| Yooo, WE ARE remake with updated visuals. If someone told me as a child that this would be a thing I wouldn't have believed itopening 10 still over this As awesome as this is, I still would've preferred a new intense song with some Roof Piece teasing and other stuff._. We might get some, since the first WE ARE Remake sung by the seiyuu didn't last for more than a few episodes either. Anyway, about the episode. The first half before the commercial break wasn't anything special contenwise, but judging by art and animation you could already tell that Toei's A Team pulled up for this occassion. The second half was definitely unique. I still had a few gripes. Too much time spent on Frank Shogun for my liking and in hindsight his Radical Beam from last time was nerfed. The recapping got me more emotional than expected. It reminded again what a memorable journey it has been. I'm certain there will be complaints, but as a One Piece fan you ought to enjoy such a mini nostalgia trip. Visual direction was striking, I loved that they used the colors of each member, yet I was hoping for less narration/character reintroduction and more fast paced action before we got the Overtaken Mugiwara no Ichimi money shot. Still overjoyed overall. I mean this wasn’t as much of a traditional episode than a celebration. At one point it became clear that One Piece would get to the four digit episode count, but reaching this crazy milestone after following the series for 18 years is epic. Nostalgic opening and great production to let the main characters of this series shine, this felt more monumental than episode 1000 of Conan that also aired this year. Even if the anime has tons of flaws, I will never get tired of watching a slow ass episode that merely adapted 6 pages xD Thank you Oda and Toei. P.S. F for all those who couldn't make it till here because they passed away, but I hope the rest of us will reach the end. P.P.S. Rewatching the second half intensified the sensation. P.P.P.S. If you're early into the series, then I wouldn't recommend to watch this episode yet. Especially not if you're pre episode 483. It recaps a bit, including a major moment. You would spoil yourself brutally. |

| A great episode but I expected a little bit more. Happy 1000th episode with a remake of the first One Piece opening ''We Are!''. The visuals were seriously beautiful. The old art style was great but the new one is much better. The episode was 50% recaps but it is what it is. It were emotional recaps for most of the part and major spoilers for people who are just going to watch the 1000th episode. The second half of the episode was much better. Each member of the Straw Hats got their moment to shine with their own special color. It took us back to all the great and emotional moments that led us to THIS episode. The direction of the episode was perfect. Ussop casually broke the 4th wall xD It was long journey. I'm glad to be part of this since 2011. I still remember back in the days, sitting in front of the tv, waiting for One Piece to air as a little kid. The Arlong Arc is just memorized inside my brain and I'll never be able to forget it. Thank you Oda, Toei Animation and the rest of the staff to animate this wonderful piece of medium. I couldn't have asked for anything better than this. |

| Oh boy... the nostalgia truck hit hard with this one... The OP and even the interval screens... my heart... I started watching One Piece back in 2011(not counting the kid's version), now it's 2021, 10 years. Other than that, the episode itself was a straight-up banger. You could definitely tell that Toei pulled off the 1000th episode, the animation, and the visuals and direction, everything was just great. Not gonna lie, those recaps also got me emotional all of a sudden as well. Was expecting it but not that much... T-T Anyway, it's about the journey that matters to me, I've spent way more time on this series to not say that it's now a part of my life and my memories. Thank you, Oda-sensei for all these amazing memories. And, thank you to Toei and all the production team who's been a part of this journey. You guys are legends. I wake up earlier than usual today... Way earlier just for this episode. Now the next time I'm gonna wake up is for the last episode of One Piece. That's gonna be something else. Well, until then... |

