The foreshadowing of either Orga's or Mika's death was strong in this one. It was really just a matter of who. I really wanted to believe it wasn't going to happen because we're finally at the end of all of this and maybe the dynamic of things might change. But no; Orphans stays true to its strict rules of killing off its characters. (Iok is excused due to his plot armor. :( )

Once I saw Orga walk out, I immediately thought about Lafter (which was honestly the most surprising death in my opinion) and just knew that the same thing would happen to him.

Why do they do this??? They make you dread finishing each death-pisode with their obnoxious foreshadowing!

It just felt like a set up to grant Mika a reason to go berserk in the up coming episodes.

I thought they would eliminate Mika's character at the end of the season, didn't seem like there was a reason for Orga to go too.

He literally used Tekkadan to get rid of Carta Issue in the first season. It would not at all be out of character for him to send men for a hit, or get Gordon or someone to do it for him.

Wow, this episode blew me out of the water. Orga is dead. I'm not even mad, that's just fuckin' incredible. Let's face it, it was gonna happen sooner or later. Iron-Blooded Orphans has killed characters left and right, and with Orga biting it the viewers finally understand no one is safe. Star Wars, The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones are killing major characters previously thought to be untouchable, why should Gundam be any different? Sure, people are gonna be upset for days and will probably rush to their keyboards and fix what happen here. But they should probably think about it for a second. This is a show that has dealt with the brutal realities of war, one of those realities is victory through sacrifice. Ceres Wunderkind once said "A sacrifice has to be complete and irreversible if it is to have any meaning." Now, as the final two episodes are on the horizon, we wonder: who is next?

"I'm the boss of Tekkadan. Orga Itsuka. This is nothing to me. Protecting my members is my job. Shut up and let's go. Everyone's waiting. Besides...I finally understand, Mika. We don't need any destinations. We Just need to keep moving forward. As long as we don't stop, the road will continue. I know. I'm not stopping. As long as you all don't stop, I'll be at the end waiting for you. So hear me well. Don't you ever stop." - Orga Itsuka, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron Blooded Orphans.

This speech will sit with me for a long time. I actually have rewatched this scene at least 6 times now and I'm still heart broken at what happened. RIP Orga, you were definitely one of my favorite characters and the spirit of Tekkadan itself ;_;

The Gundam: IBO formula works again:

- Create good and bad characters
- In the moment you need to raise the stakes, select one character to kill
- Selecting the bad characters is too dumb so give them heavy plot armor
- Now select a good character
- RAISE YOUR (DEATH) FLAAAAAAG!!!!!!!
- Put the budget in his death scene
- Take the story and the characters into RAGE MODE
- PROFIT

Sooooo Mika's going to go freaking nuts in the next episodes. I'll look forward to see him truly going berserk.....I almost feel bad for Rustal, but not really. Mika's first victim will probably be Iok, since the bastard seems to be alive only for the most glorious of kills to happen

Well... yeah. As if previous deaths didn't give that message already (along with previous Gundum shows)? Biscuit was a major character and he died. Shino was another major character and he died. Lafter suddenly gets killed out of nowhere, and she, along with Amida (who also died) and Azee are a couple of the most focused women of the Turbines. Naze was a major character who also got killed.

Its so obvious McGillis did this so that mikazuki will join him. Best episode of the season, i don't why some idiots say its bad because a character died. This is what brings it to an end. I can't beleive people thought he would still be alive after this.

I knew Orga was going to die as soon as he stepped outside that door. Too many death flags was being thrown so it was only a matter of when. Mika will also most likely die in a berserk fight with Rustal and Arianhord.

He didn't ask Tekedan to assasinate Carta, the only thing he did is to point out where tekedan is to Carta and she went there to fight because she believe that Tekedan escaping her troop tainted her "honor".

He did manipulated her, but he didn't used underhand method like having your spy infiltrate your enemies and use forbidden weapons so that it will become legal for you to use it against them, have a maid monitoring every activity of someone, have a spy creating a civil war in order to get ride of an organisation etc...

If McGillis did have used such method, i believe he wouldn't be in this crappy situation to begin with, and also don't forget he believe in "Authority, Might and Force", that the main reason he went to get the Gundam Bael, because he thought that since Bael is the embodiment of those, Gjallarhorn would have kneel before him. And not having all of them against him.

