Was really disappointed when watching this. The story is really, really weak and doesn't even have a proper story to begin with. It's more like an excuse to start something but even with this they didn't even have a good one to finish with. Nonetheless since I like DAL very much it wasn't all in waste.

We got a lot of cute moment from the character. Not much scene for Mana and Kurumi. Was hoping they play a big part in this also. Well I wasn't expecting more from Origami since she is not in the zone of the character that I like. And.... Mayuri is a side character. WOW... *facepalm “(>แƒš)”
Wonder why the title is Mayuri Judgement. God I hate criticizing an anime that I like.

Seeing all the girls each going on a date with Shido was rather nice. The ending was rather predictable and I really couldn't feel bad for Mayuri considering she doesn't even speak for more than half the movie.

I liked the part where everywhere had a chance to shine with the date with shido. However some of the dates were kinda repetitive.

Then after halfway the movie just went all haywire and I had no idea what the hell happened.

It was really cool how he gave the rest of them their powers back so they are all at full power.

With the whole Marui thing it wasn't really that good cause they really just met.

One thing I didn't like was that they brought all of the powers from the two seasons and put it into this movie action thing without explaining anything even though it was cool.

That Origami, the little screen time she had she used it well. Poor girl gets caught in the trap lol
And then her "tchh" sound she makes when her friends find her and she runs away. Loved that scene.

I didn't really like Mayuri as she mostly was shown stalking Shidou. But her other design looked real good.

The dates overall were good, to me I liked Yoshino's more. The way she blushed was cute.
There was another scene where Yoshino was so adorable, during Kotori's hamburger dinner. She was eating and then turns around and gives a thumbs up while her cheeks had hamburger sauce, so hilarious and cute.

Overall the fight scenes in the last part of the movie were good, although I sort of hoped Kurumi would get in the action.

I enjoyed the first half. It wasn't bad, it answered to fan-service calls and for that reason alone I enjoyed it. However, if I took this critically, the movie is pretty meh. It focused on fan-service a lot and didn't carry much substance in the plot. The whole action scene at the end felt loosely connected and weak. I understand why they put it in, but I would have preferred it if they had instead taken the time to not just make it fan-service, but also make Mayuri into something. Seeing Shidou go absolutely crazy about a girl he has known for only a few minutes seems weird to me.

I don't mind the fan-service, but I think a higher quality movie could have been made around Mayuri while adding some fan-service in other parts or cutting them down somehow to give more attention to Mayuri, our big mystery character who is never really developed or given a proper atmosphere as a mysterious character.

Meh, it was ok nothing above average to be honest. I liked the dates, thought they were all cute. The ending was kind of like a wtf moment for me. It came out of nowhere.

Also did anyone else think of "Vroom, Vroom, look mommy its the bullet train!" <Mayuri dies a million times> "MAYUUUUUUUUUURIIIIIIIII!!!!"

Like Shidou seemed just as disturbed losing this rando girl almost as much as Okabe did for Mayuri lmao. Like dude, get over yourself, you knew the chick for 1 minute literally and your freaking out over here like she's the love of your life. Also you have all those other cuties, you just seem like a selfish prick at this point wanting to add more girls to your harem than actually being genuine.

I really love Date a Live, and it is painful to criticize something i like... How do you freak out of losing someone you just barely met, Even if you take mayuri Out of the movie, it would still make sense( Or will not make sense cause it's flat out a filler of a movie). Ball appears, Shidou dates all the girls to make the ball disappear, plan fails and ball goes on a rampage, They combine forces to destroy the ball.. Even if you take out mayuri out of the context, The entire movie's story will still be intact, That's how bad of a side character Mayuri has become..

This was actually better than I had expected, more than the DAL Season 2 crap from what I remember. The dates are cute, my favorite is the one with Miku just because of how silly it turned out to be.

Glad to see the movie added Kurumi in it as well.
Origami's plan at the hospital was priceless. She sure moved around like a healthy person LOL

I didn't like Mayuri much, her personality is lacking and besides her design, I didn't find much appealing about her in general. Her character's presence is pretty much a plot device.

Also glad they used season 1's OP song. The rest was story for the remainder 30 minutes imo was dull, wasn't really into it at all. The character designs in particular the battle outfits were nice though. 6/10. Still better than season 2.

I've waited six and half a month. I couldn't watch it yesterday because it was already too late so I was dying from excitement in the school. I sprinted home to watch it as soon as possible. But you know, it was worth it.

