| I liked this episode, I thought it was fun to see Chopper's reactions to Robin. She is good at getting people to like her though huh? |

| Why do people always dis character development episodes? Why do you even watch this anime in the first place? One Piece is not always about fighting. Throughout the story it creates a bond between the characters and the person who watches the show. If anime is constantly barraging the viewer with the epic battles the epicness factor gets scaled down and the show loses it's charm. ahem...Bleach...ahem I liked this one a lot. It told about Chopper's past and it was quite funny as well. <3 Zoro x Sanji & Robin x Chopper |
| I would say though, that one of the greatest qualities of One Piece is that it manages to be pretty focused on its characters while being essentially event based. Don't get me wrong, but I just think that this series doesn't work with conclusive episodes as well as building arcs. Still, this bunch of episodes was quite good, way better than some dull parts of Arabasta. |

| Fantastic episode. I now fully understand choppers interest for medicine & his personal motivation for life. Also nice to see Nico Robin in a peacefull setting for once. |
| Dull jokes, awkward cuts, nothing of value gained except perhaps some Nico Robbin foreshadowing with that flower meaning something to her and a little bonding between her and Chopper. All of which could have been done in an episode that was much faster moving and could have introduced much more than these two little pieces of information. Better yet, if it really wanted to focus purely on these two it could have done it with a much bigger scope telling us more than it did literally and through body language and such. This episode was reminiscent to the first movies, to no surprise it felt like it was poorly emulating One Piece rather than the fact that it is One Piece. Filler can range from awful like some of the Alabasta desert episodes, to mediocre like warship island arc, and to a good with decisions such as writing Ace into the story earlier than the manga. That being said, One Piece has not been favorable with our odds for good filler so I can't say I'm excited about this upcoming arc. |
| It's as if every single one of them forgot that Nico exists this whole episode but she doesn't have much of a presence to be fair. It was fun to see Chopper and her interact with each other since it made it a lot easier for us to warm up to her and we even got to know more about the Blue-Nosed Reindeer as a bonus. Zoro using his cyclone slash and having all those excess fruits fall on him was hilarious. |
