| Shounen for sure. I refuse to watch most Anime that are tagged as "Seinen," as I know that I likely won't enjoy them, except for a very small rare few. As I like to say, if it's aimed toward adults, it ain't worth watching. |

| I definitely watch more Shounen, probably read it too, but i'm always looking for Seinen....yeah seinen. I could name dozens of shounens i enjoyed that i think would be over 9000 x better if they were made Seinen |

But there are shounens like Ashita no Joe, Nisegarbage, Silent Voice, GTO, Sankarea, Pandora Hearts, Seitokai Yakuindomo, Tasogare Otome x Amnesia, Love Hina, Beck, To Love-Ru, Bakuman, Tsubasa Chronicle, Gin no Saji, Black Cat which aren't some teenagers shouting. |

Thinking about it, how could the other "major subgenres" which exist into shounen be grouped up? -Romance/harem/ecchi -Sports -Comedy/parody ? (only the major groups, obviously there are more genres, but not all of them form a visibly big group) |

| Contrary to my age, I prefer Shounen. I tend to like much more action-oriented shows with light-hearted stories, it doesn't need to be Battle-Shounen but normaly are because those kind of shows have much more action than others. |

| Pretty indifferent though I would like to see seinen titles be able to stand toe to toe with shonen when it comes to popularity. I guess when it comes to pure stuff in my favorites shonen though I will blame that more on the fact many seinen series don't get many or many good anime adaptations. Though like others established this is just the age demographic which varies up what is there both in character age and what the content is based on genre. Seinen can for example be anything from Berserk to Amaama to Inazuma or shonen from stuff like Attack on Titan to Koe no Katachi or GTO. They aren't really genre's you can be still a fan of shonen and not like battle shonen's at all for example. |

| I don't have a single Seinen in my Top 10 but a lot of Shounen in it. But it doesn't tell the whole story as I have loved some Seinen anime as much as I loved shounen. Also, Seinen is always about gore and violence is a huge misconception. Seinen comes in all forms Romance, Comedy, Slice of Life, School, Sports, Game, Fantasy, Historical, Ecchi. Non Non Biyori, Hidamari Sketch, Emma, Uchuu Kyoudai, PLANETES, 3-Gatsu no Lion, One Outs, D-Frag, Giant Killing, Tonari no Seki-kun, Aa! Megami-sama!, Kiniro Mosaic, Otome Youkai Zakuro, Chobits, Rozen Maiden, Ikoku Meiro, Bartender, Bamboo Blade, Taishou Yakyuu Musume, Hanayamata, Mangaka-san to Assistant-san, Joukamachi no Dandelion, Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha, Shuffle!, Gingitsune, Mikakunin de Shinkoukei, B-gata H-kei just from the top of my head. All of these are Seinen. Likewise shounen comes in all forms as well and not just battle and sports. For me, both are equally enjoyable. I prefer to judge an anime on the content (primarily for character and story, secondarily for plot and animation) and not the demography it has been targeted at. So, I am abstaining myself to vote for one. |

| I always find myself thirsting for a good seinen, so I went with that. Only problem is that I find myself disappointed by a lot of interesting looking series not being scanlated. |

But what can I do when most of the really enticing josei manga only ever get Live Action at best (not to say I didn't love the likes of Hachimitsu to Clover or Nodame Cantabile). And I have seen so many shoujo manga that could rival popular shounen adaptations never seeing the light of adaptation that I don't want to go there. Just like the misconceptions with shounen and seinen demography, shoujo is largely considered overly girly, too fluffy and only about good looking boys, unpopular girls, totally mean male leads etc. which are not the case, because most of the adapted anime are based on those kind of manga. |
