THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE.
----------------------------------------
Well, it's good to see the efforts of the team paying off for their video game making. I'm sure everyone learned a lot of from this experience.

Sure, there were quite a lot a bit of drama too and what a cliffhanger. Yikes. Next episode should be interesting.

The final game product that's still hung on many delays us about to be done, all for Tsurayuki's sake. But Kyoya having everyone to change the aesthetics at the very last minute, it looks as if that all the planning effort is all his, while Shinoaki, Nanako and Tsurayuki are nothing more than the actual talents credited to do this fine work to save Tsurayuki's ass, since Kyoya has the future in the palm of his hands. Despite the hunchbacks, everyone from the Fine Arts Study Group, Keiko, Kawasegawa and the Kitayama Share House is progressing nicely with Kyoya's direction, crunching every piece of time not wasted and debugging as best as they could.

All that's left is Kyoya's PR efforts to sell the game and see the responses in the usual Comiket fashion, and they've done a good job considering its success and the amount of profit earned. Shinoaki's gut instinct should've been a red flag for Kyoya, and Tsurayuki made his point clear with that by dropping out of school and leaving his writing skills altogether, just because Kyoya was an inspiration that to him, saved his ass many times, but felt like the target was constantly drifting away from him as a high hurdle. His pen name as Kawagoe Kyoichi was instantly flamed out, and that future is changed. Keiko...is the same character but illusive to Kyoya's efforts, seems like she knows a thing or 2 about Kyoya's time leap. The time leap back 10 years has beome a fractured failure.

The cliffhanger was what LN fans have been waiting for: Kyoya finally getting together with Shinoaki and having a child together with another time leap back 10 years in the future. In contrast, this truth has a lot of deep missteps, and next week's episode will be defo interesting.

Heh heh, I bet a lot of anime only watcher is going "wtf is going on" at the ending. Everyone is too dependent on Kyouya that they cannot improve by themselves...

Kyouya tried to fix everything up by destroying it.
The scene I don't want to see the most in this series had come, because I'm supporting Nanako. T.T hahaha ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

Just what am I feared of. Kyouya meddles them too much, he even crushed his idol's dream.

Keiko seems to know what's going on. And after that he came back to future. Surprise surprise, he's married to Shinoaki and has a child.

He sounds like a robot. "This is for the best" "This is for Tsurayuki's sake". I don't know how many times he's said it in this episode hafhah
The game is finally finished, everyone has worked non-stop c:

Ok so, how did Tsurayaki had that name if in theory he didn't know Kyouya in that present? 0.0
Wait, this ending... I don't know what to think, but I certainly didn't expect it. Next episode should be interesting 😂

And now the time shenanigans begins.

I can't believe how late he realized that even by doing nothing they would all succeed since that's how the future was... Like I called that since ep 1! And now thanks to his MC complex he effectively killed the future of his favorite creator. Great job kyoya. Must feel nice destroying someone's future while getting a beautiful wife in the process.

Okay so this episode was really great and it is finally time for the series to pick up. Even though I was kinda expecting one of the three to give up, I was still surprised. The series can really pick up if it is done right from here on. The ending was a great cliffhanger. Looking forward to what happened to tsurayaki's future. I wonder how did the pen name of tsurayaki contain kyouya in it before the time skip and also who exactly is keiko?😆😆😛

Wow that ending caught me offguard, holy smokes! So Keiko knows about Kyouya's time travel or possibly she might be a time traveler herself. Thou more importantly Kyouya is married to Shino Aki in the future and they even have a daughter. Yesss! hell yeah! I hope this is a legit future and no delusion.

The golden rule of time travel, that you see in literally every piece of media that revolves around the subject: NEVER MESS WITH THE PAST. The Platinum Generation succeeded in Kyouya's original timeline without ever meeting him, so of course in theory they wouldn't need his help to succeed here either. And now, Tsurayuki gave up and dropped out (I wonder though how he came up with his Kyouya-inspired pen name in the original timeline if he never met Kyouya in that timeline). I wonder if Keiko is a time traveler too, that final line she delivered in that eerie af rain scene seemed to imply that. And damn, that ending was unexpected. A sudden fast forward to 2018, with Kyouya married to Shinoaki with a kid lol. Things have definitely become a little more interesting.
People on MAL refuse to actually enjoy watching anime.

Your taste in anime isn't a personality trait.

If Kyouya messed up this future, how come the future Tsurayuki in the original timeline still has "kyou" in his penname? Does it refer to another? Or, did they encounter each other in the past of the original timeline? Time travel gives me a headache, must be the tachyons.

The episode gave me some Sakurasou no Pet na Kanojo vibes with the game making stuff and conflicts within the circle/group. Yet, I wasn't expecting that last part 😅 Kyouya's daughter is so cute, she looks just like her mom 😍 I guess Shinoaki's genes are stronger than Kyouya 😅

OK.

Back to thinking he's not the only one aware of the time stream being fiddled with; if not, that bit at the end was way too much of a coincidence for my comfort.
And given the comment being followed by what the comment asked about...not just aware of time stream hijinks, but maybe somehow involved with their occurring at all?

Next episode had better be interesting!

