...HOW has no one mentioned that Sabame is heavily implied to be a monsterfucker yet? The way he hugged the moth demon, their conversation, the fact that the nightmare caterpillar has HUMAN ARMS?? Sure, this whole thing might turn out to be a red herring next week, but come on, while fan theories get debunked all the time, it doesn't mean we should stop making them! Especially when the circumstances are THIS, er, incriminating.

Also, I appear to be in the minority here, but I liked the priest's speech quite a lot. I mean, he's right; being financially secure DOES give you a lot more options. More importantly though, asking "what should Dororo do with his inheritance" leads directly to the question of "what should Hyakkimaru do with his life after he regains all his body parts", the answer to which will probably be a crucial aspect of the whole anime's ending ("probably", because he could always just up and die on us). Can't wait to see what's MAPPA got in store for us.

Well, it's true, what is Dororo and Hyakkimaru going to do after Hyaki gets his body parts back?

Anyways, it was an interesting episode for me with the giant ass baby monster and the Mothra-like demon seducing that village's lord. He's like Daigo 2.0.

I'm not really into the new OP but I like the visuals, especially the part when Hyakimaru's eyes are returned and he can finally see Dororo,I really hope they show that in the anime,.

As for the priest's conversation, I wrote an article about its inspration source when ep5 was released. My wording is totally broken English, tho.

Some people have complained that the priest appears and disappears for no reasons, but it had a vagues reason in the manga.

As much as this episode isn't as comparable as the past episodes, I think it's still pretty good though. The story and plot are still unfolding, and these encounters allows us to understand the world setting and the characters more. It'll be really exhausting to watch if the characters are constantly on "fire", chasing demons frantically just for us to feel excitement and plot progression. They are travelers too, so showing these encounters while they slowly discover themselves would make more sense to me (rather than full-on plot development).

I got the impression the children are hers and not the lords.

Not gonna lie, this episode was quite... Weird. It just felt really weird.
But one thing I love is Hyakkimaru's constant "I don't give a f*ck" attitude, if anything in his life can be ignored, he sure will try to ignore it
yeah I like his attitude but I don't like how he is ignoring dororo she cares about him and he should do the same 😣

So the "ambition" is actually gold that dororo's father has hid. But why are they saying it as ambition and what for? Is it supposed to help those after the war or himself? And how did she get the map on her back without knowing? It's not a tattoo because it's red and would have hurt. And it only shows when she's warm? I dont like thinking about what someone will do to get her warm to show the map.

The woman with the mad eyebrows was creepy. She looked like she never blinked just like lord Sabame. Idk who trusts a guy with weird bug eyes and never blinks. He is always watching ... waiting 👀. Someone did mention how he is going to some extremes to protect his land, not as much as Lord Daigo but he is messing with demons. Weird how Hyakkimaru didn't see them as demons though. I think those eyes though are the eyes of someone under mind control. Maybe that's what the powder is.

Every time the baby said num num, I thought it was saying ma ma just from the way it sounded and made me think, did it purposely cling to dororo because she's a girl? And why was it asking to be carried 🤔. I initially thought that the big baby was a combination of all the orphan's souls but i guess not.

Hyakkimaru "sleeping" with eyes wide open really got a laugh out of me.

Same, I appreciate the visuals but the song doesn't have the same kick or impact as the first one. I just hope that a romance doesn't start between them. Something about it does slightly rub me the wrong way.

Yeah, recently he's just one big walking mess, plus he seems really exhausted both mentally and physically (you can see his undereye circles in preview for ep 15, he actually looks like a walking corpse at this point). He clearly can't handle the situation he is in and is too reserved and emotionally unexperienced to search for help, which Dororo would give him and it's quite sad :/

You think they would stop accepting food/housing from weirdos. Also, are all Lords working for demons? Seems that way.

As it turns out, the lord's in cahoots with one of the Demons and currently enjoys a friends-with-benefits relationship with the moth lady. Dororo and Hyakkimaru always seem to end up encountering really friendly hosts with ulterior motives. Sabame's eyes were really unsettling and his story about the nunnery burning was as fishy as it can get. I'm sure that the giant kid monster was an amalgamation of all the children lost in the fire with that hideous lady ghost being the aforementioned nun. In any case, the ghost looks a lot younger than the nun in Sabame's side of the story.

It's a good thing that her mom's back tattoo was burnt into her memory since she's dead and all but they'll have to put aside their treasure hunt for a while since no one can see what's on her back for the meantime.

Refreshing episode it definitely mocks a lot about the main cast, especially Dororo, tackling her fate after Hyakkimaru hopefully gets his body back. More information about her back map was revealed, it could be anything, money, fame, power, ugh, this trned into Gold Roger's speech very quickly (One Piece).
This took an unexpected turn, those were some terrifying gigantic insert, still not as terrifying as the landlord's dead eyes.
It"s pretty cool to see neutral spirits roaming the world, it allows for much diversity.

Oh, so that's why Dororo's mom never slept with anyone else. Well, hiding the map definitely was one of the reasons.

A bit boring at the beginning but it picked up after the two arrived at the temple. Poor Dororo though, Hyakkimaru never listens to her...

Something is fishy about that lord... hope nothing bad happens =v= but I am always ready for more Hyakkimaru slaying monsters and demons!

... Was it just me or did anyone notice the sound was off when the caterpillar fell to the floor? And the lord's fingers while holding that demon woman was very weird too...

It was a ok episode. Nothing extraordinary...

One look at that Sabama dude and you'd know he's suspicious af. Just look at his creepy eyes. Anyway I think the reason why his soul is not completely red is because even though he may have killed some people he did it for the good of his own people. But still.

Wait....... that means Dororo had to find his mother's corpse to see the full map. They didn't even think about it.

Ain't nobody got time to think about a greater cause, let alone surviving in this hellish era.

So Dororo's dad ambition was written on her and her mom's back, probably also attributed to why she never did the 'night job'. Pretty sure that destroyed temple wasn't a nunnery but a slave camp for orphans. Kinda curious to what the deal was with the baby monster

The map is actually the hidden stash of a great fortune, not related to demons. Haha, my bad

I hope Dororo uses it for good, like her father wanted. And I hope Hyakki kills the demons and gets his body back. What happened wasn't right and it's not his fault if people suffer just because he wants to live normally. I wonder what the priest is up to with all these dire warnings.

I also wonder what the moth lady meant about the 12th demon being unable to devour Hyakki. Hrmm.

Finally an episode where this show picks up the pace/action.

(The unfortunate gal from the past few episodes kinda just ended up being a sidenote like Hachi sp from s1 of SAO. JK, I mean there's totally a headcanon to put some pieces of Hyakkimaru's humanity together.)

The demons/character development from this episode forward are some of my favorite so far.

There's a interesting drawing that I used to like. It features two pigs talking.

Pig 1: Isn't it great? We have to pay nothing for the barn.
Pig 2: Yeah! And even the food is free!

Underneath the comic was the phrase: "If you're not paying for it, you're not the customer. You're the product being sold."

That's what this episode reminds me of.
