| A marriage proposal from the first episode is wild, although it's not for real. Right off the bat, they paired up Takuya and Rika together. I know it's early but there's chemistry between the two already. It's refreshing this has adults as a cast. The artwork is solid even with some of the simple yet artistic look of the characters. Other characters like Asako also has a presence. It's an interesting start imo, obviously aiming for rom-com elements with its story. |

| Do employees in japan help in cleaning as well at their workplace(a place where they work in formal attire).. like genuine cleaning, the way we saw the guy doing? Lol, I mean could be their company specific thing(in fact it actually is), but it still hilarious. They do that at their schools I guess, but man, you earn money for the actual work you do at your workplace, this is just them asking their employees to do anything in the name of company policy. Anyway, irrelevant stuff aside, this small tourism corp deciding to open one of their branches in Alaska is one of the most hilarious things I’ve heard this whole year… … like I knew from the synopsis, but still. There are a LOT of bright and happy places around the world which they could’ve chosen, but nah lol. Can’t blame the main leads for devising a fake marriage plot just to escape the Siberia plan. Really though, moreover their internal monologues were actually funny. Also, I mean nobody would even doubt, they are exactly SAME character wise, after all. Such funny colleagues and manager as well lol. I hope they don’t ask for their money back for the party they threw if they actually come to know the truth xD Workplace romances are a hit or miss. Though this one was actually fun. Looking forward. |

| From the famous mangaka behind the series that is Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai a.k.a The World God Only Knows, Tamiki Wakaki is back after his stint on last Fall's 16bit Sensation: Another Layer to give us yet another of his works, one of the latest being this show. The Japan Tourist Co. a.k.a JTC travel agency, where its employees are many and the sociable kind...except for Planning Department's Takuya Ohara and Rika Honjoji who pretty much prefers their time alone. But when their company is branching out and needs personnel to manage their new branch in Alaska, Anchorage, everyone dreads going there because it's close to the North Pole, and unmarried people are preferred. Married people are off the hook, and as much as Ohara and Honjoji have the same feelings on their own interests, getting married surely was an unexpected surprise. The thing is, this is a pretend fake marriage since they barely knew each other. Furthermore, this is counting 365 days from now, and even so, Takuya goes ahead with the plan from Rika, whom she tries to act and make sure that their farce doesn't get exposed until then. Their company, much less their manager Kurokawa, takes their low-key shotgun marriage rather seriously, and both were certainly put on the spot with the surprise party, but the plan still has to go on regardless, no matter what their colleagues think of them as a sudden pair. Honjoji even going as far as to foolproof their fake marriage that feels heartless more than most, there's no going back now, even going as far as to prep wedding rings and a proposal. Even without the right words, Honjoji will wait for Ohara, and this fake marrage...will it lead to a life-long relationship? Expecting great things to come from this seemingly simple romance. |

| Although this type of romance is nothing new, it's always nice to get a romance that's set in a work place and the main leads are adults. Though, the biggest problem with all those others are always the fact that they usually never go anywhere. This time around though, ten minutes in THEY GOT... "married"... LOL. Even though it's not an actual marriage, it's WAY more progress than what these other work related romances get in twelve episode. Works out even better because these two are legit basically the same people just different genders lmao. They're really cute together, especially Honjouji herself because that karaoke she did was just priceless. Get herself piss drunk just to not feel the embarrassment, I feel her. Could really feel for her when she couldn't remember Oohara at all. The way they presented it reminded me of the 'X's' in Silent Voice ngl. But ofc, that led to the first of many sparks hopefully. Even though a fake one, a fake one can easily lead to a real one. Start from the fake then make it into reality. Really, REALLY good start. Very excited for this one. |

| This is gotta be one of the most bonkers reasons for a marriage xD, so its either being exiled ... ehm, i mean sent as a company representative to a new branch thats opening in the Alaska, or get married to avoid the banishment, ehm ... i mean the transfer. Marriage it is then! I also love, how immediately it is the worst decision both of them made xD |

| Can't help but point out how the manga synopsis says Irkutsk in particular, the anime synopsis just Siberia. Fair enough. The anime however changed it from Russia to Alaska (US). Pls don't tell me it's because .. Funny how post 2022 politics also caused the change in many products names with Russian in it or in this case altered a location to fit the present times. Good start. This is the kind of rom-com that's to my absolute liking. And Saori Hayami is always a delight. |

| Ouf it turned into a big deal but it's great how nice the people from their workplace are. Bless reiwa era romance. Skipped all the steps and went straight into marriage, even if it's fake. Will be fun to see how these two will come to love each other and become an actual married couple over of the course of things. Love Rika, kuudere fmc with Hayamin voicing her is perfection. Btw that's one energetic cat Takuya has. Kama's adorable. The countdown on the 365 days begin. Love the manga and it's already been a year since it's over. Was missing it and glad to have the anime. Watching this episode even made me want to reread it and enjoy the ride once again. Such a sweet romcom. |

| The karaoke scene was really funny. This couple has a lot to work out tho and it's not just their back story. Both characters seems pretty innocent so i guess things will work out somehow but it will be interesting to watch what happens next. |
| 5/5 but with a major flaw: Why couldn't he just take that awesome cat with him?! I really like this, I can relate to both MCs and the mistakes male MC made like not doing a duet with her he fully realizes. Saying "Please Marry Me" truly is a hard thing to say and I would have absolutely loved it if he did, but likely this fake marriage will evolve into a real marriage. The cat is awesome and he seems like a decent guy, she seems really awesome and LOVES maps with it being a major hobby. Both of them seem to be hard-workers. I could definitely see myself volunteering for the position, but being stuck in Alaska (unless quit) sounds awful. ~2 years sounds fine, other guy been in his spot for 10 years but debatable whether he's actually miserable. I would think mosquitoes would only be issue in summer but I don't know. Funny how the suspicion is they bonked and are having a kid, and not marriage is way out. In before they get married and both go to Alaska LOL |