The first part was so cute. Everybody had cool unique dates and it was just awesome. And there was one part of Yoshino and Shido only. I've got to see Yoshino for like ten minutes of their date. And she was so ducking cute. *^*

The battle was epic. They really know how to animate it. Tohka gets every season of movie new look lol. But Mayuri's dissapearing part was sad. She hasn't gotten much dialog though.

Now we just need to wait for the next season. It's bad that she got that little screen time in this movie, but I believe that in the next season there will be more of her. There will be next season, won't it?

The dating part was so cute, absolutely loved it. I thought i would see more of Mayuri though... since her name's in the title. Origami was one of the best parts too. She's so cute and funny now.

I always wanted to see more Date A Live so i got what i wanted, 10/10.

Oh and... I wanted more Kurumi :D

She's the best girl in this series.

Man they really went all out with this movie. Fucking loved it. The animations, visuals, and omg Tohka's transformation were freaking awesome.
The music was great too, and all the girls were really cute, just absolutely loved this.

And Kurumi at the end... so boss, she's too cool and awesome, her character's just so interesting. Mayuri's definitely added into his harem now. She's really cute, I like her voice too.

So glad i watched this in blu-ray 1080p

Oh and don't forget to watch the last 5-7 seconds of the movie. There's an additional scene.

Yess finally subbed.

I finished playing Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth1 last month and I was surprised to find out that one of the creators was also involved with the Date a Live series.

So it was interesting to see the similarities in both the series:
Birth of Mayuri -- Birth of Candidates
Astral Dress -- HDD Form

@JokerxHisoka Yea I agree this movie was like the Sora no Otoshimono Movie

It was nice to see all the girls getting a chance at date; wished that they were a bit longer. :/ And sad to see Mayuri go but maybe she'll be of help in the future of the series.

Hope the sales will do well. I'd like to see the end of the series (like with any series I enjoyed).

I'd give the movie 7.5 so overrated to an 8 on my list

Damn, ive been waiting for this for ages :D

It was enjoyable, i'll give it that although i wouldn't call it a movie, more like an epic OVA. Basic things out the way first; i liked the art (definitely better then season 2) and the soundtrack, i was quite surprised and happy when OP1 played.

As for the movie itself I mostly agree with everyone else, first half was really cute and nice. Despite some people hating it for "fan service", the show is a dating romcom yet its been a while since we've actually had a date (mostly Shidou dealing with spirit issues). I found most of the jokes and situations to be very funny, especially the parts with Origami (female Souka Sagara). Also liked the parts with Kotori, w..what.. it's not like im a siscon or anything... BAKA!

Now for the "main attraction", the second half most importantly Mayuri. I have to say when I came into this I greatly misjudged the film, I thought it in a similar structure to the other arcs (meet spirit, date, problems, kiss) except original of course. However this was of course wrong, unfortunately for some reason or another the final "chapter" was rushed so not only did we not really get to meet or talk with Mayuri (too bad she has a nice design) but it just went straight to the final fight without any development before finishing with a rather unstellar ending. Also it may have been the subs fault but I didn't really understand story very well, it kind of went Evangelion with "GIANT DEATH SPHERE" and something about chemicals/companys...

Liked:
Very funny
Nice dates
Balanced the harem very well (no one left out, oh except Mayuri...)
Mayuri too op pls nerf
Date a live faces

Didn't like:
Not enough Mayuri
Too rushed, went Eva on me...
Not enough Kurumi, just a tease...

Overall though very enjoyable, I R8 8/8 no B8 M8.

On a final note I am just too excited for Kurumi, she somehow had a very insidious aura about her even if she was only on screen for a minute. I feel there is going to a large confrontation with her soon, so to the guys who brought us season 1 "PLEASE GIVE US S3!"

I was disappointed, really. For a movie called Mayuri Judgement it's got rather little Mayuri in it. I wish the movie focused a lot more on Mayuri, like, Shido going out with her instead of the others (though, granted, that was fun, but it didn't give any character development) and then shit with Mayuri's Angel goes down. That way Mayuri would've gotten way more screen time and more development. It would've provided for some more sentiment near the end as well. I was hoping for more, though it was still definitely enjoyable.

They'd better make a season 3. I want more Kurumi and Tohka, but especially Kurumi.

To be honest, I woukd've liked this just as much if Miyuri wasn't in it and they cut the last 20 minutes out. Just seeing then all going on dates would've been good enough for me.

I didn't really feel like Shidou had a single reason to care so much about Mayuri disappearing. Felt a bit weird that it was called "Mayuri Judgement" when she played next to no part in the entire thing.

Still enjoyed it overall though.

