| Looks and sounds pretty, but the story ...ugg, unconvinced. Very poor and rushed introduction, as it has become typical these days throwing all the important stuff at once for immediate shock value. Why am I supposed to care about a dead family the show didn't do anything at all to make me care for them. How am I supposed to feel sorry for the boy and the possessed sister or something. Also too much inner monologue and info dump. Not a convincing way to start, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. |
| Fantastic first episode! I already expected something like that, was really sad what happened to Tankitou's family, but also this setting was well executed! I almost teared up when Tanjirou while he was begging to not kill her sister, was so awesome when Nezuko protected him instead fo devouring him! I am really hyped for this anime! Loved this art and animation, alson soundtracks as background and OP is so fucking awesome! |

Not a convincing way to start, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt. so for you the author should have made more chapters about tanjirou and family to make the reader care for them,nah it's not necessary,it's redundant in this way,it works well in the way the author decided,btw in the manga is only 3 pages with the family,this is only the premise of the story,they adapted only the first chapter with this episode. |

| This was a nice first episode. The animation is pretty stunning so far. I feel pretty bad for that kid and what he had to come home to. And his sister as well. She seems so sweet and now she’s a demon. I’m interested in seeing where this anime goes and hope it gets better from here. |

| Animation and music is great. This scene gave me goosebumps.  Tokioka is a interesting character. So this anime will be the about Tanjiro's journey with his sister Nezuko to avenge his dead mother and siblings. Also to search for a way to cure his sister. I'm expecting good things. |

Ufotable dropped a good one now tbh Beautiful animation and art Amazing voice acting Great Characters, I liek Giyu a lot, some one who's strong but actually use brains and deciding the situation instead of just hack and slash the shjt out of everything they think is bad Great song too. | The animation, style, characters and his family dying in the beginning were the best parts. The concept of demons is kind of trite, seen it done many times before, but this series but execute it well since a lot of people keep hyping it up. For now storywise, I am not too convinced but I loved everything else. Of course, I will continue to watch it, needless to say, I have never read the manga, not sure if I'll have enough time to read it but hopefully I can. |

| Ufotable as always outdid even themselves lol This anime is top quality! The animation...everything! That was probably one of the prettiest ED i've seen! What a spectacular job. Now about the plot... What a sad way to start the episode :( Damn... I really hope he will find a way to heal his sister! |

| It has all the clichés. And it's a wonder that these two seems to be the only siblings ever who care about their families. But has good animation and soundtrack as expected from Ufotable. |

| Why so many hype on this shit? Okay ufotables always does a good job, the animation seems good. But when i look to this stupid cliché plot i want throw up. This is not AOTS material or can only be because this season is one of the worse in the anime history. Cant eve compare to the last oene with dororo, neverland, mob II, shield hero, such great animes. |

| Wow ... that was really good. I didn't know what to think of this anime. I've not read the manga or heard of it at all, just read the blurb on here and it sounded interesting. Stellar opening episode. I hope the rest of the season is as good. |

| The big eyes threw me off for a little bit, but the episode was pretty solid. Gruesome seeing his dead family which was really sad. Hopefully gonna see him become a legendary demon slayer. |

| Yuki Kajiura has outdone herself with the score. It is seriously gorgeous and epic. I like the animation. It is fascinating how tragic the death of the family felt. We saw very little of the family but it was enough to make me care. We will see how it goes but so far I rather like it. |
| I was looking for a more serious shounen anime to watch, and this seems like it'll satisfy my needs. It's super pretty looking and isn't something I've ever seen before, which doesn't say much coming from me, but it's worth noting. The action scene with Tanjirou throwing the hatchet was awesome, and I hope we get to see a lot more of it. I enjoyed Tanjirou's character design (love his earrings) and I'm curious to know how he got his scar. This episode also shows that he has a lot of potential for exciting character development! All in all, I'm pretty excited to see how the story develops. p.s. I love a good revenge story, hoping to see Tanjirou kick some demon butt. |