I'm not saying that what i said about him is 100% truth and that your vision of it is wrong, since we're speculating about it. But i believe that he is better than this and that he wasn't lying about getting ride of Gjallarhorn corruption.

But if it turn out he was another "Rustall" and that it was his doing for Orga assassination, i'll go cry a river in a corner, and lose hope in gundam ibo ending.

I was going to postpone watching the show but when I saw 113 + comments I knew something important happened and boy something really big really occurred...

Damn, it was Orga turn to go ahead of the guys... I not going to pretend that he was an angel but he did things trying to protect his family and he died doing the same... R.I.P.

Glad to see Azee & Turbine members doing well. It is sad that their help for some of Tekkadan guys would not come in time (I think most of them are going to choose to fight now [avenge Orga] and die in the process, part of sleaze-ball Rastall plan like the time Tekkadan choose to fight when Naze, Amida & Lafter died...

Talking about this motherf*cker, Rastall is rotten to the core... but he is dumb as f*ck he killed the owner of a rabid dog, he technically unleashed the leash on Mika, he better be prepared to pay with his life the only thing that maybe is going to hold back Mika is his relationship with his child (I think he wants to see his child grow and possibly have more thus a big family) but other than that he is going to go on a rampage on Gjallarhorn Rastall faction... Better prepare that lube!

Orga's death is literally the most retarded thing this series has ever done.

That was probably the most WTF death in the entire series, half of me made me go fuck and the other half laughed my ass off.

Its like the writer wants to kill off everyone in the main cast but doesn't know how to write it properly, though Shino's death was fucking brilliant.

And Iok surviving again?

Jesus fuck that's so cancer.

Welp it's official, this show has gone to shit. Like what the fuck? This is basically a series of rushed character killings just so the series can have a conclusive end and not go over the typical episode count for most gundam shows. Yep, I'm just gonna mentally check out and watch how this derailed train wrecks itself in the end.
Don't believe the hype.

This episode was awesome. It sucked that they killed off Orga, but they had to. He had his story arc. Now's the time to let Mika out of the cage and see what a person he really is - and I don't mean it in some "he's gonna be pissed off and badass while killing the bad guys" kind of way. No. HE. WILL. HAVE. TO. CHANGE. To survive. To live.

I love this show SOOOO much!!!

I practically LOL-ing at everyone who claimed that IBO has turned to shit just because protags died left and right and the antagonist have their winning stride thanks to both superior resources and cunning planning by Rustal.

Have you never seen good gangster and crime movies before that IBO followed? The Godfather? Scarface? Goodfellas? Road to Perdition? In Cold Blood? Watch them and come back to IBO to understand what the writer is going for here. Even though they will probably make the ending less gruesome compared to those gangster movies since IBO is still a Gundam show for teenagers and young-adults.

Hoppy said:
it's also kinda generic to see a typical drive by killing off characters instead of the bombings and such in earlier episodes.
Why use bombs if cheaper bullets can do the job just fine? I like how pragmatic the villains in IBO are. They only use the "big guns" only when it's really necessary instead of being larger-than-life James Bond villains who make "fireworks" out of everything.

@All the nay-sayers

Do you even know how lives end? In 99,99 % of cases they end abruptly, without the person dying choosing to die or prepare for it. 99,99 % of those who die knowing they will, or that are concious while dying, probably don't want to accept it. This is reality and this show does a hella great thing portraying it that way. For example - I loved the scene where Aston died. He regreted it and he hated it. He didn't want to die and hated that he regrets not living his life to the fullest.

And I now officially think that Iok is immortal. He cannot die no matter what he takes and how much anyone wants him to. lmao

Man i hate noticing death flags i'm still shocked that it happened before the finale though Lafter hit me harder but this was real close out right assassinations are messed up.

Fareed was great i wonder if he foresaw the events happening and that was his reasoning behind saying their plan works out for him since with Orga gone Mika will fight freely

I was not shocked by this seeing how this episode paned out.

Specially the fact that they were trying to escape everything. Thats not how gundams should be.

Now Mika will just go and slaughter everything. He might die as well. But Gallarhorn for sure will fall because of this. That nobliss gordon too.

2 episodes might be short do it all though

I have expected Orga to die since first season but even after all the death flags i was a bit surprised too see it happen this episode, expected it to be in the next one or maybe in the finale; in any case it´s a shame that he died before getting Tekkadan to safety, good thing he didn´t die while regretting that but rather was saying hopeful things.

