| A twist by ep 3, MC Kun got tricked. Though the crew isnt all that bad. This ep had a lot more of the classic trigger style. Though I still cant get over the monotone colouring and shading, its just so devoid of details though its actually rather colourfull.. Good thing they sexualized the loli or I would have dropped the show by now. |

| David got off lucky since Maine knew his mother. The school wants him back for secret human experimentation, but David has found his calling among the Edgerunners. The bike and limousine chase scene is absolutely spectacular, I got major Akira vibes. The crew coordinate a data heist involving very gleeful Rebecca distracting the victim but it just takes too long. Their client wanted them to be discrete as the victim will be more cautious if they are aware they had their data linked. |

| The car chase action was awesome! Martinez found himself a good gang. The music is such a banger and Rebecca seems hella weird but also interesting. Principal got a good ass answer lol. |

| Holy shit, the action scenes are insane. They really don't hold back on the gore and the death scenes and I'm all here for it. The first mission was pretty much a success and David is now part of Maine's gang. So I guess David will be getting even more implants in the future? Lmao, Rebecca is a fun character. I guess we have a cyberpunk loli on our team too. Faraday gives me final boss vibes even though I know it's gonna be either the Arasaka Corporation or the govt. |

| Favourite episode so far. Just a really fun, classic caper that was pretty exhilarating to watch with how stylish the series can get. Really loved the car chase, even how those text logs screens from Maine showed up when he was telling David he'd have to learn to drive, really punctuated the weight of the situation and made it more hype. Thought all the big moments were well-built up too, before David does his car flip trick on the highway to get out of traffic, there's a build-up to that decision making that I really helps these moments land. It's probably just because of what little I've seen of Kill La Kill mostly leaving a negative taste in my mouth, but I do tend to associate Trigger with instant gratification, with the action just coming in a flurry of insane spectacle. Maybe that's an unfair preconception, but it makes me really appreciate how while the spectacle is still here, each individual moment is heightened by a willingness to slow down and build them up. I didn't think a character as prominent as marketed as Lucy would just wind up a betrayer/villain so I was curious to see how they'd resolve this, and I think Gloria being a seller was a solid out. Not only does it makes sense why Maine would be more sympathetic towards David here, but the previous episodes built up the idea that Gloria had to be doing more than she let on to provide David access to the school. I'm glad it wasn't prostitution like Katsuo implied. And yeah, the Polish song at the end was a nice choice. I can't say I'm too fond of the OP/ED yet but I do like how distinctive this soundtrack has been. |

| Pretty solid episode! Maine seems like a reasonable guy especially since he knew David's mom! The car chase was insane, David is pushing himself a little too much for his own good, which is a little too dangerous. It was nice of Maine to give David immunosuppressants for the implant he has. I still have a hard time believing that Lucy sold him out lol |

| So another small advantage of the dub is not just the lingo, but you now get that contrast when the Tyger Claws speak Japanese, as to opposed when everyone's speaking Japanese in the sub. But there's only one reason which would make it enough to convince you to watch it dubbed, something I just realized myself recently: and that is fricken' Giancarlo Esposito. |
