I am obsessed with Shiori's cute little fang. I know it's supposed to be creepy with the analogy of eating meat but I just can't help it with the context of Yuri lol. Shiori wanting Hinako to have a healthy mind before eating her makes sense, you'd want to season your food first and a happier Hinako will probably make her more delicious. But living a better life will make you want to continue living, I wonder how actually serious Shiori is with eating Hinako, or could she just be helping her to want to live. Hinako is special in a way that any kind of Yokai wants her, does it have something to do with her lineage? Or whatever happened to her in the past. Miko got NTRed. She's so damn funny lol, I wonder what will be her reaction when she finds out Shiori and Hinako went to the festival together. And just purely basing on her name, she could be a Miko in there too.  Still kinda bothered by the NPCs, but well.. The girls are the main course. |

It's sad to watch the depression of Hinako with all these happy people for the festival but Shiori is here for her!

My hypotesis is that her misfortune is either the cause or consequence of her "aura" that makes her appear delicious to yokai. In a way, it could work like a pheromone. Animals use pheromones to entice potential partners, however some predators learned to smell those pheromones to know "hey there are sexually mature individuals of this prey species scattering pheromones around, let's go eat them!", and this may explain why yokai are attracted to her. They whiff the "pheromone" and immediately go apeshit wanting to take a bite at all costs. Shiori is just a more intelligent species of yokai, so she has a different, smarter, approach. Similar to how human raise cattle and other animals for consumption Maybe she's just giving Hinako the "wagyu treatment" to make her taste better, or maybe she got attracted by her scent and wants to "metaphorically" eat her. Both can work. I have a couple of hypotesis of how this could go. Either 1) Shiori doesn't actually want to eat her, she got interested by her scent, realized her situation and wanted to help her, so she is purposedly using the misunderstanding about eating in her advantage. Hinako thinks she wants to kill her, but in reality she wants to "eat" her out. Either way, she can make her progressively appreciate life more, and eventually clear the misunderstanding Or 2) Shiori really wants to eat her. And for now, her interest is aligned with Hinako's, who also wants to die. However, making her appreciate life more will make her want to live, which will contradict her intention, then it could go three different ways: 2a) Hinako realizes this and actively tries to drag Shiori towards herself romantically, to make her also not want her death anymore 2b) Shiori is the one who changes her mind midway, and she is the one who has to work towards that 2c) "Bad end" All of these can work. 2c can be interesting but it has to be fleshed out properly otherwise it would look cheap 2b is honestly kinda lame not gonna lie, having Hinako take an active role (2a) would work better But let's be honest this is shoujo AI, so depending on how cheap yuri we will get, it will either go with cliche (1) or go horror ending with (2c) I want to be surprised, so I hope to be wrong... |

| Another suspenseful episode. Love it. I'm starting to think Shiori isn't really there to eat her (or she was but later she changes her mind) and she's just there to make sure Hinako deserves happiness after what she went through as a child. Actually, manga readers, don't deny or confirm my theory. |

| This is really going kinda slow. Fortunately, we have Kitaaaan Miko to spice up things. I love her. The love (hunger?) triangle looks interesting. However, firstly, I was thinking about Miko and Shiori sharing the meal, not about Shiori eating both of them. Anyway, she doesn't like de genki/deredere flavor of delicious Miko. Not a woman of culture. |

| My favorite part about this anime is its calm atmosphere. I really like the quiet, sad main character Hinako and all that peaceful and at the same time dark and depressing aesthetic. Also this anime really suits my mood right now, i understand Hinako and her feelings very well. Mermaid Shiori looks pretty evil in this episode when she says that Hinako is just livestock to her, something she raises for food. Hinako doesnt seem to be against it, but still... Miko is cute and btw did you notice how jealous she is of Hinako and Shiori? They literally fight over Hinako. Also there are a lot of white lilies in the ending, you know right, yuri is life. So Hinako decided to wait until Shiori decides she is ready to be eaten (second episode of this yuri anime and again i have to restrain myself from making bad jokes). Waiting for the next episode |

| Shiori's introduction in school puts colour in Hinako's life, as much as the former relents on making her "dish" fruitful, and the latter just wanting to die quickly, the wish is going to wait for quite a while before Hinako could get hers be done. On the other end, Hinako's good friend Miko Yashiro being the close friend who's jealous of Shiori, it's the usual banter of friends, though with the former's lack of consciousness be it either with Miko and Shiori, it's as if Hinako's just moving through the seams of time. The Summer festival of families and friends celebrating together, it's once again another reason why Hinako finds it stifling, and yet another reason to say no. However, unlike Miko, Shiori wants her meal pure and delicious, and off to the festival they go. For now, Hinako is the push-comes-to-shove character needful, Shiori should try harder... |