| Haha, wooooow! The visuals of this special version of We Are! were too nostalgic for words! 😭 Really love it! I'm crying tears of joy and nostalgia. Alright, time to write my thoughts for this episode. This episode was FIRE and I really really enjoyed it. Every moment was dynamic with fantastic animation. Nekomamushi's and Inuarashi's transformation was animated wonderfully. And then Iron Pirate Franky Shogun makes a return in the monumental 1000th episode! The docking sequence was a treat for the eyes. I had a wide smile on my face when I saw the eyecatch. Another nostalgia moment right there! The second half of the episode was stunning. Never imagined they would reintroduce each of the Straw Hat members with montage of their past from old episodes. Wonderful animation for their intro even though it took up a lot of time from this episode, but the re-introductions were still pleasant to witness. This really made the pacing slow but the episode had such an epic finish that the pacing doesn't matter anymore. xD Thank you to everyone in TOEI for animating One Piece and thank you to Eiichiro GODa for creating this masterpiece. I'm so happy to be alive to witness this monumental 1000th episode and I highly doubt this could ever happen again in anime history. I'm so happy to be a One Piece fan. I love One Piece! |

| Congrats to One Piece for its massive accomplishment! 2nd show I've seen personally now with a 1000 episodes or more, first being Detective Conan. Really liked that remake opening, lots of nostalgia there and memories on top of a solid episode as a whole. |

The 1000th ep milestone just needed to be recognised in some way, as it's most special in of itself. The crew reintroductions took up way too much tho. | The 1000 episode was great, The nostalgia when the remaster version of WE Are started!!!, I knew that the content of the ep will not be as legendary as the episode but because of the great production, the episode didn't let my hype go to waste. Glad to be part of this Historical Moment. |

| I can't believe we're at this point and I couldn't be any happier I'm proud to be a fan of this series and getting to experience a massive milestone such as this really feels special. That we are opening was 10/10 and it doesn't feel real lol. It's the type of opening I would imagine that the final episode would have but it was very well done. I don't expect them to keep it for the following episodes but who knows. A lot of throwback bits here for the strawhat intros but considering the episode and where it left off, I don't mind much. The bit before the "to be continued" was a very small but nice addition |

| Nekomamushi and Inuarashi Sulong hype! Both of em looked sick. The second half with the Strawhats intro was legit amazing, loved it. Luffy announcing he'll take down Kaido with the Strawhats gathered behind him made me tear up, I'm so overwhelmed with emotions right now. Watching this episode made me quite emotional, specially with the remade version of the first OP. Congratulations to everyone involved with One Piece for reaching this milestone. It's been a long ride with One Piece. |

There were so many nostalgic moments in this episode that made me remember why I love this series. It's was so good seeing all of the straw hats standing together at the end. |

| Man, this is kind of an emotional landmark! "We are" with the updated visuals and the "thanks" in the end was just fantastic. For some reason, I thought Amuro Namie-san would feature in some way too, that would've been really nice honestly but a bit over the top I suppose lol. NGL, I was expecting Luffy to throw a decisive early punch or something of the sort to Kaido but I suppose it won't be that easy after all. Content-wise, there wasn't anything special but just seeing the Straw Hats regroup plus the short flashbacks made this special. Thinking back to how Episode 982 made me speechless though, I feel slightly let down but well. About 1000 episodes and six years in, boy this has been a long journey! First time for me reaching this milestone with just a particular series, and I can't wait for more! I joined this ride during Dressrosa arc around so that was about 300 episodes ago… Congratulations One Piece! |

| The remake of We Are was really nice. Although I caught up to OP only a couple of years ago, and I probably don't have a nostalgic attachment towards the series as most people do, the OP remake did get me a bit emotional lol. The episode was mostly standard stuff with noticeably above-average production values. I like the mini recaps they did for the Straw Hat members. If there's any time to reminisce about the past and show how far these characters have come, the time is now! The last couple of minutes were definitely very hype! I can't wait to see how Toei handles the adaptation of chapter 1000 when we get there. |

| The OG opening. The entire second half of the episode. That final shot. This is one of those few cases where I have no problem with how they padded out the content of the episode, I loved every fucking second of it. This episode was complete fanservice nostalgia porn. Congrats to One Piece on reaching 1000 fucking episodes!!! A crazy milestone, and here's to 1000 more!! (which doesn't seem impossible given the current state of things). |
