| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- The old Joui rebels are back together and them kicking ass is awesome! Lol at Sakamoto translating more than he actually needed to. Lol, even when their all together and badass, we get a good chunk of comedy mixed into it. Lol at Gintoki’s “Fuck you” and Sakamoto translating it too literally to Takasugi. And poor Sakamoto got spit on by everyone. But the action is still awesome though, especially Gintoki and Takasugi teaming up. Everyone’s just so damn cool in this episode, especially when Gintoki’s old friends lets him protect his new friends. So Gintoki and Shinpachi split up to find Kagura. Oboro’s not in a great condition though… again. Meanwhile Umibouzu’s just wrecking shit up like usual and we finally get Kamui vs. Umibouzu. Kamui had no mercy for that poor lion guy, lol. That being said… holy shit that sword’s huge af! And I thought Guts’ Dragonslayer was huge, haha. That being said, the sword got wrecked up pretty quickly and the fight quickly changed into umbrella-to- umbrella combat. Great fight though, and the slight bit of Kamui flashbacks are nice. Also, another Gintama headbutt, lol. Ah, and now Kagura joins in, so now it’s Kagura vs. Kamui again. That being said, it does feel like as if Kamui’s been a bit nerfed in order for him to match Kagura’s level in the fight. I mean, Kagura’s been wrecking Kamui without her Yato mode on. Poor Umibouzu has to watch his children fight though. And the worst possible thing has happened… Utsuro’s here to fight Umibouzu. 4 chapters adapted again (chapters 574-577). Next episode's gonna adapt my favorite chapters from this arc (^_^) 5/5 |

| I feel like its all going so fast. Esp the fight between Kamui and Umibouzhu. Ending was hype when he was charging down with the rainbow color behind him lol. Yeah its time for the flashback origin of this lil Yato family. |

| Epic episode, OP change was a nice touch. :D The opening gag with everyone spitting on Sakamoto was freaking hilarious, Poor Sakamoto though. XD OST this episode was awesome, they used the Madao sountrack. :D How long has it been since they used that? Loved all the monologues of Takasugi, Zura and Sakamoto reflecting on the past, present and the future of the Joui 4. Zura's monologues were my favorite. Even if the 4 of them go their separate ways, doubt themselves, lose their paths and seek different futures, As long as they never stray from Shoyo's teachings, their paths will always converge. Simply put, Once friends, Always friends. :) Awesome moment with the Zura, Sakamoto and Takasugi telling Gintoki to move on and protect his new friends while they take care of things. The Yato action this episode was awesome, That Kamui entrance was epic as hell. Kagura. :D , Holy Shit! I totally did not expect her to fight back against Kamui like that, Wow. That Utusro entrance at the end with the rainbow dash was amazing as well, I really hope Umibozu doesn't die here fighting against him. :(( The long due Yato flashback is finally coming up, can't wait. :D |

Door of shinsengumi and the uniforms of shinsengumi members changes nearly every episode according to events in the episode. When i noticed that, i really respected all staff of gintama one more time.:) |

| On a side note though, I really cannot understand how an episode of this fucking unreal quality doesn't have 100% 5's ... It's not that I do care that much, but it's harder for me to understand how this shit could ever be beaten. I'm still in a state of shock after that UNREAL 2nd half. |

| Holy shit that was epic!!!! Kamui vs Umibozu! Kamui vs Kagura! Umibozu having to see his kids beat each other to a pupil definitely must be heartbreak. Kamui slicing that guy in half, and Umibozu one punching that ginormous cliff :O Last but not Least Utsuro's entrance was badass! It was pretty hilarious how the Joi 4 were communicating via spitting on sakamoto LOL This ended way too fast :((( |
| Well, here goes my favorite episode in this season so far. Really excited to see the outcome of this side plot. The approach on Kagura this arc is one of the things I'm more interested about. And indeed, Kamui made quite an entrance. Not better than Umibozu's badassery though (poor man has grown some nice death flags today). There's a feeling of tension among these three that I think tops anything we've had so far in the arc in terms of emotional attachment. Loved it. I liked the monologues in the first half, but this arc is making me immune to monologues and speeches at this point. Not this episode's fault, so I won't hold this against it. They were good, that's all I'll say here. |

