To jog your memory, Atsushi forces Akutagawa to make a deal that he wouldn't kill anyone for a duration of 6 months (not sure about the exact duration), for which Akutagawa said he'd strengthen up so that after he returned, him and Atsushi could have a final battle to the death. This is so damn good AKUTAGAWA YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHAHAHA LET'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO (Though I still wonder why he didn't show up at all last season. I think I'm just not remembering something.) So I assume he was out somewhere, training himself away from the regular functionality of the port mafia (so that he would stay true to his deal). Hope that is correct and helps! | To be honest I've kind of gotten tired of this series. Every season is about something that almost feels random. I can't for the life of me feel the direction of whole series. This season is continuation of the last one, but last one itself was "here's another random thing that happens" and it was blueballing for entire season and they left the culmination of the story for this one. Am usually the one complaining about shows which go from episode to episode without any world development, this this feels off. There's nothing inherently bad, neither art nor characters, it's just me. I've grown out of it. Grown tired. Am not feeling it anymore. Not sure if I'll continue watching. With other shows whenever there's a new episode I watch it soon after release. With this one it's "meh I'll watch it sometime". |

Probably because he's not the final boss; there's still Fyodor, despite him being locked up. Anyone felt the big reveal for Kamui was anticlimactic? I mean, they just hyped up Fukuchi in the first episode this season, and now we're supposed to be shocked the hero is actually the villain? Just underwhelming. Despite Atsushi saying the leader of V has to be charismatic, I don't really see Fyodor under this guy's finger. |

| It probably would've been a good idea to deduce Kamui's identity earlier. At least we get to see another Akutagawa team up. |

| Thankfully my unfortunate spoiling of Kamui's identity lasted only one episode (Fandom is a spoiling menace.. 😅). So at last Akutagawa is back on screen, after missing for quite a while. In the next episode we'll see his joint fight with Atsushi against Kamui, which we were shown in the OP of season 4 but not in any episode. It appears their fight was originally meant to take place at the end of season 4 but did not fit, so it was moved to this season. So Fyodor is not the No1 Top Dog, Fukuzawa's old mentor and friend is. Friend betrayals, the stuff of high drama since ancient times 😊 |