I really hope there will be some kind of future plot development to bring Mayuri back. Seems like she could have a lot of potential. I was disappointed by the little bit of screen time she got and would love to see more of her. I haven't read the light novels though, so I'm sure that won't be the case.

This was an anime original movie and Mayuri was a character created for the movie so it didn't adapt anything from the light novels. It is highly unlikely we'll see Mayuri again.

In the beginning where the crowd is chanting Miku, it reminds me when I watched a Hatsune Miku concert.
Where the crowd was chanting "Miku!" for an encore lel

Anyways the first half of the movie was much kawaii, everyones so kawaii.
During Yuzuru's date I didnt really get it.
They went to some kind of turtle store? Then an alley?
Yuzuru said Origami cant be trusted so I assume these were places Origami said for her to go to which were super lame date spots.

Then the second part of the movie, fight happens outta no where.
How did Shido even know her name? He just randomly went all "Mayuriii!!"
The disappearing part would have been more meaningful if Shido and Mayuri had more screentime together.
Didnt really feel anything, how could they have a connection in the 30 seconds they have had time together?
Well sure shes basically all the spirits together but shes still her own person.

The fight was not bad and Tohka's new form was really cool with her boomerang duel wield broadswords
Wish Mana would get a new good looking suit though.

But still, the fight was seriously outta no where sooooo

Conclusion
First part : 8
Second part : 5

That after credit part got me though.

@Raydnt: How Shidou know her name? She even introduce herself. You probably failed notice it.
Well sure I wish there were some more screentime as well between Shidou and Mayuri, but since you have watched previous Date a live you know that he is kind of person.
Fight has a meaning itself, it didn't feel forced thought. ( I know this have been used but still good) .

Well, Kurumi helped them with what?

Well that was... disappointing. Felt like a dragged-out filler episode with some forced drama at the end. Like even ignoring the fact that we basically got 6 dates back-to-back, they basically introduce a new girl only to try to make us feel sad for her "death" literally minutes later. I'm sorry but that just doesn't work

The first half with the dates was nice.

Best girl Kurumi and Shiori made an appearance.

So Mayuri was a spirit created by spirit power concentrated to a single place. She's the persona of Caraveare and the vessel to do verification. Guess that's why it's called Mayuri Judgment. Caraveare attacked because of the jealousy Maruyi had.

It was okay. Wish a bit more was explained or added.

So far Kurumi has saved Shiro twice. I wonder how she's going to use that against him.

It was good, I give it 4/5 Stars by this rating, but it would be actually around 3,8 stars for me, anyway the dating parts were masterpiece for me(they could have been made better, but who cares), but then we got to Mayuri, I like her and all, but shit *SPOILER. Actually what spoiler, if you are here, you watched the movie.* the scene where she disappears didn't fucking made me cry, it made me sad, but not cry like Clannad, Angel Beats or other animes. If this scene was made better, I could simply say that it would have been close to 5/5 stars, maybe for my rating 4,9/5, which I consider masterpiece. Everything above 4,5/5 is a masterpiece for me. Basically Mayuri needed more character development. (Sorry for bad english)

Looking for the info about the volumes i found out that the story about Mayuri is a filler. So after watching the movie it really feels like a filler story, don't think a lot of people like fillers and i'm not an exception.
But overall it wasn't that bad, the scenes with Origami are pretty funny and liked Tohka fighting with 2 swords.

Very good movie, better than whole second season and on par with Kurumi's OVA.
I liked those dates in the first part and the epic action in the second one. Also the end which was nicely bittersweet.

But I still don't like Miku, her date was the worst. Maybe it's because of her voice. And there was apparent lack of Origami but maybe next time.

Other than that it was good watch.

I definitely have to agree with most of you in that Mayuri's character development was lacking. She had a great looking design, but really no depth to her character. The dates in the first half were pretty cute, especially Miku's (I have a weakness for that sort of thing in anime). The appearances from the other major girls in the series were okay. I adore Kurumi and wish that she had a bigger, and less ambiguous role. I used to really dislike Origami, but her appearances in the movie made me like her a bit more. If nothing else, she's an amusing character. Mana is still pretty pointless and unlikable though.
I really hope there's a third season; Date a Live definitely deserves one.

I couldn't really feel for Mayuri since there wasn't much character development with her. What exactly was the point of Mayuri kissing Shidou when she still disappeared and when in fact, Touka was the one who defeated it?

Honesty, the movie was a bit draggy. Some of the dates were a pain to watch and some had very horrible character development and obvious biased towards some of the characters, but the last part of the movie was worth the wait.

Note: I don't hate it, 45 mins of dating was too long for me xD