The future shown initially looks nice for our MC, but what's it like for the rest?
If it did get f'd up, options on another time slip and figuring out how to shift things back for the others without reverting to his original dismal life?
I'd really hate it if a happy future for the others was incompatible with a happy future for himself...because I don't want him to have to make that kind of epic sacrifice.
A happy future for all of them is what I'd like.
Even though it's not my ship, I'll admit that I don't want a change that results in the kid being wiped out of reality; she's an innocent bystander, I'm not big on collateral damage of that kind.

How does she know that Kyoya came from the future? :D BTW, I'm pretty sure Kyouya will come back in the past to change the future lol This anime is getting interesting, I'm looking forward for the next episode.

I kinda expected something like this to happen. Just not regarding Tsurayuki. That's why you don't mess with time leaping. Pretty juicy development. Gotta be hard on Kyoua, even tho Tsurayuki shouldn't have given up so easily.

One Piece episode 914 & 915 & 1027 were a mistake and 957 brought the salvation - FMmatron

I am guessing he'll go back to the past again or something, that's how it goes with this type of time travel stuff. And he's probably got infinite chances because well, plot convenience. At least we got to see MILF Aki.

Holy this episode was made so well, it's like the staff for this show have their own Kyoya.

I felt while watching this episode that they were making a point of having Kyoya do everything. It seemed as though everyone qualms about the decisions he was making, but ultimately followed through as they trusted him. Then when Tsurayuki is apparently quitting because of Kyoya’s amazing leadership ability it really brought the last few episodes together.

It also seems that Keiko knows about the time leap, or even the cause for it.

WHY COULDN’T HAVE IT BEEN NANAKO MAN. good on shinoaki though I guess, chasing her bag.

The choices of the past reflect on the future but something tells me that someone or something is just messing with the main for the time being.
I am guessing we might see a retry or at least another trip back in time with different result it might even take the same approach as a game.
If i retry happens again it might be like a route and this one was the Shino Aki route my guess is that next time we will get a Nanako or a Eiko route.
At least that's my theory.

Had bad vibes this entire episode and now I know why. Kyouya ruined (unintentionally) Tsurayuki's future. Because his direction was just too good.
The one thing I was confused about is if Tsurayuki was goign to have a Pen name based around Kyouya how were they conntected in the original time line? Or is his Pen Name in the original time line just a coincidence in regards to "Kyouya being number one"

Looks like he managed to nab Shinoaki and have a daughter with her though. Feel bad for Nanako.

Looking forward to seeing what happens next.

I broke after this episode...

Somehow Bokutachi no Remake has been on my mind a WAY LOT more than I expected. It was on 24/7 I couldn't wait for the next episode and all. The calm and chill slice of life acts as a double edged sword. One side can be fun and time wasting (in a good way).. but the other could destroy everything.

Episode 8 was the "oh fuck" moments of the entire series (aside from the revelations of Nanako, Shino Aki and Tsurayuki's future). It was SO FUCKING frustrating when at the end of the episode Kyouya realized he fucked up and there's no going back. somehow that made me empathize more with the series and the characters in general. Episode 7 was the start where things went... on the surface, right, but deep down, it wasn't. Episode 8, imo, is the start of the breaking up of the four mains (or maybe five) and if that's true, (LN and manga readers I forbid you) ... I won't be able to predict this show anymore and my life will be broken.

This review might be just for episode eight but I think I expressed my feelings and thoughts enough. Maybe I'll try writing a review again, meh, don't count on it, but I really do fucking love this series. I'm an amateur digital artist and seeing the struggles of different people like, Tsurayuki and Nanako, was too close to heart for me. Shino Aki is the one character I can relate the most...

Anyways, can't wait to cry my eyes out of frustration when episode 9 comes out!

Thanks for reading and have a nice day.

Nice, this is why you should never playing around with time.

These 3 are doing fine in the original timeline, so of course Tsurayuki somehow managed to solve his financial problem and became great writer in the original timeline.

If what you do in present and what he do in past are different, don't be surprised if some drastic changes occur.

Because season 2 isn't announced yet, I wonder if they will go with cliffhanger ending or anime original ending.

After a few stale episodes, finally a very solid episode.

The biggest complaints I had with the past few episodes were that there weren't enough focus on the game production side and that the time leap concept wasn't being utilized enough. Those problems were addressed with this episode, with Part A finally shedding a little more light on the game productions. Part B of course dealt with the time leap concept and with a nice cliffhanger ending.

Hopefully this show finishes strong with these last few episodes.

Lemme straight up say this, after 6 awful episodes, this was easily the second best episode of this series

The plot itself acknowledge how irrelevant kyouya was at the same time that acknowledge how he being perfect is a issue, he was a guy that tried to help people who would be famous without him, while trying to fit with him, so he ended up replacing one of them, the anime itself acknowledge how kyouya is a awful character and a issue to any story because he stole a spotlight that no one believes he deserved

Now i hope the anime properly treats this instead of making a happy ending, as this twist gave a small DDLC vibe

Ignoring the above, the other issues the anime had are still there, skipping romance development and also making said romance irrelevant, barely any proper progression we don't see any real character development as all of them are already geniuses (excluding Nanako small backstory which is not even a development because it would happen even without kyouya being there), poor use of environment and pretty generic art style and the plot hole of he making his name around someone he never meet

So this is what everyone was talking about, in the end time leap ended up as failure not for Kyoya but for the platinum generation and what was that Senpai told him at the end, does she knows about his time leap??

Lot of questions need to be answered, next week will be very interesting.
