| Whew, that first Futari wa episode. The oldschool mahou shoujo vibe is strong with this one. The combat was interesting in that that's more or less exactly how you would expect someone with super strength who has absolutely no idea what they're doing to try to fight. Just charge in and tackle that sucker if you can't hit him, lol. The Cures' dynamic is almost the opposite of what I expected it to be. I figured Black would be a lot more assertive and aggresive with White being more subdued and submissive, but it turned out that Honoka/White just rolled with everything and took to it while Nagisa/Black was basically dragged into it kicking and screaming. It was a fun start overall. |
