the best part of the original Trigun.

This episode was really good imo, it seems like they are actually trying to make knives even more hateful and thirsty for blood. It also seems like this anime is going to focus a lot more on him which is great considering the lackluster-ish development he had in the original

Everyone, that is Millions Knives. He is capable of pure carnage at will. He's the reason Vash has that huge bounty on his head. Everywhere that Vash goes Knives isn't far behind to cause destruction and take plants. Them looking identical compounds the issue of all the blame falling on Vash. He's the one left to pick up the pieces which usually includes him being shunned and blamed. We saw in this episode how far Knives will go to get what he wants and punish humans. Vash is almost helpless to stop Knives when he uses that giant floating mass of blades. Vash whole attitude during Knives attack also seemed off, like he starts to panic once Knives shows up. The animation still looks good as the previous episodes. The first part of the episode with Vash facing that rolling bomber looked great. Cornering him with his own bombs did the trick and Knives had no more use for him. Some other of the Gung-ho Guns showing up to take both the town's plants. Leaving everyone still clinging to live with basically nothing left. Another town Vash feels was destroyed because he was there.

So, they really took "Millions Knives" literally in this version, didn't they? Not too sure how to feel about Knives being reimagined as some kind of monster from a horror movie, but it's certainly an interesting choice at least.

Goodness gracious. Knives is even more of a menace this time around, he fucking obliterated the whole town. This much when we still haven't met Gung-ho guns.

Loved the direction they went with this episode. It's definitely more gory than the OG, and it is for the best.

Shit just went from zero to millions. From a fun and carefree episode 1 and 2, we get a terrifying episode 3. NGL, I think I made a good decision not to watch the original or read the manga. This series is pure goosebumps to me in every aspect.

Edit: After rewatching, I just noticed, Nebraska daddy and Gofsef are alive along with Tonis(his mouth twitches a little bit at 20:01). I was heartbroken when I thought Tonis actually died when I first watched the episode. .

Fantastic episode. Finally we can see Knives using his... MILLIONS KNIVES! That was awesome, HOLY SHIT! I really liked E.G. Mine redesign too. He still a jobber, but much more menacing. Can't wait to see the Gung-ho-Guns reunited!

E. G. Bomber a.k.a. Ethan Gilbert "Easy Bomber" Hamilton, the bomber maniac releasing these robot-like contraptions that could enable the release of bombs at any time, he's a menace. Now going by E. G. the Mine, his target is the Plant, but Vash has him completely surrounded to secure the artifact back.

The mysterious Million Knives a.k.a his brother Nai gracing the small screen once again after 25 years, he's just as ominous, the stronghold villain that knows no fear. Taking the chance to reclaim both Plants and downsize the village into smithereens, Nai is NOT a person to be trifled with. The man who is also called the Humanoid Typhoon, the word from Rosa is the final nail in the coffin: where Vash is, trouble follows. And Vash can only head East to JuLai, where Nai goes.

This retelling of Trigun is definitely more violent and gory unlike the OG. And weirdly enough, I really dig this better than both it and the manga.

Outstanding episode. For reals, I'm impressed.

This episode went from 0 to 100 very fast, I feel sorry for Vash, a whole city was indirectly destroyed by him being in it, I may have forgotten something, but is there a reason for his brother to be like this? He looks like a madman who just wants chaos

Already introduced the main villain and the anime goes into a darker tone. Let’s see if the show will be more
faithful to the manga in comparison to the previous 90’ anime

The show isn't about Vash being a hero, it's about Vash looking for what he's lost. Episode 3 shows why it's the stampede, why he's always alone, being vulnerable without being able to save the people around him, even all this, Vash keeps smiling and walking forward. This episode shows the real Vash.

I dont like it....

This remade seems so different than the manga and it kinda disturb me.
But... July is still mention and so I understand it is a prequel that was non writing in the first chapters of the manga (only mention).
So I'm still waiting to how Orange will adapt Trigun and Trigun Maximum.

Ain’t no way people actually think this show is bad. Stunning first 3 episodes with amazing visuals and really cool characters so far. The only people who could possibly be mad at this are butthurt fans of the original that can’t fathom the idea of a re-imagining of the story that they’re nostalgic for. Just because it’s different doesn’t automatically make it bad. This show is objectively great so far, and as someone with no previous Trigun experience I think they’re nailing it.

this was a really great episode, i loved the gore. the piano scene, the smokey scene with nebraska, the ladies getting ripped apart. veryyy well done. my initial thought was that this was inferior to the original but after this episode if it remains consistent, i might see it on the same level.

I'm not enjoying this like I was expecting to which is a bummer. Maybe my biggest mistake was watching the original in preparation for this new adaptation because all I am doing while watching this is comparing it to the earlier anime and getting frustrated by the changes. I was hoping for a more fleshed out story and new battles, but why are they screwing with the characters? For example, I really dislike Vash's attitude in this adaptation. The dude would get so fucking dejected and emotionally unstable when homicidal villains would die in the original. He would constantly break down every time they died! And yet here we're shown an entire town of innocents getting brutally injured and killed and he barely reacts and apparently leaves with a smile on his face (according to Meryl)? What the fuck?

THE KNIVES WERE A WHOLE NEW SIGHT TO BEHOLD FOR A SYMPHONY !!!!! Like Byakuya's Senbonzakura, Raining down Razor Sharp Knives !!!!!!

Mannnn this shit was hard. The opps prevailed, a city destroyed, civilians died and our mc was powerless to stop them. An all around crushing defeat.

I like the way this reboot is headed. Truly, I don't mind the redesigns in characters or the fact that Milly was written out. But that's if she was actually written out or she her appearence was just written later in for this adaption. Whatever the case is, it's important we keep an open mind cuz i feel this is where the ball starts rolling for this story. So let's keep watching guys, i feel we're in for something good

I think overall the show isn't terrible or anything, but the writing and story doesn't really hold up to the old one. It feels kind of rushed and simplified. I thought having knives shown so early on, and be so one dimensional was kind of boring; it was much more engaging with the mystery element from original Trigun. I do like the overall stylized look of the show though, animation looks pretty clean and interesting. I just think the content is a little lackluster.

I love that they aren't pulling any punches with this new series. The animation for Knives'... knives heh, was amazing!! Jaw drop. I always say people should give an anime 3 episodes to try and keep their attention/convince them to keep watching. If these three episodes didn't do it for you, I honestly don't know what to say... I can't wait for more!
