| Yikes, it looks like Megumin has a hard time of earning a living. Then again, she just started with her career and it's one of many struggle she would've been more prepared for. This season is also expanding more into the franchise's world settings. Good to also see Cecily show up in this anime and they got a decent VA for her character. |

| The city of water and hot springs, Arcanretia, and here is where Megumin officially starts her solo adventure. Going to Axel requires money, but it's something that Megumin does not have, and even worse, there are no quests to take up. So then, it's off to odd jobs, but even that is not an option. The first instance of hearing the Axis Church brandishing the useless goddess of water Aqua, and a priestess getting accosted by priests, it's clear that she is also part of the cult group. Megumin, running away with the priestess Cecily away from the Eris Sect priests, and it's not like Megumin has a choice to not accept her deal. Haha, Megumin getting called a loli is just uncalled for, but it's just how these people operate, and this flows to the arch priest, Father Zesta. Of course, the war of conversions between the Axis Church and Eris sect, and Megumin offers a hand of help. The way of Megumin's help though with Father Zesta, he did just that...but more intentionally and stupid as heck lols. Be it individual or teamwork, Megumin got it bad from an off-duty constable/police officer. Megumin sharing to Father Zesta about the buxom beauty who uses explosion magic in the city of Axel, he indeed has a lead on her, but plot after plot, and they fail to attract even a single conversion. Megumin tries again, but this time, it's Yunyun seeing her antics, though why she's here with Chomusuke to see her, it screams sus. Yunyun advising what Megumin already knew about the sect, but they're greeted with the knight order showing a letter from the Crimson Demon village, which falls under the responsibility of the Axis Sect, and that unfortunately, got Father Zesta arrested on the accusations of the hot springs...which is what Yunyun's here for, delivering a letter that would soon befall calamity upon Arcanretia. A legit call for help, so what will Megumin do? |

| The city of water huh long time no see. Looks like the monsters around the city are quite dangerous for rookies. The axis church fanatic's are just as fanatical as ever. Of all people to catch her had to be YunYun. That intel from the village though sure sounded ominous. |

| I'm not surprised that the Axis sect or maybe I should call it Aqua cult is full of degenerates. Stick to Aqua's thicc thighs and cut the loli crap. Didn't know they commited the same type of vandalism on art as environmental activists as lol. Funny episode. Didn't take long for Megumin to reunite with Yunyun and to make a clown of herself again. And looks like we're going from rather episodic to something with more of an overarching plot for the second half of this cour? |

| You know the believers have a screw loose too if they're working for Aqua. Too bad we didn't see her making a brief appearance or something but we did see people with similar antics. It wasn't even a week since Megumin bid farewell to her folks back in village, to her rival Yunyun but hey we know there's no last time kind of thing in this series, and hence here she is again, Yunyun. The duo is about to work again to avoid something inevitable. |

| We’ve returned to the water city that is filled with members of the Axis Church who worship Aqua, good times in this place lol, but it doesn’t seem as bad this time around. Well, that made sense in the middle of this episode when it was revealed that Megumin is the one that came up with some of the scammy tactics we saw in Konosuba Season 2 lol, I guess she got a taste of her own medicine eventually. And the bits with Zesta were pretty funny, especially when we first met him and he was thinking of things to ask Megumin for since she said she’d do “anything”, I lost it when he said to sit on him lol. But now he’s arrested thanks to Yunyun showing up with Chomusuke, I guess he kinda deserves it based on his criminal record but I’m wondering if he’s actually evil or not, I guess we shall find out next time! |

| Cecily and Yunyun in the same series, what a blessing ❤️❤️ Even the opening and ending got updated a bit to add Cecily and the cult, that's a nice touch. The Axis cult is the best, I would join it. |

| An episode with the Axis Cult in it should have been much funnier than this, but the directing and comedic timing was just completely off for the entire episode; unlike the episodes with these nutjobs in season 2 of the main show, this didn't go far enough to show the comedic absurdity of the Cult. Like, there should be massive comedic potential and irony from Megumin teaching Axis cultists crazy recruitment methods (methods that later get used against her and the party when they return to the city in season 2), but it just doesn't land here. |

| Megumin is cute and lolicious, huh? Truer words have never been spoken about her until now! XD It felt fitting that Megumin would end up helping the deranged Axis Cult, who worships Aqua, so that she could have a place to stay and eat. Her time being with the Priest, Zesta, was pretty amusing. The duo had a good comedic timing, even when Yunyun made her appearance and ended up following Megumin back to the Axis Church, where Zesta ended up getting arrested. Looking at the preview for the next episode, I'm guessing that he wouldn't be locked up for long. It's also nice to see the OP & ED animation updated to show Cecily and the Axis Church as well. Lastly, I never thought of seeing Megumin in a waitress outfit, but after this episode, I'm glad that she wore that outfit in her very short spell in that job. The outfit looks really nice on her! =D |
