| From the looks of it, I think Chizuru is the subject 001. Considering the fact they're pushing this ship, meaning that they're trying to make it less creepy as possible. Not to mention that Chizuru is a loner who is observed by Yoake for some reason last episode. |

| I've watched this multiple times now and I still do not know what Ryo meant when he said "Half was the truth and Half was a lie" in episode 6. I mean I think everything An said was the truth, so I'm still confused. |

| Animation quality is starting to noticeably tank. I'm beginning to come to the conclusion that my enjoyment of this series is directly proportional to the amount of screentime the "adults" get and while this episode essentially broke no new ground, learning more about Yoake's perspective of things was more than interesting enough to carry the episode. Also it's a much needed breather from the relentless drama the show has been throwing at me since the third episode. I do hope the pace picks up from here on out though and maybe there will be some more focus on the more interesting characters like Hishiro and Arata, you know, the fucking MC. |
| Good history episode of what happened for Yoake to get here. I feel bad for Onoya. She really wanted to be Arata's support, but she ended up being supportive for Yoake instead :( Would really love to see what kind of character Test Subject 001 was and see why it is he failed :0 Like maybe he was too worn out or boring or uninterested... |

| Dat flashback. #1 is calling. Arata working. An. Other branches? #1 failed. Ryo was watching Arata. LMAO at Ryo calling An a baban. lol Ryo intentionally didn't tell Arata. PG with another great song. I'd say I wasn't expecting that, but with TMR and L'Arc for example, I'm not surprised. |

| that beginning was pretty leading. Subject #1... Hishiro? I'm SO CURIOUS WHO IT WAS. The wallet test was sweet :-) The repetitive flashback of introducing Kaizaki to ReLife was pretty unnecessary imo, just filler. It was a very slow episode and I felt like it didn't really move the story forward that much. |

| Now I understand why Yoake and Kaizaki made that face when An held Kaizaki's arm in the OP... Sigh... Yare yare... Corporation, in a nutshell, if you try too hard, they tell you to hold back. If you held back, they force you to try harder. What the actual ffffffu- This ep is basically An's and Yoake's backstory along with a few events prior to Kaizaki waking up as with the appearance of a 17-year-old teen. HOWEVER! Didn't he just asked for medicine to alter his appearance to that of a 17-year-old teen?! Wait... What? Did ReLIFE originally just intended for Kaizaki to just enter the university as an adult man? Or maybe I'm just overthinking it... |

| I generally liked it, but the scene where Kaizaki returned to his "adult self" temporarily, and then returned to school life was ridiculous. It wasn't in the manga, and it messed with the "continuity" of the high schooler's memories being forgotten when the program is finished. It's weird that the program would allow something like this... it's not nice when the anime makes up scenes that do not coincide with continuity maintained within the manga. This was my problem with the Steins;Gate OVA (Egoistic Poriomania). But otherwise, it was nice to have a full flashback episode! |

| wow i actually really liked this episode 5/5 for me & i usually get bored of episodes that are flashbacks but this was really well done & so much more interesting! i really prefer this part of the story way much more than their mundane high school happenings - i know the development takes place there & it's integral to the test subjects' experiments but i really like the overall premise & so glad we found out more in this episode! also made me see yoake in a new light, the emotional scenes were great & the OST really stood out this episode actually i've been thinking all along that yoake & an also took the pill or something coz they are the same/around the same age as kaizaki, so how have they been appearing young enough to be a high school student (and he has been one the previous year too)? if kaizaki had to take the pill to "appear younger" is an just donning a simple disguise of pigtails & geeky spectacles? i don't get it. they just look young??? and kaizaki doesn't? he's the same age???? ok scratch that my point exactly why this episode is great they even answered that i just realised their adult selves are kinda cute ehe. wish the character designs were a little more distinct i actually still can't really tell the ages apart & oga & yoake apart, apart from their hair/colour lol |

| A flashback episode but fully from the perspective of Yoake, showcasing his struggles with the first test subject and furthermore, how he met Arata and became his support as Arata prepared to become the next test subject for the ReLIFE project with hopefully much better results. The show hasn't gone enough to the reporting side of the story as it focused more on flying through the content and focusing on the characters that Arata bonds with, so this was in a sense, a much needed episode to build on the project side of things despite the rushed and thrown in nature of it. I'm still enjoying the anime a lot but 24 episodes at least, definitely sounds better than 17 for this show (including the final arc episodes too). Also, rate the ED song choice again with the Porno Graffiti track. Classic banger as usual. |
| Glad to see Yoake's backstory, I like him. So I guess the failed subject wasn't An, but it seems like it doesn't matter who she was, story-wise. I was starting to believe that Chizuru was the subject since they were both in the class last year and he said the subject ended up not doing anything, but it doesn't make sense why she would still be young. I still didn't get why Yoake was so sad after the failed subject since he wasn't fired for it given that he got to be the support again. I guess he wanted the subject to succeed, but failed. |

| I'm just glad that Yoake recognized Kaizaki's good nature from their first encounter, tho it made it that much more sad how he turned out. A certain someone keeps being guessed to be 001 but imagine if it were a curveball all along like Oga, that volleyball captain or that sporty guy that simps for her. |