I totally want Mika to know of what happened while in battle, the following destruction would be something to remember (unless he loses his drive or something like that, i hope it´s not the case).

The way he died was bullshit too I was hoping it would be him going down with the ship like a badass in the midst of the final battle, but nope SHOT IN THE FUCKING STREETS LIKE A DOG LIKE MY GURL LAFTER. FUCK YOU.

Meh I still am enjoying this season, but its not as good as the first one. This is just a messy trainwreck from beginning to end especially after they joined Mcgillis.

What the FUCK! I kinda sorta expected this but not like this. Not like this!

Mika is going to murder. Nothing will survive.

Orga goes out like a true hero. Protecting, realistically, an average member of his team because he is simply a member of his family.

Still...I expected a more grandiose way of Orga checking out but maybe this was a more poetic way given what I said just above. Some of the character deaths have been a little conveniently inserted instead of perfectly placed which does kinda sour the whole experience.

And yet.....Iok is still fucking alive.

I don't know if this has been confirmed or not, but the wiki said, Orga is "Presumably Dead". For those hitmen, it's either nobliss who hired them or McGillis who is trying to use Mika to the death. This episode is too smooth and already discomfort me, Orga will possibly live...but if he's dead, then the ending will be either all Tekkadan members wiped out or the MS Pilots sacrifice their lives to save the ones inside the tunnel so that they can escape.

I have the feeling the one that shot Orga is Mcgillis' men, after all he is the only one that knows where, and when orga is going... Not even Rustal knows. The timing is just too perfect. OR it could be because they are so stupid that they keep wearing that TEKKADAN jacket in the open even though their are being pursued

To be honest, after the whole Lafter ordeal, Orga dying isn't as surprising. I meant, deserted town, while a major military operation happening next door = Perfect assassination setting. I'm willing to bet the one behind this is that rich fatass old man Gordon. Fucking always hated his guts.

Well, hot damn. Sad to see Orga gone. Wonder what's next? To be honest, I would've preferred an all-out ending, where they went and faced off against that army.

Um, okay. Does this mean that Kudelia is already Mikazuki's woman now? The fact that both she and Atra kissed him on the cheek before leaving means that she agreed to be part of their family, right? I'm sorry but I see this as out of character for Kudelia. Yes, she loves Mikazuki but I didn't think she'd agree to be in a polyamorous relationship with him and Atra. She did promise Mikazuki to protect Atra and their baby but I take it that she also agreed to be part of the family. Honestly, I think Orga was a better fit for Kudelia but of course I never thought it'd happen as Kudelia is obviously in love with Mikazuki. Sad but I liked their last interaction in this episode.

Honestly, the storyline feels like someone wanted to make history with a threesome "ending", I don't think you can really apply common sense to Okada's writing it, considering Mika and Kudelia's personalities and the (poor) chemistry/interactions within them. She actually had more chemistry with Orga yeah lol.

Yes, Mikazuki/Kudelia feels way too forced at this point. It's as if they want to include Kudelia no matter what. There's even no chemistry between the two. I wouldn't go and say that Mikazuki loves Atra as I don't think he comprehends the meaning of love but I guess he relates to her more than to Kudelia given their similar background. I think Mikazuki and Kudelia are from totally different worlds.
And wasn't Kudelia supposed to move on and just think of Tekkadan as whole as a family? Did Atra really convince of her of becoming part of the family? I still find it out of character for her but oh well.

Bael was awesome. Again, the idiot Iok's plot armor is so annoying.
Tekkadan received a couple of help which gave them a way to probably survive their current situation.

When Mika said to return his gun to Orga when his back, I already sensed a death flag from it. Lafter died from guns and now Orga too. :(
How will the rest of Tekkadan do now with their leader gone.
How will Mika respond to this?

Looking forward to the next episode.

So Id-Iok is still kicking and as much as that frustrates me there was so much else going on this ep that I'm just going to accept that he's gonna live forever, like a cocroach.

Orga's death flags were raised so high from so many places, taking Mika's gun, successfully making it to Chryse, the plan falling into place. But that empty street was one of the biggest for me, of course something was going to go down.

Kudos to the guy though, multiple bullet wounds and he keeps walking, pointing and then even his blood points to Tekkadan moving forward. RIP Boss, you'll be missed.

Looking forward to seeing how Mika reacts (inb4 full on beserker rage) and whether McGillis will move in to try and manipulate him now that Mika's rock is gone.