| ahh everything is going too fast!! this arc is going at lightning speed! its good stuff, but I hardly get enough time to react to something before something else starts. I honestly was expected to feel more emotion when the Joi rebels finally reunited and with Kagura fighting Kamui, but I don't feel like they're giving me enough time to. The story is still good but I wish they would slow down. |

| WOW Fantastic episode. YOOO Takasugi running with the others in the OP. So cool LOL Sakamoto getting spit on. Awesome to see the Joui Rebels take down the Harasume. Kamui killed the 1st Division Commander. LOL DAMN Umibouzu vs Kamui is insane. Kagura not backing down & taking Kamui head on. Holy Shit Utsuro vs Umibouzu. Kagura's Mum next week. YAY. |

| Damnnnnn It's too hard to breathe after watching every gintama ep! AND IT JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER EACH WEEK! Hope I won't die out of air shortage after this arc. haha! The first part was indeed hilarious! Glad the four is back together beating some asses! -The whole spitting exchange scene! -Sakamato translating! Gin: F*ck you man! Sakamoto: Mr Takasugi he's basically sayin... He wants to f*ck you! HAHAHA! Sakamoto the best translator! - and The Old pals supporting Gin to protect his new ones The Stupid father and son stole the episode for me! YATO FAMILY SO BAD ASS! -Kamui slicing that commander lion in half!!! -Papi lecturing Kamui in the most bad ass way... ...............    Baldy's Lessons to learn -Don't throw things at people -Don't point sharp objects at people -and ofcourse! Don't call me baldy, Call me your cool-headed dad! - KAGURA! stopping Kamui! Her speech goes to show how much she has grown! "The kid sister doesn't exist anymore either! You're the only one who hasn't change" -AHHhh gotta love the monster yato family! their moments are so emotional seeing them breaking each others bones! - Its painful to watch Umi witnessing his son and daughter fighting to death, this scene just shatters my heart BUT GOD DAMNIT! UTSURO intervening the family battle! overall this was an AMAZING EPISODE! next week another legendary fight to happen! UMI vs UTSURO! and the intro of the queen!!! THE MASTER OF KOUAN! the babe in the OP! LOL! |

XD And Sakamoto's "he wants to f**k you" to Takasugi was priceless and probably appeased hordes of nosebleeding fujoshi Also, I can't be the only one who was just ridiculously emotional this episode, right? I mean, we've been waiting for the Joi four and Kagura's family to be reunited since the early episodes of Gintama...it got me teary-eyed! Especially the part where Umibouzu couldn't bear watching his kids fight :/ It's times like these where I feel like Kagura's really emotionally matured through her adventures with the Yorozuya crew. Kamui on the other hand, is just the same emotionally stumped boy he's been since childhood. He hides behind his physical strength and blocks out his emotions... That cliff hanger was brutal as well! Wondering who's gonna finish Shoyo off now- will Gin and Umibouzu hafta work together? And yessss!!! Next episode is the one I've been waiting for all along- Umibouzu and Kouka's past! |

Anyway as @jal90 said there was a feeling of tension, beginning from Kamui's entrance, that was lacking in the season for me. Utsuro's appearance capped it off, next episodes are going to be total hype. |

By the way, I thought they drew Kagura more mature in this episode. She looks more like a (beautiful attractive badass) woman. Something changed. | I'm definitely looking forward to Umibozu's epicness. Having at least one artificial limb must be a thing for the Yato. I wonder, how will he fare against Utsuro... Sakamoto getting abused was unexpectedly amusing. I was glad to see Kagura after a while as well. |

| Pretty badass episode. First the 4 Joui members joking and fighting together with each one having a monologue and then Kaguras Monster Family fighting each other. There goes the 1st division captain of the Harusame who was supposed to be the strongest of them all...what an entrance from Kamui. And finally we get the Kouka Flashbacks next episode. One of my favorite parts in this arc, yay. Napok said: The next episode Umi will say "Yep. I think I'm pretty strong." I really had Pitou flashbacks when Utsuro rushed down and cut off Umibozus arm... :O I wonder if that was intendional. It was almost exactly like the HxH scene. |

| The Yato family reunion. This side of Kagura is good to see. To be able to stand against her older brother and trying to bring back the family together again. If only they fought together... definitely a family no one could mess with. Looks like we'll finally see some backstory on Umibozu and arguably the most beautiful looking female in Gintama so far; Kagura's mother! |
