| 2/5 A very disappointing episode. Didn't live up to my expectations at all and that's not saying much. The execution was all over the place including some really questionable choreography & compositions. The Tengen encounters were very lacklustre. Jarring shot compositions and just some really goofy choreography. Shion the blind interferes for a bit after which Tenza & Shion's brief dynamic is on display then suddenly, we're interrupted with another brief Tengen sequence which was better than the first but still not it. It felt very soulless and was not as cathartic as portrayed. I don't know, some of the highlights from the manga feels very drab & flat in the anime. Also, the flashbacks in the manga were short, tidy & straight to the point whereas in the anime, it feels like it keeps draaaaagggggiiiinnngg for so long to the point of boredom The final Tenza sequence was eye-candy for the most part but again packed no punch whatsoever. Probably my least favorite episode so far. The adaptation remains average at best. Apparently, no episode next week but im fine because i don't think i even look forward to these anyways. Atleast, I haven't for weeks now ~~ |

| What if moments always hit different. Emotional episode. Tenza served his purpose for Nurugai and Shion, even tho it's without a doubt bitter. Now these two can interact throughout a whole new character arc. It’s also refreshing to see the sensei not sacrificing themself for a change. Well executed storytelling. |

| It's not bad it's called just "Decent" at best and it doesn't need to be super good like others. Unless you have a superiority complex then idk what to say truly then. |

| Pretty alright episode, felt like we just met Tenza and now he's gone, brutal shit. I'll give him props thou, really didn't expect his character to have that type of backstory. Makes me respect him more, but really sucks that they really axed him after 2 eps. His backstory was shown decently well, it felt kinda short but also like the most important things were shown so he at least got his own spot line in this story. I'm still finding it wild how quickly characters are either killed or brutally injured before we get to see their full potential or story. Also the variety of you either get sliced clean in half or take 4 hits and still be able to walk is crazy. Considering the period this is set in as well, I'm sure something like Shion's throat getting sliced on a unknown island with limited resources has an extremely high fatality rate no matter how much they treat it. |

| The story of Tenza and Nurugai turned out to be very tragic! I really liked this episode, I watched it in one breath. |
| might be the best episode yet, this one almost hade me crying at the end. this show has so many moments that make me think "damn this really is the most anime thing i've ever seen" and they're all great |

| Tenza's death was a blow for sure. I'm pretty sure Shion will avenge his death and will be the new Asaemon executioner for Nurugai. I hope he becomes his sensei too. This dude was the second Tensen we've encountered. They seem to be immortal, have divine powers and are gender fluid mfs or some shit 💀 It's always the wholesome characters that die first fr ;-; |

| I'm guessing that the Tensen are actually a human too at first, then start thinking as God after obtained the Tan/Elixir |
| It's a shame Tenza died he was one of my favorites even in the small time we got to see him. This show really does show no mercy to any character. |
