| I was sold with the patinage and the fujobait but I wasn't sure to keep watching it until the real end of that episode. I think Victor will be a funny character and the MC having food issues is interesting to see. I love both the OP and the ED but I'm not really into the OP's art though... It's a bit repetitive with no background. But I'm not going to spit on the originality :3 |

| I love it so far. The animation, OST, everything. I like how Japanese Yuri got fat, makes it seem more realistic. I think it's hilarious how Russian Yuri is all "punk" when the motherfucker is a fucking figure skater. It's not exactly a profession you'd think a "punk" would be in. I'm sure there are cases of horrendous bullying and ostracizing in the figure skating world but Russian Yuri seems way too over-the-top and I feel like they want to make him seem more masculine by giving him a rough personality. Japanese Yuri's crush married the guy who bullied him lol I'm sure Japanese Yuri will find a Russian girl, Japanese girl, or Japanese-Russian girl or whatever... or who the fuck cares about girls, women are overrated. It's all about the gayness. He has so many beautiful, sexy men around him, I think he'll find it hard to resist. Of course, it wouldn't be a comment by Bibimbapski if I didn't state how much yaoi and gay buttsecks potential this had. Russian and Japanese Yuri, think of all the secks. |

| Honestly I kinda hated this episode. I was expecting something a lot more... I donno, "artsy" in tone if that doesn't seem too pretentious? Something a bit more introspective and thought-provoking than this. I found the comedy bits to be weird and eh, and the fact that half the characters don;t fit the art-style is just weird. The skating scene near the end of the episode was absolutely beautiful, and I love the OP and ED, but the focus on comedy really puts me off unfortunately. :/ |

| This was one of the most anticipated fall animes and I have to say I love it already! I've always been interested in figure skating because of my grandmother and fell in love with Yuzuru Hanyu. But to have an anime about figure skating is awesome! The animations are beautiful and the opening and ending are wonderful! The art is really nice too. The puppies are adorable! I love Victor so much now xD That ass though in the hot spring. As much as I love to ship gay couples, this anime holds a lot more value than the gayness it might contain LOL One complaint I have though is usual of foreigners in animes. No way in real life can such a large percentage of foreigners just randomly speak such fluent Japanese but of course this is anime. So far loving the anime! |

| Well, that first episode was mind-blowing. I don't think I need to say more than what's already been discussed here. Lovely animation, dope ending theme, great characters (the triplets will probably forever crack me up), and a nice mix of plot and PLOT. AOTS if not AOTY with all of the hype it has gotten. I can't wait to see more! |
| You really, really, really, REALLY are Izumi Shinichi-kun, right? Or no, maybe that was just Kirito ice skating. Breathtaking start, the skating is just so mesmerizing and took my full attention captive. The humor was unexpected but still a refreshing contrast of lightheartedness, such as when Yuri is reminded that he missed out on things such as romance because of his obsession to become just like Victor. |

| sigh...........i told myself i would wait until all episodes are out but i just couldn't wait so far, amazing. i can't imagine how they can screw this up. likable characters, interesting plot, and ice skating but i'm mostly excited because of the whole Russian thing, i'm Russian myself so i'm interested to see how they will show the culture. so far, pretty standard. the young Yuri is what you would normally see in Russia haha |

| Love everything in the first episode! All the characters are likable and have traits and not stereotypical. The music in this is beautiful and light and the animation is gorgeous. 10/10. A++ |

| Enjoyed the first episode. It was interesting to see two completely different Yuris and I never expected Victor to be Yuri's coach. That last scene with Viktor in the hot springs was not necessary, though. Nice start. |

| It's entertaining, but I've got a fair amount of complaints. The background/supporting characters are very loud and unnecessarily rude to Yuri. Also, I know this show is supposed to be fujoshi bait, plus Yuri's childhood friend girl is already taken, but...dammit, I ship it! :( On the positive, the animation is quite good and I'm interested in seeing how Victor helps Yuri improve. 6/10 for this first episode. |

| I love how expressive this anime is. The first scene with child and mature Yuri admiring Victor skate alone in the moonlight just paints a layer of mystery and sensual wonder. I can't remember how many times I've replayed the OP sequence just to listen to Dean Fujioka's 'History Maker' and see the fluidity of the ice skating animation blend perfectly in with the unique calligraphy animation style. It is one of the simplistic yet visually stunning OPs I've ever seen. The use of lighting and camera angles during Victor's ice skating sequences is also breathtaking, and what made this episode for me was the surprise of having Yuuri mimic Victor in private and have it be uploaded onto the net within a matter of hours. The use of technology in this series is real, it's amazing! |

| the first time i watched this i was seriously underwhelmed. i've been waiting for an ice skating anime for so long, i don't know, maybe i wanted something more serious? but it's okay as a first episode. just decided to give it another chance after it got so big everywhere. everyone i know is talking about it (and there's this ship i'm waiting to see, so i had to give it another try). i really like yurio. i already feel like he's gonna be my favourite character. but even i, free trash and everything, was wtf victor when his ass came into the screen and well, okay, i'll have to wait and see. |