They do that at their schools I guess While I don't know if this is how it is typically done in Japan, I think it's how it should be done everywhere. My biggest peeve is people being disgusting and not cleaning up after themselves, one major one is people overfilling trash instead of taking it out, leading to me being the only one that takes out trash and the only one cleaning. Obviously cleaning should be part of duty day, and not added after/before. I would have to go back, but if they do that cleaning without getting paid during normal working hours, that's kind of messed up in my opinion. |

| @FMmatron Even if we ignore the fact of potential censorship, the opening of a Russian branch of a Japanese travel company in 2024 would indeed look strange. So it at least makes some sense. Although I find it funny that now the “scary cold place” is depicted not in the north of Russia, but in the north of the USA. |

| Being quick and decisive is one of the basic skills one needs for office work. Rika's glares really are menacing huh. Komiya sure is an excellent mood maker. She sure sprung quite the surprise on poor Takuya. But Rika sure is good at planning stuff out. The rings defo would sell their marriage better. Overall a pretty fun opening ep that had quite the unique premise. Curious to see where this goes. |

| An adult workplace romance and Hayamin?! Sign me up. We’ve seen the fake relationship to real relationship pipeline many times, but usually with hs students so doing it in the workplace should be fun. Looking forward to seeing Ohara and Honjouji relationship grow! Good premiere episode that set up the premise and I can already tell them trying to fool the other workers is gonna be hilarious. the MC reminds me a lot of paisen from Nagatoro actually, him not wanting to get shipped to Alaska because of his cat had me dying though man most people want to be relocated abroad with their job. That one guy in Tahiti complaining like he’s not in paradise was too funny 😂 Really my only issue with this episode is it seems like Honjouji proposing to him doesn’t make much sense given her lack of social skills.. but that aside this was cute and it’s always good to have more adult romance! |

| I remember reading the synopsis of a manga or something a while ago and it had a similar premise to this. I started watching this thinking it was the adaptation of that manga but this is not it. But I'm still glad I gave this shot. Because I already like the premise. Romcom anime with adult characters is rare for some reason. And they almost always seem to go under the radar. I suppose it's cause most anime watchers are kids. But you'd think the demand for this type of anime would increase over the years as kids from a few years ago become adults but I don't notice much fanfare... It's strange. Anyway, I hope this anime becomes successful. I really like how it's an adult romance where both the male and female lead are just average people with some communication problems. If this was just a high school romance I suppose it'd only be the male lead. Hope this will be a good one. |

| What a great surprise, to open the episode and the first thing I hear is Asumi Kana! I love her voice so much. Every time her character said something, I had to replay because I wasn't paying attention to the subs at first. I am so happy. A, nice episode by the way. |

| Peak Romance of the season dropped.. Honjouji was really cute and her obsession is so relatable to me. Ohara is also very nice dude and his Kama is one good cat worth leaving your job. Tourism centred theme is something I will enjoy. Big respect for Honjouji to come out with such an idea and able to propose it to him even with her shy nature. Then these two just went huh and huh over and over again before Ohara finally accepting it. The boss reaction was best, least conspicuous and was so happy for them. Honjouji drunk singing was great fr. Kinda slow on romance at start, I have hoped Ohara will say that line. But I get it it's so hard to say. I am sure he will reach there someday. Still a very good & wholesome start already liking the interactions between them. It maybe fake now but it won't be for long (ig). These two introverts will give so much wholesomeness throughout the duration. |

| i absolutely loved the manga for this, thought it was a really cozy wholesome read. this adaptation decent though, admittedly not as good as i was hoping but i'm still enjoying it. hayamin as honjouji was the best decision they made with this. really fun premise, can't wait to reconsume the rest of the story this way. |

@FMmatron They changed it because they changed it for the live action. The live action drama aired only 8 months after the Russian invasion which would make it current events. Having a Japanese company want to expand to promote tourism to Russia after starting a war for your feel good romcom is probably a bad idea.

| This first episode was fun and entertaining. "we would like to keep this quiet and low key" the boss plans a surprise party and ruins their plans. I was busting up with laughter 🤣 I also like, even thought it is a fake wedding, that he wants to say something good for a proposal and that she is being patient with him. |
Note: I don’t lazily watch 3-5 episodes, biasedly compare to other anime, or unfairly judge by surface level similarities. With every anime I start, I watch the entire series, both Japanese Sub & English Dub, then judge each anime based on what they present, to give an honest and fair rating.  |
