| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA/LN BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- A lot of blushes and "oniiisama". It's kinda what I expected. Well, whatever. It got along with the premise pretty early on actually. And I'm somewhat surprised by the amount of dialogues used. Looks like they introduced some of the characters so far. 2 cour show so I'm wondering how much they will adapt. Still, too much ONIISAMA from Miyuki. Oh well, at least Shiba isn't some weakling. |

| That before ep.1 special program basically spoiled everything. So the sister is part of student council, no wonder the group is not looking good at him. So they do everything with magic in everyday life. The explanation of the argument by the main guy... OP in ED. The preview part was like Machine Doll, nothing revealing (only title) with that dark background. |

| Slight infodump from the start. Mahou Sensou Loli Miyuki is a miracle of the universe. And that was it for the flashback? Laaame. That MB though. It's Ayase and Kyosuke. Let's get that out of the way first. Will need to get used to the voice of these two. Miyuki HHHNNNGGG. The art isn't up to par with the LN illustration but Ishida Kana raised the bar too high I guess. HanaKana kitaaa. It's Kuroneko Still think it's a miscast but I'll get used to it. Mayumi is bound to lose though and even more now that she's struck with the HanaKana curse. Shiba, Chiba, Shibata. Miyuki, Mizuki, Mayumi. Ed, Edd and Eddy. These names really. That atmosphere. So awkward. Magic rollerblades and magic sprinting. The best. Nice fight animation. Just an average day for Tatsuya there, sparring with Yakumo. No infodump. Again. Miyuki kawaii. And that discrimination and bullying. These blooms. Morisaki looks so average. If only they know how strong these guys are. And timely intervention from Mayumi and Mari. That OP. Based LiSA. So far so good, except for the lack of infodumps. At least there's some monologues from Tatsuya. inb4 LN folks complain, haters complain, everyone complain. This should be fun. Starting the ep discussion when the ED isn't over yet. Sasuga Stark. |

| So they cut the infodumps afterall. Is it because they already spat it out on those specials ? Well overall it's a good episode. Miyuki is kinda annoying a bit just as i expected but i will bear with it :) Be ready guys, i already can see elitists armed with tons of hate and bashes about incest or gary-stu MC incoming XD This should be fun |

| Well that was a really mediocre start. The constant onii-samas got on my nerves, but the action scenes were pretty good. This is Madhouse after all. Will keep watching, but expectations aren't high for now. |

| Omg, cute imouto action all over <3 Kuroneko, is that you? x_x I like the first episode; Mahouka Koukou is looking good so far. Granted, I haven't read the light novel so I can't really see how good of an adaptation this is. The 22nd century setting is nice though. |

| So, great first episode. If you haven't, look for the shorts that Explain the world. If not, then most of the stuff that happened may not have made sense. But a great start to the series, I think. |

| I love this anime already!! The magic, the animation, the characters, the opening. It's all so good. Although I'm not a fan of incest, I like Tatsuya and Miyuki! Especially Miyuki. I can't wait for episode 2 next week!! |
| I hope people had went into this with expectations grounded as expecting too much would have been fateful when the enrollment arc part flashed on screen. In any event, I consider this the weakest arc in the series as its just introductions and world building, though spiced up by a thrilling performance from Morisaki Shun and his Quick Draw.Perfect adaptation so far and the soundtrack is phenomenal especially with Yakumo and also the initial schools scenes. Loved the ED clips, cant wait. |

| I personally thought this was a pretty much perfect first episode. Tatsuya is just as BA as I wanted him to be :D I wasn't keeping my hopes low either. It surpassed them thankfully :D Loved the animation and OST. Really happy that the character designs are really close to the LN designs too ^^ They're really beautiful. The reduction of info dumping is totally understandable, Well, they did keep some of it and what's great for me is that they kept quite a few lines for Tatsuya's monologue! THANK U MH :D The Tatsuya running behind skiing Miyuki was nice. Loved the combat animation against the shinobi. Dat Yakumo vs Tatsuya was epic!! Leo and Erika already on each others throats XD And the incest misunderstandings are already spreading XD And finally...loved the OP so much! Goosebumps >.< Can't wait for nxt ep. Someone jealous should be getting their asses handed to them nxt week ^^ :P |

| Ah yes, Madhouse I like your style. You should put more faithful to the light novel, and stick it until the end :D. Damn, it also made the OST's looked awesome. Just hope they don't ruined several parts throughout its run. |
| Aw yiss. Motha. Fuckin. Twincest. Well, not really twin, but they look really alike so I'll allow it. Their relationship is already so hot, damn, my sense are tingling! The doujinshis will be good :3 Now, more seriously, it was a great first episode. I must admit, I don't excpect that much from that show. It will surely be between good entertaining or awesome entertaining, but certainely not a classic. The story is not really original (saying after seeing one episode is kinda ironic...) and the character look generic. Yet, I'm still hyped for the next episode, I didn't felt bored while watching it. The fighting part was really cool and nicely animated. I need to watch more martial art anime because they what all boys are phantasming about :P The art in overall is pretty good. It have a bit of an SAO feeling, I don't know if it's just me. But SAO also have a lot of similarity with other anime art, it's just that it's the firsst coming on my mind x) I'll already make a bet that Erika and Leonhart will end up falling in love each other and end up together xD The magic part is kinda confusing for now. I don't really understand how it work. They said in the beginning that it was due to the advancemet in technology, but they didn't explained it after. Though, I can understand that taking the first episode to explain all the background to the viewer can make him lose his interrest and bore him. I guess we'll learn more about this and Tatsuya ''secret''. |

| I think this is going to be one the shows that I'll enjoy the most this season. Tatsuya is really smart and strong, a strong male lead at last. Miyuki seems like your typical overprotective and jealous little sister type. I have high expections and I hope they'll be met. |

| It was a pretty good introduction episode I hope that tatsuya will get more monologues because in the light novels those monologues were freaking epic. I really hope they include the theory behind magic and include atleast majority of the information that the light novel gave about psions, CADs, magic types and all that good stuff. I did raise my bar realllyyy high for this series because I loved the light novels so damn much but I would say it pretty much hit the bar more or less. Looking forward to see the next episode :) |

Tatsuya seems like a cool character so far, I wonder what he's hiding. I thought I would like Miyuki more from the PVs, but her love/respect for her brother was a little too much for me for just one episode. I liked the choreography in the sparring scene though, and the magic battles already seem much cooler than than a certain anime about wizards last season. I didn't come in with much expectations for this, but it has caught my attention. One of the ones that I've actually really enjoyed so far this season :) |
| Entertaining first episode. I can see why Miyuki may get a little annoying, but I'll take the overly clingy little sister type over the bitchy tsundere type ANYDAY. |

| Didn't expect to enjoy this but it was quite nice. The directing is awesome. Great angle shots, flashy animation and nice music. The mix between dark/light-hearted moments was nice and the protagonist is interesting too. |
| Okay finally some decent original released anime (excluding sequels which are awesome). Comparing to the current season anime, this would definitely be a hit. 80% of the currently released anime seemed to be crap tier. |
